Apologies but I am always asking questions, I purchased a spreader the same as yours, I have got the strength of application from the instructions on your product but could you advise me how that relates to the numbering on the spreader ? you mentioned using 32 for seeding but is that similar for putting down my last application of Rise and shine ? Thanks
Look at desired application rate. Note the setting number. Put a clean tarpaulin/pvc sheet down. Apply it on the tarpaulin sheet over a set square area. Pour the seed from the sheet into a container and weigh it. Using basic maths work out how many grams per square metre on the sheet. Compare this to the desired rate ie 35g per sq metre . Then make any adjustment to the spreader number.

Daniel, can you answer a quick question if possible. Last year you were saying how great jacks magic was. I bought 12 60l bags and paid £6 a bag from a local nursery. Reading the comments on this video, you say that this years formula for jacks magic has changed and so is no longer any good for lawns! Do you know what exactly has changed , as the field 4 is well over twice the price? Really appreciate your answer please
It is twice the price but its peat free which is what everyone wanted as i got hounded to death for using peat based so i gave you peat free so blame the eco warriors, I was saying jacks was great 20 and 2021 but 2022 i said it had gone downhill and everyone for lawns was to stay away from the “new formula” obviously the peat content has been like more or less eradicated and they have replaced it with wood, stones, twigs someone said a a half a brick was in a bag so its prob ok for borders n pots but not lawns, i got two whitlows from the new formula at same time , if your into your lawns then price doesnt matter, its a hobby and people spend fortunes on hobbies plus its only dearer due to the haulage, every online distributor of garden products you have to pay the haulage cost from turf to gravel for eg
Love your work , in the lawn care game myself , but field no# 4 compost for 10 bags is currently £158 on their own website, then additional wetting agent needed , this isn’t a cheap job . Did you get a deal to promote this company? Using other materials for same results and almost less than half the cost . Being that’s it’s all about making money I wonder why you choose these products.
The customer gets the deal with 10% off , buy a pallet and the price will come down like i said to a guy yesterday the pallet price is the pallet price set by the hauliers weather you have1 bag on a pallet or 50 its the same cost as still takes up one pallet space on a wagon, if your in the game you can buy 50 at a time and use on gardens , but makes no difference to me if you buy or not thats not what its about, wetting agent optional not obligatory i just do best job i can, most of my followers watch as they want the best lawn and will invest just like golf enthusiasts do or footballers who want the best kit lawncare is a hobby like those
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert for free no but I try to get the best materials in bulk for the best price I can . I understand very much about parllet and full load prices . But still quite a pricey way to do even in bulk . But thanks for the sarky comment I’ll keep my opinion to myself from now on . Keep up good work .
Well ok for small areas and a pretty outdated procedure. Vertimowing is good, then I would hit it with enzymes to biodegradable all the organic matter, and reduce fungus and black layer. Compost on the lawn is not a good idea. You asking for hydrophobic conditions.
I really want some of that dressing but £126.70 for 5 bags delivered? Absolute rip off. It would be cheaper for me to go get some random compost, grade (sieve) it myself and throw the useless half away.
Its the haulage that costs the money weather it 5 or 50 bags still takes up one pallet on a wagon so its not their fault, so just think about that one before commenting , if you wanted fly tenerife with noone else on the plane it would cost you prob 30 grand but coz you fly with 200 other passengers it brings the price down for everyone,

It is twice the price but its peat free which is what everyone wanted as i got hounded to death for using peat based so i gave you peat free so blame the eco warriors,
I was saying jacks was great 20 and 2021 but 2022 i said it had gone downhill and everyone for lawns was to stay away from the “new formula” obviously the peat content has been like more or less eradicated and they have replaced it with wood, stones, twigs someone said a a half a brick was in a bag so its prob ok for borders n pots but not lawns, i got two whitlows from the new formula at same time , if your into your lawns then price doesnt matter, its a hobby and people spend fortunes on hobbies plus its only dearer due to the haulage, every online distributor of garden products you have to pay the haulage cost from turf to gravel for eg
The customer gets the deal with 10% off , buy a pallet and the price will come down like i said to a guy yesterday the pallet price is the pallet price set by the hauliers weather you have1 bag on a pallet or 50 its the same cost as still takes up one pallet space on a wagon, if your in the game you can buy 50 at a time and use on gardens , but makes no difference to me if you buy or not thats not what its about, wetting agent optional not obligatory i just do best job i can, most of my followers watch as they want the best lawn and will invest just like golf enthusiasts do or footballers who want the best kit lawncare is a hobby like those
Guessing you do all your gardens for free then? Very charitable of you
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert for free no but I try to get the best materials in bulk for the best price I can . I understand very much about parllet and full load prices . But still quite a pricey way to do even in bulk . But thanks for the sarky comment I’ll keep my opinion to myself from now on . Keep up good work .
Bloody hell that too dressing is a ridiculous price
You wanted peat free you got peat free now eat it!!
Do you recommend swardman manual hollow tine aerator?
I dont do aeration as you will know
Well ok for small areas and a pretty outdated procedure. Vertimowing is good, then I would hit it with enzymes to biodegradable all the organic matter, and reduce fungus and black layer.
Compost on the lawn is not a good idea. You asking for hydrophobic conditions.
"My sprayer will do 4 Liters per 100 square meters" Are you sure ?
Am i sure what?
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert 4Litres can cover 100 square meters. My lawn is 100sq meters but would need a lot more than 4 liters .
@@kenmay1572 yeah but mines a pro sprayer, i thought you was saying your sprayer did 4ltrs per 100m2
I really want some of that dressing but £126.70 for 5 bags delivered? Absolute rip off. It would be cheaper for me to go get some random compost, grade (sieve) it myself and throw the useless half away.
Its the haulage that costs the money weather it 5 or 50 bags still takes up one pallet on a wagon so its not their fault, so just think about that one before commenting , if you wanted fly tenerife with noone else on the plane it would cost you prob 30 grand but coz you fly with 200 other passengers it brings the price down for everyone,
Come and do my lawn your get about 6 months content on your channel 😂😂😂
Join the queue its about 15 yrs long
This guy must be loaded that had you looking after this patch of grass
Don't you use jacks magic no more.
No as i say in the vid and why
Don’t blow it to street. Bag it next time. Very unprofessional.
Are you watching the same video as I am? When did he do this?
