- Ecolawn Applicator ECO250 top dresser. A fantastic machine for spreading compost or sand on a lawn or golf green. This is an amazing machine and I would highly recommend it if you can find one to rent or purchase.

Honestly IAM glad Connor got one of these. The dude has two like a few things for free, and doesn't flaunt it. And also doesn't give sugar coated reviews.
I refuse to kiss butt. I won't do it
"two like a few things" ?
That machine is killer!! The dream maker:) Good job Connor on getting to demo one!
Cool, can't wait to see this in action! Thanks again for you time!!
looking forward to a new video of top dressing your lawn :)
And what a nice truck in your backyard!
nice addition to your arsenal tools ,happy for you
Game changer and a great purchase. Ryan already had two of them.
I looked into a top dresser dresser for my lawn, but I only have 5000 ft² to deal with. But that gorilla cart you always use I went and got one, and it is great. I moved 5 yd of soil from my backyard renovation in 3 hours. I'm 60 years old I'd say the gorilla cart is awesome!!!
Thanks for showing it to me.
Yes the gorilla cart works so well and is so much less miney
Love mine! Close to over a couple hundred applications with mine. Check and make sure your end chain link isn't connected by a cotter pin. Weak point. Learned the hard way. The work of ten guys for sure. Comand topsoil for the win!
Just ❤️ that machine, simplifies everything and that’s right, with a Honda, it says it all
Looking forward to see how it stands Rebel handling 🤩
Finally Connor, you deserve a nice spreader. Spread the love 😁👍
Would love one. Enjoy it. Can’t wait for the content
Wow. That place has really developed since I saw your videos. It’s been a good bit. Sorry busy with work not much time to watch everyone’s videos.
That equipment is the cats pajamas! Wishing me had a larger parcel! Good stuff Connor! Liking the content! Cheers!
I own a ECO 250 and Level Yards during the summer. I’d suggest that you make sure your material is as dry as possible and open the door first before you engage the belt otherwise it will clog and get stuck.. Have fun !!
Wish I can afford one. 7k. Glad for you connor. Awesome machine.
Love my Ecolawn 250!! The Lawn Ladd Ontario Canada!
What a fantastic machine! I wish they were more readily available on the rental market.
Is there a place i could rent this out in 49505 area?
That Ecolawn Applicator is pretty sweet!!
Nice piece to add to your lawn arsenal. Spreading sand or custom mix will be a breeze.
Last Aussie 😁. Back saving equipment 😎👍👍. The lawn Rebel reading the owners and safety manuals , must be suffering heat stroke there that day Connor . 😳😬
Love that machine! I wish they rented them locally.
What a cool machine. I hope it works well!
Well that’s just made life a lot easier aye, that looks like a great piece of kit. Really great video Connor. Spring is now here in Australia, and I’m prepping for my renovation. I can’t wait
Also, I appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos.
My dad has told me once I reach 1k subscribers and once the lawn is lookin great, he will look at buying me a reel mower. How good would that be. I’ll get there one day soon.
Have a good one Connor and keep safe man
Great video thanks for sharing.
This is the video we have all been waiting for
Just wait and see what it does with 20 tons of sand
@@lawnrebel Glad you got a serious piece of equipment for you to do that job with this year.
Congrats bro! You deserve it
I’ve been waiting for a review on this!
Having seen Lawn Tips and now you using the Eco-250, I know it’s a legit piece of gear.
