The woodland wall paper is gorgeous! My tip as a parent of 2 boys - maybe don’t have anything on the wall above the change table (and having a change table unit on wheels is handy too) - because there will be times during a nappy change when you are not quick enough to “cover up” and you get a major squirt that goes straight up in the air and all over the wall! 😂Yup, happened quite a few times for us! 😂
To keep the room from getting to cool-toned, with all the green/grey/white, I'm thinking you should bring in some accents in orange/red, basing the colours off the deers/squirrels in the wallpaper. Maybe a shaggy rug, pillows and blanket in warmer colours?
I'm so glad that we get to see it now! You've picked a beautiful furniture set and wallpaper. When you start to fill up the walls, I would recommend incorporating some items that are different colours because it helps children develop colour recognition when they are surrounded by different colour groups. But I love the green! It creates such a calming atmosphere.
Thank you for all the BUMP content! My youngest is 17. I'm happy to not have babies because I'm old and need sleep. 😂 But it's so fun watching someone else's baby grow and seeing you nesting is awesome!
What a gorgeous wallpaper! Since you've already got white furniture for Baby, I think I deep green rug/carpet would really tie it together and bring out the leaves in the picture. It would also be helpful in showing less mess later as Baby grows and inevitably spills stuff 🤭
I adore the wallpaper and wall colour you eventually went with. Absolutely gorgeous. I wish we could share pictures on youtube so I could show off ours. One thing we added to our setup after baby was born - because then you know what works and what doesn't - was a little side table next to our nursing chair. The changing table was just a little too far to reach comfortably for me. As for the chair, YES to a high backed one. Ours isn't and despite it being very comfortable otherwise, when baby wants a contact nap, but doesn't want to sleep lying down, you want to be able to rest your head comfortably.
The play area for sure: kids table and chairs. Toy bin/ chest and a rather big whiteboard for when baby wants to write on walls😅. You might want to get ahead of that.😂
I just finished a book called Rooms To Grow Up In, I’d highly recommend it for anyone interested in decorating or D.I.Y furniture. It’s an older book released in the 80s but the ideas are classic and timeless.
You picked a nice theme for your son‘s room and i love how it ties in to the theme of your bedroom. To me, nothing screams more enchanted than Narnia‘s lamp post in the middle of the forest, and i think your room theme would benefit from the inclusion of the same kind of incongruent, but whimsical elements. Anyway, looking forward to seeing the finished room!
This is going to sound weird but I haven’t watched your channel in YEARS and just decided to check in on your content. Before I typed your username in I thought “she’s probably pregnant” and SURE ENOUGH! NURSERY VIDEO! OH MY GOSH, CONGRATULATIONS!!! BEST WISHES TO YOU!
Love the color and wallpaper, calming and playful at the same time. ❤ If you plan to hang things from the shelf consider that he might try to grab things whilst on the changing table, my kids almost broke the mobile over ours
Omg this video has inspired me to start my own nursery! You look so well pregnant and you radiate so much joy and inspiration! All the best for you, your baby and your husband! ❤
The wallpaper is ADORABLE! I love the enchanted forest theme; look for stuffed animals to lay around the room. They will also help the echo. Would the Ikea piece work in the 1/2 bath downstairs as storage? This is so exciting! 🤗🧸🧩
I feel way less guilty having moved furniture in my nesting frenzies while so pregnant 😂❤ 34 weeks this week! We're getting so CLOSE!!!! I am drawing so much inspiration from this nursery as well, because we're using a Benjamin Bunny theme 🥰
Well done on painting with no mess, that's amazing. Paper and paint are beautiful choices. I would recommend a thick luxurious bedspread that spills onto floor, for enchanted forest theme, in a deep moss green, along with a similar rug. So excited for you both 😊
