eh by keeping the goggled cybernetic eyes it kind of defeats the entire purpose of calling this grotsnik because he's a painboy and the model still reads as snikrot since that is literally his most defining feature, also the ammo backpack doesn't really work again more snikrot than grotsnik, really this just looks like snikrot with extrabits on him.
I'd personally have placed the circular saw in place of the 'thumbs' on the powa klaw, to give the impression that the big 'finger' segment was meant to press victims into the blade. Awesome conversion, regardless!
I was thinking that myself, I've been using Vallejo's metal color range and that silver looks like it acts in a similar way but with a thicker consistency.
The way your videos are setup is perfect, it shows us through the kitbashing experience, and the painting experience which lets us appreciate the final model even more. Great job
I have to admit I've noticed your painting style slowly moving from being quite dark and subdued to being a bit more bright and vibrant, and I've got to say I think it's absolutely amazing. Don't stop making cool things!
I think it would be interesting if you did your take on one of the more obscure warbosses in the lore. Warbosses with a ‘sentence or two of background or flavour text in some random Codex’ leave so much room for interpretation and creativity.
Finally, another ork kitbash! Personal I would've recommended the power klaw from the "Ork Warboss with Attack Squig" as it came with a circular saw built in, as well as the mechanical arm bits from the necromunda servitor ogryns, but this was a solid bash. Good video as always!
He’s a fun guy! Fun Gi. Fungi. I see what you did there mate!! Always appreciate a solid pun!! Also that’s a stunning conversion but that was never in doubt.
Came to your channel after seeing you on The Painting Phase, and absolutely loved this video. As I'm familiar with the hobby, I can recognise a lot of the ideas and techniques you're describing in a a way that would be approachable for a first time viewer, without any confusion at all. Really refreshing to see this. Seriously impressive job, on both your Grotsnik conversion (and stunning paint job), but also your style of content production - I'm immensely looking forward to working my way through your videos! ☺
Always inspirational on watching your creativity and skill in creating these kit bashes. Curious, ever thought of making a updated version of the Monstrous "Tyberos" from the Carcharodons, seeing him if transformed into his Primaris form.
this is incredible, so so awesome! i just started painting some minis, right now i sucks jaja but well, hope whit some practice and time i could do something like this some day. congrats for the results!
Always love your ork conversions. Been meaning to make a batch of fung-orks for myself after seeing that conversion on your channel a while ago. Do you have any quick recommendations on how to add blast damage to terrain pieces? I'm worried about cutting into mine without a plan.
I'm guessing you're talking about plastic terrain? The easiest way to get pock marks is to drill or dremel shallow holes, add a small amount of putty (greenstuff or milliput) and press it into the hole so it flares out around the edges. This helps to create the surface deformation and you can scratch in more jagged edges too.
That blade-to-pistol swap was the exact opposite of what I did with a primaris plasma pistol arm for my Templar brother kitbash! My mechanical hand now has a big sword.
That's amazing, but his cloth has blood, and it's the only part that it has been placed. Would have had something dribbling from a weapon. Love the paint job dude.
I love Orks, favorite faction - I know there isn't a lot to go off of but perhaps making 'The Beast' with various Orky bits would be fun? Trying to build the biggest Ork imaginable sounds interesting.
@@alienstar2088 I absolutely love anything Baldermort puts out, but his legend of Kronan is what cemented in my mind what true Orkiness was all about. He's got a way with puns and references that tickles my fancy and pulls me deeper into other aspects of lore I'd otherwise be less interested in.
An amazing kitbash. If there is anything to comment on it's only that it needs more gore (especially the buzz saw) and that it would be more in character if you just used have the googles. That way it would look more like cybernetics rather than just goggles. Very impressive!
Very nice man, very nice, got all the bits down, definitely doesnt just look like Snikrot with different weapons. Nice open brain pan too, really nailed it. Maybe put some more greenstuff and effort in next time, yeah?
I'd like to see more Warhammer fantasy stuff like the old Vampire Coast conversions. Maybe continue on that by doing a character - be really interesting to see you do Aranessa Saltspite.
Very incredible, although I am sad to see the super long klaw go, I always loved that design. Also, the stitching on the arms implies they were stolen from other orks, and personally I’d paint them slight variants of ork skin green to help sell that, but that’s just me. Very good as always, incredible talent on display in all aspects!
pretty snazzy conversion, and nice highlighting on the metallics. and the backpack looks so damn good, I still struggle with larger leather surfaces sometimes...
i love the orks bc it allows so much kitbash very easily. It is not so hard to have an army with all the models different in contrary with other factions
With the coming off the new beastmen kill team, I’d love to see some Chaos Space Marines conversions done with a beastmen theme. Maybe possessed + Minotaur design?

