Lyrics:
Well you've heard about love givin' sight to the blind
My baby's lovin' 'cause the sun to shine
She's my sweet little thing, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby, heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thing, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby, she's long and lean
You mess with her, you'll see a man get mean
She's my sweet little thing, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby, like the finest wine
Stick with her until the end of time
She's my sweet little thing, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby, heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She's my sweet little thing, she's my pride and joy
She's my sweet little baby, I'm her little lover boy

Stevie didn't invent the guitar. He gave it a reason to exist.
Am I the one who start his comment with "actually there's..." no SRV is the best!
@@neurotica5461 How dare you add Tom Morello in with 3 legends like that
@@neurotica5461 tom morello??🤔
I think Hendrix fits that role more.

There are Guitarists, and there is Stevie Ray Vaughan. Legend.
He inspired John Mayer
Damn right
He’s the legend period! He’s also the best sleep talker. Doesn’t even open his eyes once. That coordination is insane from him.
100% LEGEND!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
And the rest.......
Amazing how much healthier he looked in '89 compared to '83. His addiction took a lot out of him before he rehabbed.
AvgDude , yeah but that 1983 El macambo concert? Holy hell,!! And he wasnt .....the healthiest then
I must add too that, ...not too say that he was better with drugs, of course it was the best thing he or any one could do witch was kicking that CRAP! Bit what an amazing person ‘-Guitar palyer
Gino Delucia I think his ‘89 concert on ACL was his finest. His best albums, In Step and Brothers came after he went clean. His early work was certainly great, but his worst was the Live Alive album he did when things were out of control for him.
El Macambo is the best for me, personally. Didn’t like seeing him late but little wing and Lenny on that are probably my favorite versions he did
@@AvgDude he had far better concerts than that, you just need to look for them. Everyone goes on and on about ACL because they havent seen anything else. And do you mean family style? Brothers was a single
People sitting there listening to a man set fire to the world and having no idea how quickly the universe would slam the door on it.
There will never be another Stevie Ray Vaughan ❤!!!!❤
The fact that he doesn’t even have to look at his instrument to play any note. Skills are beyond insane 😨🤯
When God made Stevie he was just showing off! 🎸🤙🏼
He died too young can only imagine what compilations he could have brought
The passion the He puts on every note it's intense, raw, pure and hard to find. When music comes from the soul you feel the connection. Thanks for sharing.
On a bad day roll this out ull feel better.Luv U SRV...
That's what I'm doing. I'm detoxing off opioids. This really helped.. sleep peacefully, SRV.
God broke the mold when he made Stevie..... RIP
Im beyond happy that this channel has been uploading more often
same, just upload absolutely everything though, no reason to keep anything in the vault
Same
Tom Dijk exactly
So, so sad that we lost this wonderful musician! Heartbreaking! I could listen to him all night.
SRV's best version of Pride and Joy. The 2 solos were just clean and sweet and polished!
How can you be this good at 23 years old. And his voice too man, crazy
Born to play. Yessss. Agreed.
He was actually 29 during this performance.
@@laremare oh yeah I thought it was 83’
@@oll6531 he was born in 1954 and this was in 1983
SKILL = he carried his guitar and played it=practiced and listen to Albert King, B.B. King, other real Blues musicians....first picked up brother Jimmie's guitar at 7 yrs old. A woman described his voice as Honey over Gravel. xxox
Who else has been listen to SRV for 30 plus years and will still listen till we are dead and gone🔥❤🎸🎶🎵🎙🔊
Me!
19 years old listening to Stevie since the day I was born and will til the day I die
Im 13 and when I heard Stevie for the first time I couldn’t stop listening to his music. R.I.P Stevie
Best ever
We play this with our garage band 🙂
You can see he felt every note and riff he ever played or sang. 🎸🎶🎼
He did not play a guitar. No. He WAS the guitar! The best ever!!
Happy Birthday to you Stevie. You should have been 69 today. RIP
The God of guitars!
This has to be one of the most aggressive versions he did. Man did he it hard here!
BB KING had Lucille, SRV had LOVER BOY. You know you can play when you name your guitar Lucille and Lover BOY. Their music transcends time and lives on after their passing. I can listen to SRV any time, any place, any where 40 years later. R.I.P. brother
Very cool!
