I got to drive a 458 Italia in maranello last month for my birthday. What an incredible machine. It made my 2014 mustang gt feel as slow as Kia Soul. Definitely the fastest car I’ve ever driven
Hi Matt! This was definitely a welcome surprise! Awesome review as always and I loved your reactions as well! This is one of the highlights of my week! :)
The classic ferrari look. Bright punchy red, tan interior, silver wheels, and of course the pouncing horse bat the front and back. Truly an Italian marvel.
Matt, I think you got one thing totally wrong. I wouldn't use the stereo to listen to beautiful music, but to great auto reviews on RUclips by Matt Maran. :) What a great car! Thanks for sharing that with us. Be well.
This would definitely be in my garage if I ever win the lottery. I agree with you on the styling. I think I like it better now than when it came out. Great review man! I'd love to see more of these "older" classic cars if you can get ahold of them. Even older JDM stuff would be cool.
@@skip741x3 Yeah it exceeded my expectations. I was thinking 630hp. They've pretty much destroyed my desire for a Ferrari. I have a C6 Z06 and I hope to add the new car when it is no longer marked up to insanity. Say about 5 years. Lol
Wait let me guess, it accelerates amazing on backroad in 3rd gear, doesnt ride too hard, and just feels great all around with a few gripes here and there
Great review, it's such an awesome car! One thing to keep in mind for future reference: most Ferrari enthusiasts call these "four five eight", which is how it was introduced to the world back in 2009 and 2011 (for the Spider). ruclips.net/video/UB_ZdBjRACU/видео.html
Not the kind of car that you want to store in a garage just to keep the miles low as far as driving is concerned. You can see from this video how flat and precise it corners together with how well all the machinery is synchronized.😊
Now lets be honest. Can Ford ever beat a Ferrari like that?? As much as a V8 and dohc Ford love, I d say No.. European engineering is far superior to American ones
I miss the days when you did normal cars the average Joe could buy, but I understand your pockets are getting deeper thus you are no longer the average Joe or Matt for that matter lol.
Sadly Ferrari is so anal on their cars. Would love a widebody like liberty walk or gt3 kit. But youll end up getting a cease and desist letter in the mail.
Came for that 0-60 impression stayed for Matt and that Ferrari!
I love the fact that you still do older car reviews 👌 please keep doing them.
I don't have as much time to do them anymore, but I'm hoping to do more eventually!
@@MattMaranMotoring That's understandable. Hopefully this does well enough for you to justify doing them more haha
This. So Much this. I love this kind of content.
Of course the good old school style never dies. I start following Mat when I still didn't have a driver license when I was 19 or so and I'm 28 now.
The right interior and exterior color combo for a Ferrari. The high-revving scream alone is worth it.
Such a throwback seeing a 458 being reviewed in this spec. I still remember watching Clarkson ring this around the track making fun of James 430.
I absolutely love the 458!! Amazing machine!!! My friend drive a Novitec 458 as daily since 2011, gorgeous car! Great content mate!
Thanks!
0:01 Matt, WHAT ARE THOSE?!?!? Haha love you buddy.
Awesome review Matt !!! Love seeing your reactions when you get powerful machines like this one 🔥💪👍🏼

That's awesome! I drove a 430 Scuderia in Maranello about 10 years ago, it was amazing too!
Awesome video!! Peak V8 Ferrari imo! Also, it blows my mind that this car is getting close to 10 years old. Beautiful design.
It's actually over 10 years old. IIRC the car was first unveiled in 2009 and the first model years are 2010s.
This is just amazing, takes me back to some of your older videos with the raw authentic reactions 😂🔥
Matt, I’ve owned my ‘15 458 Spider for around 6 months now and I basically share the same experience as your vid. It is the greatest car ever made.
Hi Matt! This was definitely a welcome surprise! Awesome review as always and I loved your reactions as well! This is one of the highlights of my week! :)
I’m glad you liked it!
The classic ferrari look. Bright punchy red, tan interior, silver wheels, and of course the pouncing horse bat the front and back. Truly an Italian marvel.
Come in Matt! More reviews like these. Love this kind of content. The. The F40 was my dream car

Glad u still doing great on these videos 🙌🏽
Great review Matt! Love your reactions and how much fun your having. Exactly how I’d be feeling in this beauty. Keep up the great work!
It makes me happy to hear the happiness in Matt's voice. He's defintiely not mailing it in!

