If you get a cylinder mower, depending on how much you cut, make sure you backlap it and keep the bed knife sharp. Baroness offer the best cylinder blades at the moment using Japanese steel 👌

Really appreciate all the detail you put in your videos, explaining everything in detail but not so complicated we can’t understand. You let us know having nice looking grass doesn’t need to be complicated, it just needs making some time and using the right products
My garden is looking so much better because of it
Yesterday, I scalped, scarified using a electric Cobra machine, levelled off some dips in the ground, seeded, top dressed using jacks magic, fertilised and watered
Hoping to have some good growth in the 2 weeks and then do this same process to help the grass really bed in

Makes a massive difference. Even if you put garden fleece on part of the new seed then move it to a different section. I've built scarecrows out and hung rubber ducks from the washing line - the birds don't care. Best solution is cover it up for 10-15 days

Cracking job. Love the garden. Nice gazebo, nice pleached trees and cracking Attenborough impersonation😊. Some advice if I may, 3 weeks ago I put down moss killer thinking I had a lot of moss but only a few black patches turned up, 1 week after that I put down some weed killer. Which then poured down 4hrs after applying but it actually seems to have had an effect. Now the question, I need to overseed but cannot for about 8 weeks due to the weed killer. Should I put down a soluble feed down until I can overseed or use a granular which lasts 3 months. Ooh, love the jacket!!