My dad got me into Stevie Ray, he had his whole cd collection and would play it while he worked. So when i would work with him I would hear it all, didn't quite appreciate it when i was younger, but as an adult I realize how lucky I was to have a dad with great taste in music!
Miss you pops thanks for great tunes.
30 years, you're still missed.
What a signature sound and look. This is what real rock n blue soul looks like.
Rick ❤️
Pray that Texas learns to celebrate their own...grew up in Austin, and his music was everywhere especially on KLRU and ACL. Pray that his genius is promoted and others hear what really is the sound of central Texas and Austin....in Jesus Name...
This particular performance of this song is my absolute favorite. He’s not sweating quite so much and he’s not quite so skinny. He seems happier. He can rock that guitar. I know most experts put Jimi Hendricks as the best guitar player of all time, but I don’t know. SRV and Glen Campbell neither are too shabby! I could watch videos of GC and SRV play guitar all day and not tire of it.
Have you ever watched Roy Clark a bit? Not saying he's better, but darn he's good!
a lot of people actually consider SRV technically better than Hendrix (and matter of fact he actually was).
hendrix layed the foundation that srv mastered in my opinion
This dude didn't need to sell his soul, his soul was already here for this
Steve , Jimmy Hendrix & Jimmy Page, God's of the guitar world!!
Im crying
GOAT.
From before, now, and after.
The greatest of all time.
Always will be.
You know I know he was doing some heavy shit back in those days but that is he still play like crazy and had the chops down. Totally firing on all cylinders at 3 minutes 30 seconds. Love you Stevie all the time.
that outfit looks so badass on him
Looks silly til that gui-tar howls, then it's like whoa....this sh#@ ain't silly!! Badass!!
Same outfit he wore for the in session with his hero albert king
color of his gown is painful to look at
I love the Freddy king lick add in
There will never be another Stevie Ray Vaughan!!!❤❤!!!
2:48 imagine being there watching SRV omfg
was fortunate enough to see him on several occasions, 1st time was my 2nd concert I ever went to in 85'...he was amazing live, you could not believe how good he really was on guitar...
R.I.P Stevie Ray Vaughan
❤️❤️
He just never gets boring to listen to, which lets be honest, sometimes blues guitar can be a bit one dimensional. Not Stevie. I love how his solos keep the same feel as on the albums despite him actually doing mostly improvising. I also love how he plays behind the beat at 2:22 to really give it that heavy walking feel. He just has so many cool little things that he does that you might not really even notice if you arent paying attention
How can you tell he's playing behind the beat in this instance? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question
The greatest guitar player ever lived!!!
Hard to believe it’s been 30 years ago today that SRV left us. Your music will live in forever!
👋
Channelled his music through his fingers like, from beyond. When he went down (near where I'm from), y'all, my music friends and myself were so so sad. I know y'all know that story. On a lighter note, thank God for this footage, and in '83 it was 'footage'. I love singing his songs! How about you all? What are your memories?
He's the baddest guitar player I ever heard. Hope he's in Heaven playing for the Lord.
saw him in 82 at beach bar in Cocoa Beach Fl, best show I've ever seen. (and Johnny Winter)
Damn!
I don’t think he opened his eyes once throughout this whole performance.
Dear guitar god... i hope you stay play pride and joy in heaven...❤
One of the goats.
❤
If there ever was a man that was truly "one" with the guitar, it was SRV......
I am awfully glad that this and the rest of 1983 A. C. L. exists unmarked and I miss him so it hurts, but knowing and believe me I know. All three are the going through the confusion and misery of being in active addiction and it breaks a 27 yr. clean and sober addicts heart , but stick around till the miracle happens. Constantly watch the 1989 A.C.L. to see a completely different S.R.V. and D.T. Some of you will understand,Peace, Rocky.
Rock
Not a cell phone in sight. Just people sitting and vibing in the presence of greatness on stage. What a time.
The ultimate wedding song ....start with something slow then this takes over 🕺💃
Gerry !!
@@LauRoot892 bro u gotta chill out lmao
How can one comment on a Super Star other than he is Love personified. God bless you SRV.
Crazy as it may be I remember what I was doing and where I was when I heard one of his songs for the first time. Stevie message and music just resonate with me ❤
What a fucxxxx legend, I’m a sweating by watching and listening. Holly molly.
