I really loved and enjoyed watching this video of yours thank you so much for sharing this video with us all I too am thinking of selling my art online but the problem is the website which I don't have.
Thank you.. very sweet of you to spread this kind of positivity in this world.. you have commented this two months ago but today 20/4/23 chick peeking into the video I saw your comment.. wishing you all best in your life. ❤
Hi Ashleigh… I’m Dharani an acrylic artist….I have always wanted to start a RUclips channel… but I wasn’t sure if it will work…you were my inspiration for starting this channel….I now do RUclips works after my college hours….thanks a ton bro🎉keep inspiring so many people…
This made me a little emotional because I've only sold two paintings, and when I sent them out, my note read the exact same thing that you wrote. I hope to experience this again soon :)
I use to watch your videos and now I’m watching this. I took notes while watching this video and this serves as good foundation of how to professionally sell art online creating your own online art shop using Squarespace over Etsy because it’s more personalized to your liking. All I need is art skills, photo printer and photo paper, and paper cutter, and packaging supplies. And I’ve always want to write thank you notes to customers because when I set up my shop I want to give them good customer service.
This was incredibly done. The editing camera shots, everything. The turning off the lamp with the candles still burning at your desk blowing out the candle was very clever filmwork. Thank 🧒 you.
first and foremost you are absoueltly stunning! The time and effort and beauty that you put in to this video really shows. Thank you so much for taking us on this special journey with you and congratulations!
It's amazing, I also dreamed of having a small art shop like this. But I am not capable, my painting skills are not good either. I always look at your works, take it as my inspiration.
I have this same thought process and recently talked about it in a recent vlog.. we have to let go of the negative talk and stop making excuses. I hope you start and keep going 💛
please make a detailed video on how you created your shop from scratch and also presentation.. how to print and how to package.. everything everyone is sooo interested.. 💜💜💜
Congratulations Ashleigh! It's really great to finally open your art shop. I'm sure you're very proud on venturing on something that you're really passionate about. This also gives an inspiration to all aspiring artist to never stop chasing their dreams. More power & God bless as always🙏😊
Thank you Ashleigh I have thought about doing this, but I stumbled by my paintings looking a bit flat! But now realise the paintings are edited before production to brighten them in areas and getting rid of any blemishes. thank you
Thanks, Ashleigh. This is great. It's really nice to see someone set up their first shop from scratch with all the details like you did. I've been considering the Epson XP-970 as well. I hope you're liking it.
Love that you send everything with heartfelt meaning. I would suggest though not to use the twine for the simple reason that during transit something heavy maybe laid on top of your envelope and the twine knots will leave a dent in your prints. I use to do custom print framing and I’ve seen many prints damaged even in the most protective way for shipping. Keep up the wonderful work!
You're so hardworking, it's honestly so inspiring. This was a great help. Congratulations on the new online shop! 😊 Also, that paper cutter was so satisfying lol
thank you for this one! ❤️😌 i feel so inspired to continue my art journey since i started watching your vlog. i aspire to learn oil painting too when i have the space and enough money to buy the tools i need. for now i tried digital painting and is very flexible so im planning to sell art too. i thought that i can only monetize my skills by doing commission works (which i dont always enjoy) so watching your vlog makes me feel confident that i can do the same, i can make my own art and people would still enjoy it. so grateful you were recommended to me one day and ever since, i couldn't miss any of your upload. ❤️
I also had a dream of living my life as an artist.. unfortunately for various reasons I couldn't become one.. watching your video reminded me of all the beautiful dreams I once had :) love your art.. keep going Ashleigh 💕
I'm actually at this moment in my art business, as well, so your timing is perfect, Ashleigh! Right when I needed this exact information and was wondering where to find all the answers, if they were available in one convenient place. Thank you so much for this video. Wishing you much success and joy.
Just saw a tip on Easy Sunday Club’s printing video…they take full advantage of expensive paper by laying out biz cards in the white space (like in the margin of your 5 by 7’s) so they never have to get biz cards printed-I thought that was genius!
I have the same printer and I love it. I am in the process of making the art still to launch on my shop. Mostly I illustrate than paint but I would love to paint more. I haven’t really got to grips with vlogging as much and hope to more, I made my first video on RUclips a few months ago but I really need to create more
I love the production value of your videos. It is what I am aiming for in mine. I am also considering an online store to sell prints and originals so your tip on picking a few not all of your paintings was very helpful. Thank you.
Omg! Ashley! This is so great and awesome! I usually watch your videos on the Tv, bigger screen, better view, the I go to my iPad to watch it again and post a comment. This is so helpful and full of inspiration! Thanks so much for sharing the details, such a great help seeing you working so hard and meticulous for better results. Cheers sweet lady! A million hugs! Just remember, one day at a time! You are truly a model of inspiration, hard work, honesty, humble human being! Just amazing! I will watch the video again and get the links for the shopping. I’m short for words to tell you thank you! I needed this push. Much love and success! Blessings and take care. CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE THE BEST!
I sincerely appreciate your encouragement Crisalida! I’m wishing you all the best with your shop! You can do it 😊 it’s a lot of work but so worth it! Much love ❤️
Di the paper on which you have printed your painting looks so thick as compare to normal paper of printer so is it any different kind of paper id yes then what we call it ? I want to buy some please tell
Just purchased a print after watching this video! Very inspirational!!! I love your videos, so calmly to watch as well as helpful!! Thank you for all the tips.
