As a film student and enthusiast, I have to say this makes me almost emotional. Beautiful camera work, perfect soundtrack and even better content. I don’t have words to describe my feelings properly, but this is one of the most stunning RUclips videos I’ve ever watched. Incredible!
i'm literally so IN LOVE. i've always wanted to live a pure life. just nature, art and me. and i can say that this video right here is what i want. this is impossible to explain, but i'm feeling happy.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Jesus was crucified, buried and then rose again on the third day. Believe in Him and you will have eternal life. Repent (turn away from your sins). Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly, follow Him He is the Light of the world.
I literally painted myself into a depression the other day because I'd become so focused on perfection thinking about seeing my piece in someone's home or sitting on someone's desk. I haven't painted since because it makes me anxious when I look at my supplies. But when you said how important it was the enjoy the process, it was so healing to me. Honestly, the entired video has been very healing for me.... Thank you.
A Gift has to be enjoy..is a gift from heaven and has a process..the final result will bring you joy...and those that see your creations..in art..blessings
i've seen people give money for the ugliest art pieces.. but that just makes me remember how subjective art is and even if we as perfectionists don't love our own art all the time, it might still be the most beautiful thing to someone else... the most important thing really should be about simply enjoying the process
I love art, I remember back when I am still a student I do sketching and paintings. It really calms and explores my imagination. Watching your video give me encouragement to paint again. I like the ambience and your paintings. Thanks
That is so beautiful what you said . I am 62 years old and never believed in my gift of design as I am ,now at the so called twilight years I see the foolishness those wastefulness years caused me . But how is a new day . Design is meant to express emotions . I was living in fear . She is a true gift to me and as I may say so many others. I did not mean to go on and on . But what you stated was again so beautiful. Take care.
Love your attitude. Covid has taught us to learn how to be alone and the trick is to not BE LONELY. I too like to paint, sew, make jewelry, craft... there are so many things in life we can do on our own - it's very fulfilling to watch your videos! Thank You!
I like this new style of art vlogging that includes voiceover with self reflection, both art related thoughts and personal thoughts. I admire how considerate you are to take the extra effort to complete the frame at your school instead of creating extra noise at home. I am sure others have not been as considerate to you but it really speaks to the level of your character to be considerate regardless.
I'd been anxious about living on my own and this helped me see the bright side, of how it can make me actually feel better, happier and allow to accomplish more, be more focused. Thank you!
I started my art journey last month, complete new to drawing and painting, last week i started my first painting (Copy of Otto Mueller, Liebespaar) and yesterday me and my girlfriend seperated. Your Video is giving me hope that i can heal and that i can take this event to dive further into art and into myself. Thanks for the Video.
Copying Art is a great way to practice! Enjoy your art journey and this new chapter of your life, I know it can be hard but I’m sure you will grow and learn so much about yourself 💝
I'm always so much in love with how these Art vlogs are composed and play out. You're 100% right with calling them cozy, they're relaxing, but also give me so much motivation and inspiration to start my art journey up again and get out of blocks all the time. Thank you Valerie for always making these :)
Oh I must thank you guys, all this positive feedback gives me so much energy to make more videos! So thank you and glad they help you to get out of your blocks! 🙏🏼
this video was recommended to me and I am so thankful that it was! I’ve been struggling with loneliness, and I’ve lost my passion for creating art just for myself, which used to be my favorite cure for loneliness. I found myself crying as you painted, and I realized that I deserve to make art again. I’m rambling, but basically I just wanted to say thank you. your work, both this video and the painting, is sensational. I think my soul needed to see this video to realize what I’ve been missing for so long. 💕
You’re not alone honey, I feel the same. My passion for creating art just vanished away, I’ve been dealing with loneliness too for the past 4-5 months and my complete desire of panting went off. But as she mentioned, I’m also working on my painting, a big one and it’s interesting to my surprise!!!
This video came upon me by accident but I think it was purely intentional in a divine sense. I know I can't be the only one out in this world dealing with anxiety and depression all the while trying to find my purpose in life again and to live happy. The part about enjoying the process has been hard for me with anxiety and I just want the end result but I know the work has to be done to get there. This was really inspirational for me and I will try to enjoy just doing what I like to do instead of rushing to the end. I've found already my process is messy and not what I envisioned. Thank you.