I service/maintain a couple of these (prior model it seems) and there are a few issues. The company that owns them sells a variety of materials from chips to mulch to compost to topsoil. These are typically rented with a trailer full of material. The comment made about moisture content is dead on. If the material is sticky in the least, it will just hollow out under the hopperload and the belt will run empty. We put manual agitators on them to sort of jostle the material and try to keep it on the belt. They do work well for light, dry material. One problem we have is not with the machine but more with the customer. We won't rent it for anything it won't spread correctly and safely. So off goes a load of proper material and after the customer finishes it, we have no control over what they try to spread after that. Concrete for all I know. I know they come back in need of repair, even 2 of them with broken transaxles. Also mentioned was the hitch pin clips and cotter pins. The mfg chose to go pretty light duty on nearly all the hardware, and it shows. Several improvements can and should be made of you purchase one, and definitely learn the limits of the machine. Parts are available, but aren't cheap. Need a grease gun and some wrenches to keep the main belt tracking or it will chew the edges off and need replacing. The drive belt are just standard vee belts, but they also need adjustment. I'd say overall, for light duty use, even in the commercial environment, the concept is great, but I hope the design evolves to address several issues the machine has.
Oh, and working close to say, a flower bed, you need a deflector plate to keep that side of the machine from flinging material in the bed....or on the driveway...or the street. If you're looking to rent one try the bulk sources of mulch in your area. More likely to find one there than the usual rental outfits.
I'm actually toying with building a truly commercial duty machine that will do this. That said, these do work, within limits. They may be a little rich for the average homeowner, but if you have a nice large place, and the bucks....go for it, but watch the weak points. I have one in the shop now ready to reassemble after the aluminum differential housing broke. Customer probably overloaded it, we don't know. Transaxle expensive enough I'm willing to beef it up some. I machined a steel reinforcing part to patch up the cast aluminum. It won't break there again.
Just bought one 2 weeks ago. Trying it out Thursday!!!
Its fantastic
Ohh yeah that's an awesome unit to own if you can afford it!
This is an awesome machine. I would love to own one.
Nice machine, wish Tool rental shops would carry these. Great Canadian company from Magog Québec 👍🏻, will make your top dressing a lot easier 👍🏻😉
We need this Luc 😂
@@KillingItCountry I know right…B&T MacFarlane sells them but I think they are like $4k and up 😳
Let’s go, Brother Ward!!
I’ll have to come rent it from you in the morning!
I spread about 12 bags of peat moss today after seeding my SISSY GRASS and wife was on a tear for a while cleaning up all the dust that blew in thru the windows. 🙈🙈
You lawn, well done.
Cool machine, but for $8k new, you really have to be in business for it to make sense. Really versatile and desirable for sure. Great content on this channel.
I love it!!!!!
Wish we had a place near me to rent one of those. Pretty nice piece of equipment!
Is there a place i could rent this out in 49505 area?
I have been looking to rent one of these around Indianapolis for years . Zero luck
I am not at all jealous!🤩
This machine is great
-- Rant Alert-- Alot of the rental companies don't carry them in Georgia Warm season country. The Place Ron Henry got his rental from has a "package" that includes trailer, dingo front loader, and a eco lawn spreader for $$$$$. but they only have like one eco lawn they charge $$$ if you cancel. what if it rains, what if your sand does not get delivered. the rental companies say they break alot so it is not worth them carrying them. but yeah buying one as a home owner for 7k for something you use maybe 4 times a year max does not make since for me. But very happy for you Connor
If you go REALLY fast you can throw it far enough to do Barb’s lawn while you’re doing your own. 😀🙃
This is true. I had already planned on doing this
We need an update on her lawn
This is so great.
That thing Is awesome
Respect the mullet 👊👍
This would be great as a rental option. Don't need to own or store one of these, but would like to rent for a day or two once a year.
Agreed. I've called the rental companies and the landscape companies don't know where to source one either. It's almost worth buying just to rent it out if that wasn't such a hassle to do it.
Oh boy, are you moving into the big times free equipment.
He got a free tractor as well
@@joemama8379 yes he did we should start calling him the big show lol
That’s gonna be a huge time and back saver
Connor this machine is going to make your job a lot easier
Already has yesterday
@@lawnrebel no I like the Machine but it’s really pricey…
Very nice
Nice unit
Hey Connor. I used this machine before and the only worry in terms of safety i experienced was max filling it and operating on a risen area... it nearly flipped so my advise would be to half or three quarter fill it for anyone with those type of areas 👌
Thank you
Mr moustache is the DON!!