Whenever I watch anyone visiting a craft supply store, I always feel my jaw drop. I live in Cyprus, and the majority of craft supplies stores other than for paper or paint ,have a very generic and a rather limited selection of goods.i feel very envious. Your artwork is stunning! I hope it all sells like hot cakes! Xx
Wishing you much success with your website. You are a sweet , beautiful soul and very talented. My cousin sent me this video because I am an artist that has dreamt of doing this Ashleigh, life got in the way long story. I am now 70 and and my sweet cousin knows of my dream. God Bless You , sending you love and prayers for continued success and goals met. ❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I'm just starting, building my current skills, but also watching videos like this for research. I do calligraphy. I just did a piece for a friend, 18" x 24". Most of what I plan will be smaller. Very inspirational, Ashleigh. Thank you for sharing these steps. I was planing, also, to use print in demand, but maybe that should wait until I can't keep up with demand. Something to think about.
M not related with any artistic work... But your detail work inspired us alot in many other fields. And we can see, you are enjoying with your art works. Good luck cute girl...
I really loved this video, thank you so much. While I'm not making visual art, (music for me), I really appreciated how simple you made this feel and how creative and fun it felt, like I could do this myself. I'd really love to see other videos talking about how you built up your audience this would be really useful. Thank you!
I also have a shop with my own made products, so much fun to watch yours. It made me realise how many different skills we use and have learned on the way! Side note: doesn’t the cord make a dent in your prints? I wouldn’t use the cord because I’m afraid it will press into the prints!
Hi Ashley!! How exciting! Congrats to you, well done!! I have a question for your Q&A video…. Can you tell us a bit more about the scanning/ making a template in Photoshop/printing bit of the process? I don’t feel very confident in that area at all. Thank you and best wishes x Oh and afterthought 😅 how do you keep track of sales/profit for your taxes?
Your videos are like warm hugs and also, love how you share tiny details of the process. My question is, what if one does not have a huge audience but still wishes to sell their work. What according to you are the best marketing practices in this case? Thank you :)
Aw I appreciate your kind comments! I would say to use a platform like Etsy. They already have customers looking for art/prints. With some marketing or advertising your products could be shown to the buyers there without having to have an audience. Wishing you the best :)
i really love watching your channel maam. hope you can also have a tuitorial about editing your painting on photoshop i wanna leaen how you measure and put some lines like a ruler on your photoshop before printing it

Parabéns, Ash!!! Seus vídeos me proporcionaram mt alegria. Foram de inspiração. O primeiro dia que encontrei seu canal, me inscrevi na hora. Suas artes são radiantes!!! Sucesso na sua loja online!!!! Te amo!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thanks , Ashleigh, for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with other potential artists 🤗👍🏼. You have great eye for detail 👍🏼. I wish you all the best 😊.
Great video, thanks for sharing! I have a question about the Epson printer: are you satisfied with the scanning quality? I read a lot of people using this model to print their art but most of them use a separate scanner. Also, I am not sure if I understood correctly when you talk about scanning larger formats: do you mean format that exceed A3 and need to be scanned partially and stitched afterwards, or do you take several scans and overlay them to increase quality (not sure if that makes any sense 😄)?
Thanks for taking us through this part of ur journey!! As always it’s a pleasure watching ur videos, so aesthetically informative! Would like to know which paper to select to have the prints done , if u could shed some light on this, it would help!!
Would you be able to talk about the business side of starting an online shop? Like taxes, checking for expenses, and do you separate this all from your own personal bank accounts (like a separate business account?) this was a great video! Thank you for sharing :)
great art and video! the twine seems like it could press on the art. seems like its better to just keep it completely flat. othrwise, nice touches all around. I'm also curious how far the printer ink will go? Please update us when you have to get more ink.
Not gonna lie your art prints are well crafted with craftsman ship, and I am new subscriber I’m looking for people who does oil painter and I’m so glad I found out about you. I never worked before and this is perfect for me as an introvert. I’m interested in working for myself and becoming my own boss.
Wow this is I wanted to make website and sale the arts work. Can I ask what kind the paper yoi use to print and the machine you used to print . Thank you so much.
This is sooooo inspiringg, i want to start my own shop too but i dont really have much art to sell, only paintings from my A level portfolios. I plan on working on this this summer, thanks for the motivation!!
Thanks so much for sharing! I am curious and want to ask if all your paintings are completely original? And what papers would you recommend to use for practice paintings?
Oh my gosh, this is such an informative video! Thank you for sharing. Can you explain how you go from an original painting on canvas to a print. Are you taking photos of your paintings and then uploading them on photoshop? If so, are you using an iPhone for photo taking and a white box? Thank you ❤
Great video! I was thinking alot about making a website for my prints and originals as well not too long ago, but I quickly dropped the idea since it required alot of time and preparation that I can't invest at the moment. Watching you go and explain the process makes me want to pursue that path too :)
Thank you Ashleigh for the great video. I checked out your shop and it looks good! Can you tell me what kind of 'rigid mailers' you use for the original paintings? I want to get back into selling my art and need to learn more about what's out there now. Thanks!
Hey! I am going to start my own shop soon so this information is so helpful. Do you ever sell prints of the original as well as the original itself? I'm unsure about how people feel about that! Any advice is appreciated :)
🌟 My store will open Thursday 8/25 at 9am EST! 🌟