I reccomend the ikea buy back programme they can be fussy about how items must be presented to them but a complete set of drawers should be straight forward. You get a gift card which can be spent in store or at the restaurant, so you can essentially get a free meal for returning the item 😎
Clicked on this SO FAST, haha! Love the look of the room! Enchanted Forest is perfect. ❤ My 3 (soon-to be 4) kids also have a pale green "woodland" room!
This is exactly how I wanted my son’s nursery! We did a mural instead of wallpaper, but I adore the wallpaper you chose. Unfortunately we moved house just as he turned one and we haven’t decorated his room in the new house yet. You mentioned that the baby’s room is huge and big enough for several bigger children. Is it pretty typical in the Netherlands for siblings to share a bedroom? I’m always super curious about family culture in other countries. In the US I feel like people look down on parents if they make their kids share a room. But with housing being so expensive now, a lot of families can’t afford larger houses.
The room looks so cute!! My and my brother's nursery as kids was almost that exact shade of green. The wallpaper is absolutely perfect and I almost want to have a kid just so I have an excuse to get fun wallpaper, haha
@@Loepsie omg really?? I thought they where everwhere!! I wouldn't now how to leave without! P.s.oh I'm so happy for you, I"ve been following you for years!!
*whispers* glow in the dark constellations on the ceiling XD also have you thought of hanging the hooks where they're less grabby by bub while changing them
I LOVE the nursery 🥹 Just as I would imagine my future nursery to look like! @SageLilleyman upholstered her own headboard, maybe you can have a look at it for inspo ❤ so excited to see everything finished! 😍
As someone who is currently also picking out paint colors, what's the final one called? It's so perfect, and I'll need the same compromise between happy/bright and muted/calm
Book recommendation...The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Woods. It is more of a lay on your belly read due to its size, but I think you and baby would really enjoy it. Plus there are subtle things to notice in the pages.
I love that we are close in due dates and both independently chose "enchanted forest" as our nursery themes 😂😂😂 does it come with the due date or something??
Very cozy nursery! Aren't the fumes from the paint unsafe for you? I'm also pregnant and I'm planning to DIY things as well. I'm curious which type of paint is safe for pregnant women. Thank youu!
Re furniture: don’t do what my mother did and buy a cheap glider! Make sure your rocking chair is super comfy as you’ll basically be living in it! I know we did 😂 (brother was born when I was ten and super attached to me so I spent lots of nights in that damn glider!)
I’d recommend leaving some free space on the wall for decor your kid will want to pick out himself! Or drawings he makes etc. It’s fantastic if everything fits the same aesthetic, but the kid might want certain things to look at chosen by himself :)
It will be at least a couple of years before that becomes an issue… and the room will likely change a lot in that time as the baby’s needs and the parents’ needs grow and change.
Just a technical note, rug will not sort out the echo, which is personaly too much for me from the sound of your video, but I know most people are less sensitive to that. The couch/chair will help much more and you might to look into some sound proofing (there are colour options now too, but read reviews for sure to get something functional!), if you want to have there as little stuff as possible :) Love the greens, I consider this very neutral colour pallet, so I was confuse at the end of your first baby sewing when the colour got back as before your clarification, it did not indicate gender to me at all :-D
Too funny, and that first paint sample it really looked like you were just rubbing the wall and nothing was going on there. Color is so weird in these videos.
Be careful of how much stimuli you put in the room. The baby is going to need blank walls near the bed to stare at to self calm in order to put himself back to sleep. I would recommend "the self calmed baby". I'm an infant specialist who works with first time parents and want to see you start off great! Beautiful room so far. So happy for you and your husband.
You need one of those rugs that looks like moss!!
Yes!
Agreed. That would be so nice in a forest nursery