I'm not an 'art' sort of person nor do I know anything about art but watching this vlog, literally just hearing u talk about everything (even stuff I didn't know about) felt so soo relaxing and therapeutic in the most amazing way. I've been studying for too long and I've also gotten myself into insomnia but I can't explain in words how much this helped me. THANK YOU!
You really make me feel like taking out my brushes, pencils, oils and canvas out of my old wardrobe. I literally need to fall in love with my passion for art again, and you are such a source of inspiration...thank you.
Watching you was therapeutic. I have long since stopped canvas painting as I have 6 kids now. I slowly picked up watercolors again as I decided to teach my children to paint. It has been a way to connect with them and myself again. I love art!
I found so much love being alone. Of course, It took long years for me to be able to go through the depression haze and find myself, but I feel as though I finally did. I'm not afraid of people anymore, I love spending time with my cats, with my mom, even with my dad. Studying is something that gives me joy because it makes me remember how hard I tried to be able to be here studying what I love, and I feel grateful for myself. It isn't easier than before, but it definitely hurts less. For the first time in my life, I have happiness in peace, I'm fine.
I like that at the same time you show beautiful parts of your day and life, you also show us that life may not always be like that. That there is beauty, but there must be also care. Thank you, we need this.
finally decided to watch this video in my recommended! I am so happy i did. I spend alot of my time at home and i'm generally pretty lonely. I've just recently started to learn watercoloring through the internet and my days are just like yours, I feel bad for not meeting anyone or getting out there and sometimes i feel like i'm missing out on everything and everyone because i live my life this way but the peace and satisfaction i find within painting makes up for everything. You are really talended and an inspiration! Thanks for this beautiful video
I honestly thought this might've been an over romanticization of living alone, that may have disregarded and invalidated the negatives of being lonely, but this video was much better than that, and I really appreciate that
i have been dealing with anxiety for years now and I only found out in the pandemic with how bad it was. and I have been praying to god for a sign because I have been feeling so lost again. and then I found this video and I think this is it. a reminder to myself to just be true to myself and enjoy the process of being myself. i didn't have to be anyone else but myself. and I think this message is often told to us but actually seeing it in someone else is beautiful. thank you valerie lin.
As a beginner writer, I recently found myself tired and uninspired. I randomly began watching your videos since RUclips recommended one of your videos to me. My motivation boosted up, and besides that, you also make me feel so cozy with your videos and your presence itself! Keep safe, and not forget to give yourself a break from time to time, gorgeous artist! - Love from Brazil
I have had a love affair with youtube for like a decade now and it is very rare that I feel the need to comment on videos but I wanted to from the very depths of my heart thank you for this video. I have been going through a period where the world feels overwhelming and confusing and in hopes of finding refuge, I've begun to allow myself to lean into my passion for art. I randomly stumbled upon your video and I am so glad that I did. Your energy was so healing in making me feel understood and seen, the advice was so fitting, the music, the colors, everything! Thank you SO much for your vulnerability and authenticity and I hope you know you really shifted my energy today! It was like a perfect hug for my soul.
Valerie this was the PURE SHOT OF SEROTONIN that I needed! Your videos are so soothing to watch and I aspire to make such beautiful content someday. I love the multiple angle shots, your whole inspiring set up, how much light you have in your studio, your clothing style and more than anything the way you express yourself and the inspirational words you share. Keep up the wonderful work. I can’t wait for more content 💓
yeah it is this that makes the difference between a real artist and a painter who learnt to paint just to make money, you have the kind of spirit that an artist should have and you are completely connected to your inner world which is reflected on your art you are the real artist
You are so graceful, when you paint it reminds me of when someone is playing piano or orchestrating a concert, it's like you have a rhythm to it and are dancing with the brushes. Your videos are so beautiful and bring me so much joy and inspiration!
I have been looking for references to explain to my students some things about art, that they do not get discouraged or give up their projects. This is a great example and I congratulate you for sharing it. Thank you!
i'm so grateful i found your video today. i've recently felt a calling to be a full time artist, and seeing this placated all the anxieties i have around that decision. thank you for the reminder that making art can be a peaceful and intentional process. your choice to represent intuitive art creation is so appreciated.
