Great video! Thanks for sharing your time and knowledge. My question is are you and your husband doing all of the social media, posting your work, etc yourselves or do you work with freelancers? Thanks and wishing you continued success.
🙏 thanks
I love your artwork 🤩
@@colourjunkie9934 all ourselves :) sorry i never got back with you!

INFORMATION doesn't start until 3 minutes in. THEN she says....Best Place to Sell you art is Social Media.
Actually your website, but close 😁
Thank God for this
Nice, I can skip this one then
Thank u for this
What a g
Really want to say I truly owe you one! Hand down the best video on how you broke it down on selling art on social media. I too am an artist and been having such difficulties on selling art. There’s honestly a couple of thing I finally understand on how selling your art in social media
So glad it could be helpful for you ❣️
This is true. All the original paintings I have sold have been through Facebook or instagram.
I appreciate your honesty about selling art/paintings is sporadic at best. Thank you.
Thank you for watching! 💗
I sell a ton on Twitter. Best form of marketing on that platform is giving away free print to a winner. They would retweet and comment. You can write off the giveaway as marketing
Wow so cool! I knew right when you started talking color by feliks had to be your husband. I’ve been watching him paint for years! Love his unique colors and blending. I can pick his work out anywhere! 😊 I’m excited to check out your channel 😊
I learned so much just reading comments and your answers . . . THANK YOU!
Glad it was helpful!
Can vouch for Etsy not working ... barely any sales in two years. Not that people on social media often ask to buy a painting but I feel it's still more personal. Hope to expand on there
Hi, I'm a beginner artist and I really enjoyed your video. I enjoy painting and learning about the business. Thanks for sharing ❤
Hi there, just wondering how you auctioned your artworks? Thank you.
Hi! We have used EBay and also have used an app that allows you to auction artwork through Shopify 😊
I've been painting my whole life. People always tell me how great my art is, but I've never sold a lot, mostly matted prints.. I'm on Face book, Instagram, You tube. & have made some videos of library exhibits. How do I get more people to see these sites?
Hei I have subscribed to your newsletter but I haven't gotten the ebook
Thank you, this is honest and truthful. I'm an upcoming Artist and this Video is so useful
Glad it was helpful! :)
4:30 following along your video with time stamps...you can build a platform all you want but you will have no control about if nobody comes to see what you post. And I mean you can have the best work nobody can come to see it. On Facebook it is like soft censorship. Same five people come over to see your post and nobody else. Nothing you can do except rotate the few people by friending and unfriending them. Instagram and RUclips is not much different. You can get no views. No subs. Week after week. Month after month and there is nothing you can do. It's like soft censorship where you are not completely censored but where a few people next to none see what you publish.
So many canvas' to choose from. If I am selling my work with high expectation, quality, and $, what canvas do you suggest?
I definitely want to learn. I have been on social media for so long and I haven't been selling 😢 my friends all think I surely sell a lot becaude they all like my art, and I do get nice comments, but barely ever do I actually sell. I need to learn how to do this all better...
What do you think your biggest struggle is? Send me your social media info and I’ll give you some feedback!
Could you post a link where you post on Facebook to get comments in a few minutes after posting??? I am in dozens of art groups on Facebook where nobody sells anything. Where did you post???
Social media is the worst place to start selling your work. If picasso was online starting out he would be invisible just like many great artists now. Social media turns many artists into algorythim slaves. If you wana sell, sell in person !
I'm ready to get started again after failing the first time. I have no idea how to market my art on social media. Can you please give me some tips?
Thanks

I’m glad to know this channel for selling arts!!!!
Hi Andrea, not sure if you’ll see this (hopefully)…I’m in the process of setting up a website to sell my art but I have no idea where and how to start the shipping side of things like how to set it up, which carrier to use, do I set up some sort of business account with the carrier like usps, how do I know how much to charge for shipping, etc. I always look forward to your videos since they are so helpful. If you have any videos about this, could you please direct me to them or please create a video about this 😊 I’m having a hard time trying to find helpful info about this part of the art business. Thank you so so much for all your help ♥️
Hi SJ! Thanks for your comment and support of my channel. I’ll definitely make a video about this topic for you ❤️
@@itsdreak Thank you so so much! I always appreciate all the valuable info you share!
did you ever figure out the shipping? USPS is slow and destructive. Everyone else is pricey.
