Saw him at the Coliseum in Jacksonville. He's one of the most talented guitarists ever known. Glad to have witnessed his talent. God bless SRV.
Saw SRV at a club in Cocoa Beach Florida. Sat within arms length right in front of him. All my friends were into Kiss and all the hair bands. It was the best concert I have ever attended.
I got lucky enough to see Albert King that way in Columbus Ohio. One of the best shows I ever saw. He was a real nice guy too.

One of my biggest regrets is not going to see SRV when he came to Santa Rosa in 1989, but I thought I would have another chance to see him again, but he was suddenly gone.

I have been saddened by quite a few musical artist that I liked from their passing but when SRV died I wept uncontrollably.

SRV was and is one of a kind, there was never anyone like him before or after. My dad took me and my Mom to see him when I was 12, a year later he was gone. I'll never forget that show, it was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. SRV live was like watching an immortal come back to life. I really can't explain it, you just had to be there. RIP Stevie Ray Vaughn, somewhere the house in Heaven is rockin.

i worked with a guy 25 years ago who claimed to have lived with stevie in the 70s and claimed to have hours of tape of him playing and said he would never let it out. craig kelly if your still alive we need those tapes. west texas at the time he told me.

I think later at this same performance he broke a string on his guitar. He kept playing, casually unstrapped the guitar and someone slid another one under him and fastened it, and he never missed a lick.
No discredit to StevieRay, when this happened to Bb King, BB King replaced the string onstage while playing……before the song was over, and he never missed a guitar lick.
That guitar was relecked naturally. No custom shop required.

Back when I was about 13, I got a CD of his greatest hits. It's my oldest and most favored recording. He just embodies MUSIC. There's been very little that copies him and none that captures his ability. He's always the first test of any sound system I come across; and the first test of my friends. RIP and know you're loved.