For someone who spend much time alone this video was so inspirational to see, the way you spent your time doing what you love it has inspired me to paint I love what you can learn from painting thank you
It felt like I was meditating for 15 minutes. This video made me emotional and I learned so many things from this video. Loneliness is not empty. It is full of ANSWERS
I love your videos Valerie. When I am stressed I’ll watch your video’s they are so relaxing. I agree with what everyone says in the comments below. You’re better than a therapist. I don’t have friends who are artistic or that I can go shopping with but you showed in this video that you can do it all on your own, thank you. Visiting you is like visiting a friend and going shopping for the house and art equipment, everything I love doing.
This is the most uncomfortable I've been watching a video on art in a while. Because what was said was so true and pointed directly to some problems that I've been having myself. I've been creating for the wrong reasons. I've been looking a ton to others instead of creating. I've been doing literally anything but making art and then kicking myself because my "goals" aren't being met. The sight of seeing others do well is such a distraction to my own growth and it was hard hearing the beginning of this video and kind of having my own issues mirrored in someone else. Your work is beautiful and I look forward to watching more of your videos. I've got...a lot of thinking to do after this.
I really really admire the care you put into everything you do. Your videos are thoughtful and beautiful, your paintings are emotional and feel so authentic. I am loving your channel!!
Truly needed a video like this today. I spent a lot of time with someone this week and I needed a break. Unfortunately, I have to study for my exams but this video gave me so much inspo, I wish I had my tools and sketchbook to create things, to be in touch with my inner child a little while. Thanks for creating this content and warming up our souls 💕
l literally painted myself into a depression the other day because l'd become so focused on perfection thinking about seeing my piece in someone's home or sitting on someone's desk. l haven't painted since because it makes me anxious when l look at my supplies. this was so healing ! thank you. I struggle with being lonely all the time. I am a beginner at painting. I am done with my studies and due to covid, I stay at home with large periods of "nothing to do" so I started to paint. I am really a baby at this stage. Thank you for documenting this. It makes me so inspired and less alone. Looking forward to your channel.
First of all, the way you handle the art supplies so gently is so touching. I can see your love and passion for art at just how you handle and talk about your paintings. It is very inspiring! ❤
Loved this video, was having a bit of FOMO, this video made me feel some comfort. I took 2 weeks off from work for this upcoming Friday, and wanted to get back to painting. I haven't painted in 8-9 years and I have been having this urge to go back to it and this video just made me decide, thank you for this beautiful energy!
Valerie, your videos always make me so peaceful and happy. I always watch them when I'm taking a break from studying and instead of making me feel drained like I usually feel after watching youtube, they make me feel motivated and ready to start again. I also just love listening to you talk, it's very relaxing
So timely for me . . . I’ve been struggling with the feeling of loneliness. Yet I am an artist who has longed for time alone. This was incredibly helpful. Thank you for opening your creative process to others.
this video was recommended to me and it was like a gift. it also felt like a friend comforting through this strange times. im kinda of spiraling through many decisions in life and your video reminded me to enjoy, take my time and patience! and i was trying to get the courage to paint a canvas, but felt like it was impossible. by now i may just do it cause i feel inspired and your painting is beautiful! thank you
Beautiful painting!! I prefer to paint alone, and to shop alone. One can learn to really enjoy one's own company. Our body is our home on earth. Taking deep breaths helps us relax while we create.
Is it weird that i cried watching this :”) , i love creating so much and seeing someone else create brings me so much joy seeing another artists love for ART. I love your videos so much and the painting is so beautiful!! You inspired me. And i think I’m gonna get back into oil again I enjoyed the forest bit and how you stood under the rain 🥺
I never rewatch vlogs WOW, your amazing everything. Your love for art how it reflects in the videos YOUR ART the music the way you film, your editing PERFECTION The advice you give the things you talk about your videos from the beginning to end *chefs kiss* 😭💕
Thank you Mei! The rain surprised me so much. It came out of the nothing and it was gone after 2 minutes haha. And oh my thank you for rewatching, that‘s a big compliment and I appreciate all your lovely words! 💕
@@mei295 Indeed, she's one of a kind. My brother is a painter too and will share this video to him. My elder son likes to draw and started painting before. But these time, it seems he's not having any motivation with his art work. Hopefully this vlog will inspire him as well :)
I watched my first Valerie video this morning. It came to me by some miracle Oh so beautiful and sooo motivating. And hey presto here I am this afternoon after a long "walk in the desert" creation wide , (tho have been singing with my guitar daily as I find it therapeutic and calming). I'm overjoyed I've just finished a floral painting I started in one of the lockdowns and Ive just finished it. I am blown away. You have motivated me to begin painting again.. Thank you a million times. You are a true artist and a beautiful soul.