I love seeing you guys being successful at this, it's so encouraging to me! :)
You are so kind! Thank you for being so supportive, glad it could also inspire you ❤️
Do you have a recommendation on where to auction art?
eBay or your own website to your own list of clients!
Great and inspiring commentary! I will go back and watch your videos on how to get started selling art as a beginner. I’m always shakey and a little unsure on how to properly report taxes etc..
You come across very realistic.I have very little computer skills.I can paint and want to get my work out there it is already but to friends and family (free)! Do you have any advise for a 53 year old school who would like to get started if so please advise when or if ypu want. Thanks Troy
Social media…you mean FB or Instragram? Are there other social media that I am not aware of? I like listening to your vlogs. I would like to start selling my acrylic paintings on line but I don’t know how to get started. I would appreciate your advise or suggestions. Thank you.
Thank you! There is also RUclips and TikTok 😊 I have a lot of videos talking about how to sell your artwork be sure to check them out
I really like the misty forest one.
My name is Domingo I have an old painting from 1978 is a 5’ x 4’ can you give me some advice on how to sell it
Hi Andrea! New artist here. Not quite ready to sell, but def interested in about a few months. Gathering info and really appreciate all your comments.
Hi, great video on selling art. My question is how does one sell on social media when one has no following/followers? Thanks in advance!
Hello I just saw your video. Im so glad your here. Im stuck and not sure where to go. I did a drawings-wolf pup. Graphite pencil. It 5.5x 8.5 size. If I sell the original one I cant sell any more right? Only the prints of it. Is the price difference for drawings and watercolors? Ill start with those questions. If you cant answer these questions can you direct me to where ever I could info for these askings. Thank you for your time
Good question! You can make similar drawings and sell those too as well as prints :) regarding the difference between watercolors and drawings - you really need to test this and see. Start with selling your drawing and see what you are able to get for it and then that will give you an idea of what is a reasonable amount you can charge for your work. Hope this could help!
Thank you so much for your time and thank you for your help I will try that. I will probably ask more if you dont mind. Hehe
I am am artist who has tried constantly in the passed 4 years to sell my work and take comissions Instagram. Hasn't worked out for me. I've only sold 3 paintings out of who knows how many. I keep making more because I like painting and have lots of ideas, but they keep piling up because they hardly sell. People aren't interested ENOUGH in my art to buy it, while I see other people with art similar to mine selling with no problem. I submit to local shows all the time, but no one seems interested in buying. I have thought of giving up many times and just look for a lame non art job. If anyone has any thoughts and advice, please let me know
I’m so sorry to hear that! If you’re open to it, let me know your social media account and I can give you some feedback for things you can improve to hopefully sell better 👍🏼
I would like to know how what is your recommendation to ship worldwide? should I tell the customers the extra fee for shipping? I think world wide would be expensive. Heres a new subscriber!
Hope you still See this:
Im an Artist and have Been doing Art for over 10 years now. So I have build a Lot of Skill but I do Not have an active follower Base.
I want to sell a painting without having to under price my Art but am Sure No one is going to buy it If the price is high because im Not "known"
Any Tips/solutions?
3:40 what if people don't respond to the artist? The artist responds and then the artist gets ghosted. How is communication supposed to work if this happens?
Hi Andrea, thank you for the guidance, my question is: example if you use facebook, when posting your artwork; only your contacts will view your art (like family). How am I going to get the correct audience or viewers?
Have you tried fb page? I paid fb to boost my ad.. n choose the age group the country i want to promote..n dont forget to link your insta page with ur fb page
Im interested in starting to sell my watercolor art onlin. my husband says i should not sell originals but making prints can be time consuming as i dont have a color printer. What is your opinion?
Also, what is my very first step to take to sell on SM?

Thanks so much. That was really helpful.
So glad it could help you! Thanks for watching ♥️
The video posted did not offer information about the places to sell art currently. While it was interesting the comments indicate that we all are seeking ways to successfully sell artwork online.
The key is to share your art on social media, create an email list with your most engaged followers, and sell your art to them. That is exactly what I share in the video 😊
I am having trouble reading the names of artists on some painting that I have, is there an app I can use for that?
Thanks 👍 Andrea! I like the ideas, really great!