I don't know why but I initially mixed up Snikrot and Makari in my head and was absolutely baffled as to how you were going to pull this off.
Haha, THAT would have been a challenge
If there was one guy who could do it!
Two Makaris in a trenchcoat.
Grotsnik but really tiny
Most likely because of ghaz because I thought the same thing initially
I'd personally have placed the circular saw in place of the 'thumbs' on the powa klaw, to give the impression that the big 'finger' segment was meant to press victims into the blade. Awesome conversion, regardless!
This might be the best showcase of Duncan's metallics. I never realized how brilliant they are.

We really need a guide on how to convert Eldar Exodites with the new awesome AOS Dinosaurs
Yes 🦖🦕
I've been wanting to tackle Exodites for a long time and that range might just be the push I need.
@@PeteTheWargamer Don't forget the lumineth kangaroos
@@PeteTheWargamer Yes please! I'd love to see your take there.
The Ork Boarding Patrol kit is probably the absolute best kit for anyone that wants to maximize the customization of their Ork army
'Dere'z never enough kustom! BD
This seems so temptingly simple to make. I'm eyeing my snickrot sprue in utter indecision.
I think it would be interesting if you did your take on one of the more obscure warbosses in the lore. Warbosses with a ‘sentence or two of background or flavour text in some random Codex’ leave so much room for interpretation and creativity.
I'd love to see a take on Wazdakka Gutzmek, personally...
Nazdreg

The level of detail you manage to squeeze into these models is fascinating.
This is amazing! Your ork conversions are always so good, makes me wanna try to do an ufthak in his centurion armor!
Good job. Your fungi joke made me groan. And the model is as good as always! You're always an inspiration for my own building and bashing.
Thank you , Pete .
🐺
Great!and love the use of xpress
oh snap that is awsome. we needed the Mad Dok in Plastic. also I think you did a better job Making Rubric Dante than GW
Thank you! Yeh I'm surprised that we haven't seen him in plastic yet. He seems to have just been quietly retired, maybe one day though!
He’s a fun guy! Fun Gi. Fungi.
I see what you did there mate!! Always appreciate a solid pun!!
Also that’s a stunning conversion but that was never in doubt.
Excellent work. Very handy that a lot of the bit were found in the Boarding Patrol box.
Spectacular result, both the kit-bash and the paintjob
Love the Ork stuff, would be sick to see more of it! blood axes would go crazy with your home brew skills
SO much inspiration for my own orks! Loved the blending of acrylics into the transparent paints for the highlights.
Love to see orks ! I know they're not Pete's priority but damn he does them well
Beautiful work as always Pete
Looks amazing 🤩
This one is awesome. New favorite for myself. Good job
I was never too fond of the original model. Your version looks great. Nice work on the paintjob too!
Holy crap that looks amazing. Always impressed with your stuff. Definitely using this videos to improve my technics on future minis
Day 1 of asking Pete do create an Ork version of each Primarch...
Think this might be your best paint job yet (or at least my favourite). Great job!