I’m a watercolor artist living in Florida. I follow your channel, and enjoy your work. Your are still young enough to make your life whatever you want. Fill it with beautiful memories.
Miss Valerie, you speak to my soul 😭 I need to be more brave and patient about art. I hope I can achieve this in time. Thank you for the inspire you gave 😘 now I'm going to drawing 😂
I wish every people who are searching for peace and appreciate beauty of art can see this, it's a escape from boring and dull life and you might find something which connects you to your interest or maybe you find your way back to your passionate but peaceful life. Thank you for this amazing content the music, the scenery and your painting is incredible. 😇🥰❤️
I was wondering when you would post another video and was lucky enough to find that you did today. Your videos motivate me to a great level, keep creating. Your paintings are so beautiful too 😍. Thank you for the inspirations.
I love how you don't sugar-coat anything that takes time to accept ty valerie 💖 Also your painting took my breath away ! Can only imagine how magnificent it'd be irl 💌
I just this morning happened on to your site and I have been enjoying myself sooo much. I love the combination of sharing your thoughts and feelings along with watching your amazing painting talent. At 74 I wish I had had your beautiful insight and strength of character. You have encouraged me to get back to painting again. God bless you💕
hehe you can find a few of them in my oldest posts on my Instagram feed. Those Sargent Masterstudies for example. Had also a lot of pencil drawings. Mostly figurative. Let me see if I can show them in a video
This is just a fantastic video. I love the video style, great dialogue/narrating, and really appropriate choice of music that satisfyingly matched the atmosphere of the video. And all of that being said great job putting in the real work putting that painting together and it came out beautifully. Will bring peace to anyone who sees it for sure. Videos like this remind me how under appreciated all projects are by people who don't create themselves- as in people don't realize it takes one entire day just to gesso properly, several days of prep, shopping, painting, plotting etc. Also as a last note- my eyes were thrilled at your choice and placement of the gold- it makes it feel like the calm and beauty of the subject matter is highly valued
Watching this to start my day in 2023, no better to start to the new year. This is exactly what I needed in my life. Very inspiring and just calming to the soul. Thank you 💖
Whatever u spoke, I can relate to it. Being quiet is often taken as being introvert...introvert word is often used in a negative way. So, I liked what you said. Your work is equally good.
you are a TRUE artist..the painting of course but your words, the music and the videography. just everything about this was beautiful and it even made me feel so good to watch it! 💚
As I was watching this video I was absolutely mesmerized by you going to an art store. I love painting, and going to purchase new brushes and paint is SO exciting to me!
Your video is so cinematic! I love your editing and music, but more importantly is your great message! Thank you for sharing with us! Keep up the great work!
Really needed this. Haven’t been writing poetry or painting as passionately as I used to before. Every time I attempt to write or paint it would feel forced. Always focusing on the finished product rather than the process. Beautiful video. Thanks ❤️
Hi Valerie, I loved this tutorial! Not only you are an excellent artist, you can put together your canvas from scratch. Listening to your soft voice telling us how you go shopping on your own makes so much sense,as you can focus on your purchase. You are well organized and your studio is so cozy and girly. Love the pink accents . Thank you for sharing this. ❤Helene
This video inspired me so much and reminds me of times when I only wanted to study art and was working on my portfolio for university every day. Nowadays I don't have much time to do arts. I studied special education (and I am very happy about it, this is just my job!) but I wanted to do arts (art therapy) as second subject, too. Makes me nostalgic. Thank you for reminding me, what calmed me down almost ten years ago. Thank you for motivating and inspiring!