Glad you could enjoy this and that it was helpful ❤️🙏🏼
Hi, you talk of facebook, but what other social media platforms....and do you have to have a license to sell your art?
Thank you so much for this informative video. I just got started with opening up my shop on social media!
That is so exciting!! Thank you for watching ❤️
This is now 2023. Right now there aren't going to be people who support you who love your art except maybe for the few artists that have their work outside of social media. Right now for the peanuts amount of people that will see your art you will either have people totally ignore your posts like they're not there or worse they will judge you if you are not some scammer because you want to sell what you create. They will be judgemental. None trusting. A nightmare type of audience who are not customers that an artist would not want to or should not want to encounter.
Thank you, dear.
This doesn't really help as Iv tried making sales on social media but I find it's next to impossible unless cold calling people. I'm relying on my art please help?
What do you mean by cold calling? How long have you been posting on SM?
Is it through marketplace Facebook or video
FB videos 😃
Glad I found you!
Thanks really appreciate it
Glad it could help ❤️
I believe all of your words are true.
Thank you for watching :)
I like your husbands work- do you have a web site so that I can see more of his work? or his full name so I can google him?
Yes felikskfineart.com 🙌
thanks
When I am doing free trial it's not working
How do you find your audience?
By putting out interesting/valuable content that will attract them…usually your audience is looking for similar answers to questions that you had 5 years ago about whatever subject you’re knowledgeable in
WoW….Color by Felix…that, explained why he,sold that abstract for 2,200 bucks…he,has,a,following and is well known. Other wise if not for that it,would be 50 bucks…! Felix is just an excellent artist😊
That is the importance of building an audience 😊 it’s easier said than done though! Thank you
I am watching from Nepal. I liked it. Thank you.
Tyfs!😁💯👏🏾❤ CONGRATULATIONS BEAUTIFUL ART!
Thank you for watching!! I’m glad it could help ❤️❤️
7:40 following the video with timestamps...having the art in one location and having it on social media, theoretically this should be correct. But do you know that artists are on social media and nobody goes to see their work??? There are a few artists whose work does get seen, but many artists post work and it does not get seen, heard or, liked, commented. Nothing. And this becomes a viscious cycle where because nobody cares about the post the platform doesn't show anyone the post. If you try paid advertising it gets mistargeted. It goes totally to the wrong audience. To wrong countries. Wrong geographical areas. If you try to select your audience your work is sent to very few people for the money paid or it does not get sent to the right people at all.
Hi Andrea, thanks again for the great info and inspiration! In my social media, I keep posting in each post/reel to DM if interested in purchasing but nothing. Do you think the number of posts and number of followers affect the sales or notice sales started coming for Feliks that way? Thank you!!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad you could enjoy ❤️ you're off to a great start! Don't give up, keep creating and putting yourself out there and I would post as a comment on your own post "This painting is available for purchase, DM me for all inquires" something like that. If you're writing something in the caption already that part might not be as visible, so putting in a comment can help. Something very important: when just starting out it's easy to get discouraged if you don't get sales right away but focus first on creating a series of work, building relationship with your audience, putting your work out in a creative way, and showing up consistently. This will help attract your collectors to you and from there you can focus on getting more sales.
It's not about how many people follow or how many posts you put out, by that I mean there's no certain number. All that matters is that the right person comes along and connects with the art you're putting out. Of course, the more you put out, the higher the chances of that are - I'd also recommend trying to post on other platforms and experiment with that.
@@itsdreak you’re the best! Thank you and congratulations on the new sale! That’s one of my favorite pieces by Feliks 👏👏👏
Thanks so much! Very kind of you 😊
@@itsdreak Omg, I just saw your first response. Thank you so so much for your words of motivation and for especially taking the time to write back and you’re absolutely right, It helps being passionate about art because you know no matter what, you won’t stop creating and sharing it with the world ☺️♥️
I believe you are right!
Good info but worth looking into shorter videos eg. 1-2 mins for this topic. Thanks again
Wow great info…appreciate it
Thank you for sharing this awesome video 👍. You earned a subscriber . Thank you I appreciate your honest information.

Hi,
Do you post your originals , let’s say, on Facebook by your personal profile or you promote it on other fb groups meant for selling art?