What do you say about a dark green rug? That would imitate moss and might fit in well with the theme ✨🦊
I would do a dark green rug to pull out more of the colors in the wallpaper. Just a thought
To keep the room from getting to cool-toned, with all the green/grey/white, I'm thinking you should bring in some accents in orange/red, basing the colours off the deers/squirrels in the wallpaper. Maybe a shaggy rug, pillows and blanket in warmer colours?
Good suggestion. Even warm browns would be nice as well, to coordinate with the trees in the wallpaper.
hmm but how would orange be a fitting fairy tale color I think she would use more wood /nature items

You’re right, that wallpaper is amazing, precious, and very friendly looking! Nice choice, mama!
A charming room for baby. I agree about the mossy rug. I love the wall paper .
Ahhh it's so precious!!! Love this theme so much! We may do the same for our little one on the way!! ❤
What a gorgeous wallpaper! Since you've already got white furniture for Baby, I think I deep green rug/carpet would really tie it together and bring out the leaves in the picture. It would also be helpful in showing less mess later as Baby grows and inevitably spills stuff 🤭
I LOVE that green color and wall paper. So cute and whimsy!
A rocking chair is essential for relaxing and to feed the baby

Beautiful wallpaper and wall color, just need a big rug as you said. This will be 1 happy little boy.
The play area for sure: kids table and chairs. Toy bin/ chest and a rather big whiteboard for when baby wants to write on walls😅. You might want to get ahead of that.😂
A moss rug would fit the theme perfectly

What about unbleached linen for his curtains. A natural material to go with your nature theme. And perhaps a real tree.?
That wallpaper is so cute and whimsical! Great choice!!
you should paint the door into off white or light grey as well
but you've probably already figured it out yourself :)
LOL My OCD went into overdrive when she panned the room and it showed the door. I hope she paints it.
I think it looks very fresh and relaxing.
I feel way less guilty having moved furniture in my nesting frenzies while so pregnant 😂❤ 34 weeks this week! We're getting so CLOSE!!!! I am drawing so much inspiration from this nursery as well, because we're using a Benjamin Bunny theme 🥰
i had to move house at 36 weeks! 😅 ...with placenta previa! it was all good though, don't sweat it! 😊
Well done on painting with no mess, that's amazing. Paper and paint are beautiful choices.
I would recommend a thick luxurious bedspread that spills onto floor, for enchanted forest theme, in a deep moss green, along with a similar rug.

I LOVE THIS! THE COLOR, THE FOREST, THE CHANGING TABLE, EVERYTHING

So exciting! So beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Such pretty choices!
Very cute! Fits in perfectly with the rest of your home decor.
That wall paper is adorable!!!
I remember the mushrooms! 😂 Absolutely put those in baby's room! 👏🏻 The nursery is looking fabulous, dear. Love from California ❤
I love the wallpaper 😊 and I understood your explanation about the motif perfectly 😂
Damn, I'm gonna to get this wallpaper for myself! Also, can't wait to see the autumn decorations again.

So cute.
It looks great! But I highly recommend blackout curtains. Thank me later.
She is from Europe, I'm pretty sure she has shutters everywhere
No shutters here (I don't believe they're very common in NL, or at least in my area) but the curtains we have in this room currently are blackout! 😁
@@Loepsie omg really?? I thought they where everwhere!! I wouldn't now how to leave without! P.s.oh I'm so happy for you, I"ve been following you for years!!

That wallpaper ❤
Love the room!
*whispers* glow in the dark constellations on the ceiling XD also have you thought of hanging the hooks where they're less grabby by bub while changing them
Would there be a way for you to update the curtains? Dye them, embroider or add a patterned trim in the bottom? Just throwing out ideas ❤
Adorable...
loving it! x
So beautiful! Love your videos! and congrats :>>
Such a cute bedroom
Very sweet room ❤

Rocking chairs are notorious for getting toddler fingers caught in .....
Beautiful! What is the brand and colour of the paint please? It’s perfect.

what about a moss rug?

Lucy, love you and support you very much. I just wanted to ask/say that there is something wrong with the mic? Or the noise reduction?
I’d recommend leaving some free space on the wall for decor your kid will want to pick out himself! Or drawings he makes etc. It’s fantastic if everything fits the same aesthetic, but the kid might want certain things to look at chosen by himself :)
Oh for sure, all the styling in here is just mom and dad's taste untill he develops an opinion of his own, haha!
It will be at least a couple of years before that becomes an issue… and the room will likely change a lot in that time as the baby’s needs and the parents’ needs grow and change.

Hi y’all
what was the name of the paint color!
❤

Maybe the changing furniture should be higher for your back, even more if your husband is taller than you
Small rugs, that can be washed.
How do you pronounce Loepsie? Is that your name? Just after watching you for so long, I suddenly became curious.
I guess you haven't been watching long enough lol Her name is Lucy.
@@QueenChatty1 she pronounces her channel name ‘loopsy’, though.