I just want to thank you, these are the type of videos that motivate me to draw and paint when I'm feeling down or when I feel like I've lost my motivation for art ❤❤❤
No they are Not you just Look at to many artist/influencer that profit from their beauty privilege thru getting more attention because of their beautiful face, ass or rich peoples home (:
I'm so glad I found this channel. I love art and drawing. I'm trying my best to improve. You gave me a inspiration. I'm grateful. "Artist are a amazing gift of nature"
This was so so needed. I’ve been rushing through my paintings and dreading the process recently due to self criticism in the beginning stages instead of just letting it happen in its time. Thank you for the reminder, I’m grateful that the RUclips algorithm suggested this beautiful video. ❤️
Such a beautiful video. It got me very emotional but happy at the same time. It was like free therapy. It brought me peace in some way. Glad it was recommended and beautiful painting 😍
What a wonderful piece, I love the way you start your paintings, how you prepare everything and make sure everything is ready before starting your piece.
It's a joy to go through your work each time! So grateful to have come across your channel. Sending lots of Love your way Valerie 💛💛💛 Thank you so much for sharing your art. Really appreciate how much time / effort you put in creating each video and art. It's wonderful to see the world through your eyes 💛🤗🌻

Keep safe, and not forget to give yourself a break from time to time, gorgeous artist! - Love from Brazil
Hey Arin, thank you for telling me and I‘m really glad my Videos could give you motivation and hopefully to go back to writing
Finally I found someone that produces this kind of content! This video was so motivational and relaxing I love it. *I’m subbing*
I LOVE YOUR TOTORO PFP
You can also watch Cottagefairy she kind of does similar videos
Thank you for your kind words!❣️all this feedback of you guys motivates me even more to make videos! :‘) 🙏🏼 have a great day ☀️
@@valerielin you are my favorite artist ,♥️
same! after watching this, I feel like I am on top of the clouds! it feels refreshing
This might sound silly, but I cried when watching this. I haven't felt so relaxed in months, this video is just too beautiful.
not silly. it’s human.
♡
yeah it is this that makes the difference between a real artist and a painter who learnt to paint just to make money, you have the kind of spirit that an artist should have and you are completely connected to your inner world which is reflected on your art
you are the real artist
You are so graceful, when you paint it reminds me of when someone is playing piano or orchestrating a concert, it's like you have a rhythm to it and are dancing with the brushes. Your videos are so beautiful and bring me so much joy and inspiration!
I felt that when she said “if you feel uncomfortable try to go out in the morning….”
I'm so glad you popped up in my recommended videos. This is exactly what I needed to see/hear today. 💗
🥰
This is the first video of yours I'm watching and I must say it is just so pure, soothing, calming and beautiful
Keep going girll
I really really admire the care you put into everything you do. Your videos are thoughtful and beautiful, your paintings are emotional and feel so authentic. I am loving your channel!!
Truly needed a video like this today. I spent a lot of time with someone this week and I needed a break. Unfortunately, I have to study for my exams but this video gave me so much inspo, I wish I had my tools and sketchbook to create things, to be in touch with my inner child a little while. Thanks for creating this content and warming up our souls 💕
l literally painted myself into a depression the
other day because l'd become so focused on
perfection thinking about seeing my piece in
someone's home or sitting on someone's desk. l
haven't painted since because it makes me
anxious when l look at my supplies. But when
you said how omportant it was the enjoy the
proced video has been very healing for me....
Thank you.
This was so incredibly beautiful! I’m so excited to see more of your work.

"Without great solitude no serious work is possible"-pablo Picasso
this was so healing !
Why did this make me cry?... Beautiful artwork and you have such admirable character, mindset, and lifestyle. Thank you so much for sharing.
this video was recommended to me and it was like a gift. it also felt like a friend comforting through this strange times. im kinda of spiraling through many decisions in life and your video reminded me to enjoy, take my time and patience! and i was trying to get the courage to paint a canvas, but felt like it was impossible. by now i may just do it cause i feel inspired and your painting is beautiful! thank you
Beautiful painting!!