This is going to be an awesome review!
LOL @ 11:55. Is that a Michael Jackson impression or Marv in Home Alone 2 getting electrocuted?! Hahahahahah I love you’re expressions.
That was fun. Your face when mashing the throttle is priceless.
I would take a 458 over a 488/F8, easily.
That's a nice looking car. Thanks for a fun review. At that price it's nice that it doesn't disappoint. It does seem like a fun drive.
Couldn't be the only one with a giant grin on their face during the entire review 🤣 that exhaust!!🔥🔥🔥
I don’t understand why Matt doesn’t have a tv show. I love jay leno but Matt is way more exciting. Great job Matt!
Such a beautiful car, the 458 still holds up today and still blows me away with that 3.9 v8 goodness 🔥 nice review Matt!
Great video! Thank you Matt, and Daniel!
Great review! That sound is intoxicating. Would you take this sound or the GT350 if you had to choose Matt?
This for sure!
My Favorite Car from my Favorite Reviewer! What a day!!!
A truly special car for an awesome reviewer!
I thank God for blessing me with my 458 spider
So sweet!! This is my fav car to drive in Assetto Corsa for some reason
Matt in a Ferrari. His head may explode on acceleration.. 🤯 ❤️
miss these reviews
Omg now this is my actual dream car for the weekend
I believe it was an package option for color coordinated fender badges, brakes, and wheel center caps
Got one and I love it! I love it more than my F8 Spider!
11 years old and this thing still looks great.
I agree!
You never disappoint Matt!
Pure exhilaration. Your inner child seems quite happy after driving this 458. Congratulations.
What a great honor. That was probably $15,000 in depreciation and worth it!🤪😇
I had the exact same thoughts, there's probably about $5000 worth of engine work on the car in this video, lol
great review young man
Great review! Steering wheel is so good
Nice. Working on getting an F8 to review my first Ferrari.
HSLHOFF 😂. Perfect vanity plate.
Please let us know how it compares to the C8 Z06 when you get to drive one. I know the 458 is one that they benchmarked.
Will do!
to my ears, the C8 Z06 exceeds the 458 soundwise by a considerable margin.. if chevy aimed to equal it, they not only succeeded but surpassed it.
@@skip741x3 Yeah it exceeded my expectations. I was thinking 630hp. They've pretty much destroyed my desire for a Ferrari. I have a C6 Z06 and I hope to add the new car when it is no longer marked up to insanity. Say about 5 years. Lol
Would love a review of the first California! Assuming it would be similar
Like the good old days!
I’m actually driving the 2011 Ferrari 458 Spider on this game called NFS Heat
Race me

Such a thrill ride. Very good car.
Nice Matt! Was that really the factory exhaust?
Yep!
Ohhh the acceleration reaction will be good
Matt reviewing a Ferrari? Oh I gotta watch this one.
Of course never gets old lol!
My dream Ferrari since the f40
G80/g82 M cars anytime soon Matt?
Ring that thing out, man!
Peak Ferrari Design.
Great video! thanks
Only 9k miles in 8 years?? Gotta enjoy that ride more often
He's the second owner and has been driving it a ton to make it for all the sitting it did with the first owner :)
That’s actually the ferrari i would chose
N/a, open roof, that sound!!
some days it must feel like you have the best job in the world
Haha yeah this was definitely one of those days!
imma have one of these one day fr
Many people have said that the 458 is one of if not the best Ferrari ever made.
Matt with a Ferrari? 🤔
Wait let me guess, it accelerates amazing on backroad in 3rd gear, doesnt ride too hard, and just feels great all around with a few gripes here and there
458 still gives that special feeling, not turbo, not hybrid, not F8 488, but 458
Best car in the last 20yrs.
That sound
Nice shoes :)
Great One!!!
458 is so nasty! I’d love to have one!
I like it !
9:47 is why you all clicked on this lol.

Pre chip shortage the higher mileage 458's were like 130k. What a deal
130k you buy a car all beat up with alot miles and scratches, chips. I bought mine for 250, you got what you pay
@@robsonrissotrainer what year is yours? How many miles have you put on it?
do something about those socks and shoes dude, reminds me of revenge of the nerds.
The one person who disliked this video doesn't have a soul.
Dude!! How cool. I’d love to just be in passenger seat
458 speciale is the best sounding Ferrari ever!!
Love your videos, but sorry it is a ***Ferrari Four Five Eight*** not four fifty eight.
5:16 matt barely makes it halfway up the seat.

The last great Ferrari