⭐️😍❤️🌹❤️🔥
2:22 sounds like a piano, can only imagine how big those strings are !
he was strumming the strings at the Bridge Area which is the most area where the strings are at tension , so it gives that METAL break sound
I’m sure he used to rob strings off the insides of pianos Stevie and the Beatles did it 👍
He played on 13s mostly and still broke strings lol
@@Ninja-nn4oryour comment is old but stevie only used 13s for his high and low e the rest were from sets of 11s and 12s
thus the best performance of this song
He had the language of "guitar" down perfectly. You can heare it in the ease of his notes. . .
There will never be another SRV.
Greatest guitar player ever. So sad he is gone. Rock on in Heaven SRV
Glad to see more uploads of Stevie and DT. It really picks the mood up
Omg I love his music he is music
One of the best bands ever
I saw SRV in 1985 as part of double bill at Varsity Arena in Toronto with Dire Straits. The crowd didn't know what to make of him since most of them were there for Money for Nothing and wondering if Sting would show up. Stevie won them over.
Dire Straits had a ton of guitar fanatic fans. A few people showed up for Money for Nothing. It's not the kind of band that attracts casuals or chicks. So, nice story, but you're wrong. Cheers.
James 👋
Anybody out there can compete with that sound? Amazing!
Surely, the best version!
Stevie went out there this night a bucket of nerves, but he was serious business.
This is my favourite version.
One of my all time favorites ~ ❤️
やはり、ブルースロックはSRVだヨ!!
I’ve listened to pride and joy all my life just never really looked into live videos of SRV till recently I’ve been watching videos of legends and all I can say is holy shit he’s 10000% better than I had already thought I had no idea he could do that to a guitar 🤯
Mike
Check out Superstition video with Stevie Wonder n the cat its BADASS.
Amazing talent.. look how he hits all notes in that fret with no look.. like no single note is missed 😂
Best guitar player ever!!!!! SRV really rips it!
Phy
...he probably lives next door to Jimi now.... what a neighbourhood....
Not my type of music but this guy is hands down the best guitar player to live. If he Touched the Metal genre he would of fucking crushed it
I grew up listening to stevie. He's about the only blues I really like listening to but man do I love playing it on guitar. I listen to rock and metal but I would rather do a blues jam than play a rock concert any day.
Up there with the best ever... What a talent
Pride and joy played with the Red Strat now that's I've never seen cuz Stevie usually used his number one. Awesome... Tnx.
This show is when I first saw Stevie Ray Vaughan. RIP to the greatest
My favorite I miss Steve ray was the best his heart and soul luv ya🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤
Stevie Ray Vaughn was the best guitarist ever! ...Miss him so much & had to love him and his music!....RIP Stevie Ray Vaughn!
3 chordplayer without own style copy of albert king very conservativ
Nope. EVH
Thank you
what do you want more...simple the way i like it...vocals bass guitar drums...there you go...pure as it could be....
Blues Rock Genius ❤️💙♥️
Hey 👋
I saw him play this on Austin City Limits on KERA PBS Blew me away! Fantastic
Gracias por tu paso entre nosotros!! Love you Stivie ❤
OMG it's just so feckin tight!
I first saw Stevie live at the Worcester, Ma. Centrum. He went on before the Moody Blues and he and his band were fantastic! The place was rocking. What a sound the three produced. The Moody Blues weren't too bad either. LOL
Hi 👋
What year was that concert?
This is a MAN doing the
GODS a favour and there is only genuine gemius as he was so core centred in himself without a lick of stardumb in betwixt the being and the space he flowed in with incredible, awesome, sublime skill
Too many let the slimelight weight drag them down to drown in self appraised , egone zone and they sound less and less real like a desperate person with fatal hiccups.
Stardumb, good one!
One of the coolest cats ever, r.i.p. Stevie ❤️
There's only one SRV. So many decades after the helicopter accident (?) in 1991, you're still the one and only guitar hero after Jimi.
Bet not be no dislike for this genius...
Happy 4th of July Stevie Ray Vaughan and still celebrating your fabulous music..your still kicking ass with your legendary music..live on
Great song, fantastic performance and even whilst sat at work on a cold, wet, October day this song brightens my day.
Jones 👋
FANTASTIC
30 years since this American treasure left us. 😞 rest in peace ole boy. Were down here enjoying what you left us 💚✌
I like to think god took him cause the lord had to see this man play a guitar in person 😎😆