And i think I’m gonna get back into oil again
I enjoyed the forest bit and how you stood under the rain 🥺
I never rewatch vlogs WOW, your amazing everything. Your love for art how it reflects in the videos YOUR ART the music the way you film, your editing PERFECTION The advice you give the things you talk about your videos from the beginning to end *chefs kiss* 😭💕
Thank you Mei! The rain surprised me so much. It came out of the nothing and it was gone after 2 minutes haha. And oh my thank you for rewatching, that‘s a big compliment and I appreciate all your lovely words! 💕
@@valerielin 🥺💞
Thank you for the inspire you gave 😘 now I'm going to drawing 😂
haha yes! Patience is so important 🙏🏼🌱 Thank you too❣️

I wish every people who are searching for peace and appreciate beauty of art can see this, it's a escape from boring and dull life and you might find something which connects you to your interest or maybe you find your way back to your passionate but peaceful life. Thank you for this amazing content the music, the scenery and your painting is incredible. 😇🥰❤️
people don't know that sometimes we just want to be lonely to find peace,....
I was wondering when you would post another video and was lucky enough to find that you did today. Your videos motivate me to a great level, keep creating. Your paintings are so beautiful too 😍. Thank you for the inspirations.
Glad you liked it and I could bring joy in your day! ☀️
This painting is stunning. Really fantastic. I like the brightness of it.
I like the peacefulness of it :)
Enjoyed your vlog! Excited to see more
Oh!! You are such a genuine spirit! Please, keep creating your art and content, you have been such a blissful break for me.
I love this video so much. art in three forms: the process, the painting, the documentation. beautiful!
I love how you don't sugar-coat anything that takes time to accept
ty valerie 💖
Also your painting took my breath away !
God bless you💕
I would love to See your Portfolio that for you into artschool, if you got something like that🥰
hehe you can find a few of them in my oldest posts on my Instagram feed. Those Sargent Masterstudies for example. Had also a lot of pencil drawings. Mostly figurative. Let me see if I can show them in a video
I have an art project for school due tomorrow and this is inspiring me to stop procrastinating.
Wow, beautiful art! I love the calmness of your video. Creativity and forests is all we need for calm 😊
I just want to say thank you - you made me smile :)
RUclips need more people creative like you!
Oh thank you!
this is genuinely my comfort channel. thank you Valerie for making everyone's day better and i hope you make it big in the future ^-^
Sending you love ❣️
As I was watching this video I was absolutely mesmerized by you going to an art store. I love painting, and going to purchase new brushes and paint is SO exciting to me!
Lovely! Wonderful studio!
Your video is so cinematic! I love your editing and music, but more importantly is your great message! Thank you for sharing with us! Keep up the great work!
Thisssss is exactly it I literally just said this in my comment I fully agree 💕
Thank you guys, i appreciate it! 🙏🏼
Such a dreamy painting. I love your brush strokes.
She's so soothing the very first minute i subscribed her because of the voice, the kind of therapy and vibes she gives is just so peaceful.
I've never watched arty video, ever! Mainly because I felt like it'll be boring, but this, this is something I'll watch everyday now! Thank you💓
Really needed this. Haven’t been writing poetry or painting as passionately as I used to before. Every time I attempt to write or paint it would feel forced. Always focusing on the finished product rather than the process. Beautiful video. Thanks ❤️
I just discovered Valerie Lin’s videos. They are so calming but at the same time inspirational. Thank you.
I just want to thank you, these are the type of videos that motivate me to draw and paint when I'm feeling down or when I feel like I've lost my motivation for art ❤❤❤
watching this made me feel so good, thid was exactly the type of motivation i needed right now 😇😌
I love the combination of painting with a brush & then spackling technique too.
artists are always so goddamn pretty. I love watching them in their element
The artwork, the process was amazing and her smile at 13:04 was EVERTYHING.
You have your own beauty and it is so beautiful and special. Your life and voice and thoughts. Everything is just good.
Your videos are addictive, Valerie. I thank Universe for landing at your channel.
Much love❤️❤️
What a wonderful piece, I love the way you start your paintings, how you prepare everything and make sure everything is ready before starting your piece.
It's a joy to go through your work each time! So grateful to have come across your channel. Sending lots of Love your way Valerie 💛💛💛
Thank you so much for sharing your art. Really appreciate how much time / effort you put in creating each video and art. It's wonderful to see the world through your eyes 💛🤗🌻
