Most of every cars are black, white or grey. Red, blue or yellow sport cars are a better choice in my opinion.

If it was a 488 with twin turbos instead of the 458, I have doubts that the car will make you feel special as the 458 does. The unfiltered sound, power building up characteristics and the throttle response of the 458 is something else.
If I owned this car I would definitely use your stamp on a daily basis 😀

I think it is best not to drive Ferrari's they make everything else seem a bit boring : )

You are so brave to mount your dslr camera out of the car with a suction cup... I have not have the guts yet to mount my gopro in the oem gopro suction cup, I mounted it my son's power wheels once and it fell off!, I don't know if it is because it is plastic. I was thinking of a way to double protect it in case the suction cup falls but has not come with anything yet...

Amazing car. Only concern when used and possibly higher miles worst case scenario is the transmission if it goes its 25-32K depending on the dealer to replace. Rebuilds generally don't hold dealer said when it happened to a friend's car which had the same transmission but a California with 9K miles. It can be the sensors in the transmission that go bad which is a couple thousand to have fixed, but if that doesn't work you are in some serious trouble.
I like the 458 better than the 488. The 458 really does sound better and it has the last of that Ferrari charm, a little rough around the edges. The 488s are almost too good, digital feeling - like their soul was lost. That and now that they are public they are making a billion of them. The black + red combo isn't for me, I think they look best in Tour De France blue with tan. The internet photos don't do it justice, in person the blue is spectacular.

Loved the video Nick. I have a 360 and looking to upgrade to a 458 next year. I drove one recently and it's a massive leap forward. Prefer the 458 to the 488 too as it's the last of the NA cars.

I like the red interior and don't mind the yellow. Should've toned down the red a bit with black carpeting and more black on the door cards. I think that would've been more tasteful, but when I can afford a $300K car, I'll do whatever the hell I want so.... The exterior is beautiful. Nice choice.

they inject the fuel at moment of combustion? how does that work? wouldn't the pressure of 14 to 1 in the chamber push on the fuel being injected? and if not then wouldn't the fuel have to be a higher pressure than 14 to 1 before injection?

Nick, had you worn the same shirt and not ‘fessed up’ to camera issue (although I did laugh at the sky shot - only because I can completely relate), I would not have noticed the break in filming. I kept expecting to see blue and red in your mirror when you were driving the 458. You smoked your cameraman. Wow. Fast car. I totally want this car, but Franny has me looking at more practical cars for us. BTW. Our F car is RED!!! Is the yellow Ferrari in the same category as the yellow Porsche? I recently had a chance to drive a 458 Spider very similar to this car and it is an exceptional vehicle, however 2 particular things that were surprising about the car was the amount of body twist/shake over rough roads when the top was down and I know I am alone in my opinion on this next one but I really didn’t think it sounded that great.....the exhaust valve does this open/close thing around 3k RPM and it’s very annoying and sounds a bit contrived. Maybe it’s my memory but I rode in a 355 Spider many years ago and I remember that car sounding incredible and having an amazing shriek at high revs, the 458 completely lacked that same sensation. Also, was the pavement cold when you tested it or the tires perhaps worn based on the back end trying to step out like that? It’s s mid engine car with not a lot of low end torque from that high revving V8 and I didn’t notice the slightest bit of wheel spin at all when I drove it

you should have pushed the bumpy road button on the steering wheel ;-) then it will drive fine also on secondary roads ;-) It is also imho mandatory to install a aftermarket exaust flap (remote) control unit to keep the flaps as open as you like it and to listen to the sound of freedom.
I just came back from a 2000km tour through northern italy with my 458 spider and it was absolutely awesome!!! had also big fun on the stelvio pass ;-)

Not true at all. A GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS and even the Turbo S are 911s too, and most of the models I mentioned run rings around the 458. They also demand huge dollars which is comparable to the more flamboyant counterparts, so how are they a poor man's sports car...So is a Cayman a poverty sport car? what about a Miata...

lb-ft is the same but it's the north américain way of calculating torque. I'm in Canada and always have to look up what NM mean in lb-ft. as most countries dont calculate in NM anyways.

the color grading is off. the white seatbelts look yellow.
The 458 just makes you feel special to be driving it. never wear jeans in one with light colored seats, That ill make your dad mad. Those seats love to pick up new colors. but they're really not that quick. There slower than you'd think. There's a lot of stuff in the price range that will walk a 458. Ive beat them in my daily.