Game changer light top dressing monthly now
I want one!
Would be really nice for sand leveling just laying a lot of sand down then going over with some level drags
Very cool
I’ve been considering their tow behind version, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Very cool equipment
The same reason Amazon uses affiliates to drive sales
I have the eco 50. Pull it with my 52" ferris z2. Spread out 6 cu yards in 90 minutes. Customer was thrilled. Walking is over rated.
I drove 2 hour to rent one and when using it, the conveyer kept stoping due to the weight. Since it kept doing that when it would start up again it would leave piles on the ground. Other than that I liked the idea of it. I have an acre and wish there was a really large one that would hold about 15 yards of soil.
look up Manure Spreaders. they hold a large amount of material
OMG...your dream come true...
Great video. I thinking about starting my on leveling side business and would love one of these. Do you get the price?
I've been trying to find one of these to rent!!!!!
Hopefully you look and respond to comments on your older videos, but have been watching for a couple of years and enjoy your opinion.
Question for you is, do you know of any companies down in the Ogden area that allow you to rent machines like this?
I am looking to apply some sand to my yard, looking to aerate my yard this week.
Are you still gonna work the sand into the lawn with your drag after top dressing?
OHHH YEEEEAAHHHH!!!
Mr moustache is the Don!!
When someone gives ya crap you can sure give it to them now. 😂
IMO there should be a screen type "lid", which must be closed for the engine to start.
That will save you a ton of time 👍👍.
Connor are you going to switch irrigreen sprinkler heads in the future?
in England we find safety pants hilarious
It costs too much for me to buy, and I can't find one available to rent anywhere around me. This really is something that a homeowner would rent, so it's a pisser for sure.
The "Auger" needs to be sped-up to compensate for weight with this model.
Dryer material you will be fine, but anything with more that 20% Moisture, will get clogged before the Distributor below the Hopper...
You're not wrong there.
Let's talk about that kenworth hooklift in the back
Had the jump ramp right there. You could have sent it.
YEP!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for the giveaway haha. Make that happen please
You should buy a used greens aerator like the ryan lawnaire
Damn, I guess I haven't seen one of your vids lately, Kenny Powers.
That somebitch does WORK. I might get one for over-seeding. 😄
Yes it does
Is that the same model as Mr Knorr had or is better?
Where can you buy this in Australia and how much does it cost.
Any idea where to rent those?
I have been trying to rent one but they are never available
Also, watch out for the "Shear-Pins & Clips" as they tend to fall off/fail...
I’m trying to find where to rent one. Maybe just need to buy
Seems to be the story of all of us
Do you warn these guys about your shenanigans before hand, or just let them suffer in surprise 😂
Best First.
WE WANT TO RENT THIS! Seriously.
OK swing by
@@lawnrebel Curse you and your quick wit, Connor Ward!
What is the price tag on the 250? (current)
That will make spreading sand easier than spreading peanut butter on wonder bread. Please buy sand soon. 👍
We never got see this thing in actual action. We need an update next time you use it on your lawn!
Sure he did. He ran it and spread some topsoil.
I've got one for rent in San Antonio TX area for those interested.
I’m looking for a top dressing machine because it’s such a hard job manually but works so well
It really is such hard work
Get a peat moss spreader (roller)
Can I rent one in the UK 🇬🇧
The real question: is it JUICED enough to spread DIRTBOOSTER? If not, there’s a DOC you should call who can SUPER charge it.
They have ZERO top dressers for rent or sale around Greenville Sc. I’ve looked everywhere.
Florida first
Do you know if these are available as a rental (daily or weekend)
hard to say. I am sure there are in places. I am not sure where those folks might be. Depends on where you are at