P.s. I love your content and paintings. I always follow them.
Thank you Andrea! I'm still watching the video, but I wanted to ask what you think about having different styles of paintings in connexion with selling art. Some artists recommend focusing on one style to create a niche /be recognisable. In my case, perhaps because I'm still exploring or because I need variety a lot, I produce very different styles. I'm still in the processing of figuring out the best way to sell. So I'd welcome your feedback very much! Thanks a million and much love! 😄🤗💜🙏
Hi there and thanks so much for watching! :) I think that having a style or being recognizable was once something that people said you "had to do" in order to be successful as an artist but what Feliks and I have realized now with social media is that that is really not the case anymore. We have sold both abstract and landscape pieces and Feliks feels like he still hasn't found his style yet. I recommend exploring and not being afraid to try different things because you never know what you'll enjoy most and also what your collectors will enjoy. It's a process - enjoy it and keep going ❤️
I had a similar question as to art style … I notice that many artists I follow create one thing … if it’s goddess art they do only goddesses and I like to paint a variety of subjects such as pets, goddess, cowgirls and other things so I group them in collections. Could my variety of subjects be a negative in my Etsy boutique? Should I keep it to one subject? What are your thoughts on this please and thank you so much for the great content.
@@itsdreak thank you Andrea! It really helps hearing that variety is working for you! I totally feel like exploring more 😉, so this is great validation! 😘💜
I can’t watch it
That's only one painting though
Ppl more interested to buy my paintings as nft... i hv no trust in nft.
Thanks for this video! I am an older artist, with only 31 people on my facebook and a very limited instagram page. I have struggled with thinking that my art must not be very good and that's why it doesn't sell more steadily, but I think, after listening to you, that it's more that I just don't have it out there in the right places. I almost gave up! I got to thinking that it can't be the quality of my paintings, because people love them when they buy them. Like, really love them, whether they know me as a friend or family member, or not. So, I'm going to try longer. What about EBay? What do you think of that avenue for selling? Apparently they now have the option for local people to pick up on location, so that I don't need to mail my work out.
Yes, exactly! It's not necessarily about your artwork it is about who is seeing it. I highly suggest continuing to share your work on whatever platform you enjoy most and eventually your audience will continue to grow and grow and you'll get more customers. I wouldn't suggest Ebay, I would focus on growing your social media channels around your art and sell that way. Ebay won't do you much good unless you have an audience you can direct there already, plus they charge high fees.
How do you how do you deliver the painting to the customer and they buy the painting? 😊
Thank you so much
Please upload more informative videos about painting 🎨 & art.
Ok I will ❤️ any topics specifically you’d like to learn more about?
I'm art i do need it that help how I can sale my art the rigth way thank you so much for u video 🎨
So if u have RANDOM sales then u are not really knowleadgeable on how to get buyers specifically for artwork. Why would i want to follow somone that says she sells randomly? 🤔 Not great marketing of yourself right there.....
Hi Milena 😊 I’m not trying to market myself, just explaining how we make a full time income from art and how other artists can do the same. All art sales are sporadic and never guaranteed, however having a list of collectors and being able to stay in communication is key to making more sales. I also always suggest artists have multiple income streams to balance out the months they are making less sales and that’s what I talk about in all my videos …hope this helps
@itsdreak i meant not great marketing of yourself for your yt channel tutorials.... If u say that u randomly sell art but then make titorials on how to sell art. Its contradicting. Thats what i meant....
Have u heard or ArtStorefronts? They market artwork specifically and their clients have very predictable income and many are making a LOT of money. The market u, and they provide u with a professional art specific website.
Nice information

I absolutely dislike these AI generated videos. There are so many cuts bc of the horrible lip movements. As a content creator you should engage with your audience. Nothing is more disengaged than using ai to talk to them.
This isn’t AI lol 😂 it is me talking I just had to do a voiceover because my sound was messed up in the beginning and wasn’t able to fix it
@@itsdreak Thank you for the clarification and adding a note to the video. It helps! I see your other videos are of you talking. There are just way too many AI videos with horrible mouth syncing and deep fakes out there.
Ugh
Hi, great video on selling art. My question is how does one sell on social media when one has no following/followers? Thanks in advance!
If you don’t have followers I would spend the next 6 months only working on growing your follower base before trying to make sales