Awesome kit-bash and paint job! Never thought I’d say this, but you are getting more and more amazing
Love the Orks man, also slow clap for the Fun-guys pun 😂
Last time I was this early the enderman had green eyes
always love watching you work.
Pete, that's such a good custom mini. Love it!
Thank you!
I was just figuring out how to make this guy myself, well done!
A ork you could do if you want is Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub, as he is a part of the Farsight arks of omen book
I agree, Nazdreg needs a new model!
Amazing paint job and amazing kitbash good job!
The best use of the new snikrot sculpt for sure.
Man I was hyped for this

I'm always excited to watch your videos. I'm now heading over to watch you on The Painting Phase. Let hilarity ensue, for certain!
Well done as always!!!

Absolutely mind-blowing - might need the Doc to Bionik me up a new Brain-pan!
That blade-to-pistol swap was the exact opposite of what I did with a primaris plasma pistol arm for my Templar brother kitbash!
My mechanical hand now has a big sword.
Recently finished my own Mad Dok Grotsnik kitbash using a painboss and some techy bits, but this looks just as good
The Fun-Gi (fun guy) pun was very much appreciated!
Amazing work, although the Power Klaw cable is so short he wouldn't be able to lift it very far! Under hand blows only 😂
Love the Ork kit bashing.. awesome
That's amazing, but his cloth has blood, and it's the only part that it has been placed. Would have had something dribbling from a weapon. Love the paint job dude.
Great Job, also i can't wait to see your Lion Conversion
It’s good to see ork kitbashes. You should do a grot bomm launcha. Fun vehicle that’s super rare, I’m lucky to own one and have never found another.
I love Orks, favorite faction - I know there isn't a lot to go off of but perhaps making 'The Beast' with various Orky bits would be fun? Trying to build the biggest Ork imaginable sounds interesting.
Have you listened to Baldermort's "Kronan da Kunnin"?

Love what you do Pete
Got that horrible cold going round? 😉
Excellent kitbash as always chief!
Those bronze metallics look amazing
Gotta love some Orky convershuns. Comes at a good time as I'm building a rather unique Ork force for a campaign I have coming up
Great video love the effort you put in to inspire us.
especially the bronze is relly well done. nice model :)
Thank you very much!
The freaking silver paint what??? I’ve never seen a silver so perfect like that before!!!
Now THAT’S some proper ork skin! 💖

Only thing I would say for future builds keep in mind clan colors. Mad doc is a death skull ork and he would have some blue splashed in there.
What a great idea - I like the resin Snikrot better than the plastic one, so this is a great use for him
great video mate. love ur content
great stuff as always
Such a wonderful conversion.
Thoroughly enjoyed that
The Mad Dok himself would be proud, I'm hoping if he ever gets re released that he leads his own force of Cyborks
Tuska Demon-killa would be interesting to see.
Yeah, I like to imagine Tuska looking like combination of Ork Warboss and Daemon Prince of Khorne
Very nice man, very nice, got all the bits down, definitely doesnt just look like Snikrot with different weapons. Nice open brain pan too, really nailed it. Maybe put some more greenstuff and effort in next time, yeah?
Love the ork bashing please do more.
For your next ork kitbashes, I would love to see some Khorne Boyz
This is really awesome would love to see you remake kaptain baddruk
Nice and orky, well done!
I would love to see an orruk, particularly a kruelboy, priest. Seems like he would be a real fungi and standout even amongst orks and orruks.
Oh yes! More Fun Guys please! I’d be really interested to see what you’d do with rank and file boyz to make them more unique.
I think the conversion was very interesting. I had no idea GW had a model kit with syringes so that was a discovery for me.
I would love to see you make a kitbash of the Nightlord Decimus ( I want to make one myself but don't where to start)
lol came looking for this yesterday When i saw it on the Community site
If you play orks you should have a box or two of nobz, just for the bits. That box is pure gold
Great kitbash, the only thing I wasn't sold on was the buzzsaw on the claw.
It would be cool to see one of your really big conversions, maybe using an imperial knight
I'd like to see more Warhammer fantasy stuff like the old Vampire Coast conversions. Maybe continue on that by doing a character - be really interesting to see you do Aranessa Saltspite.

I remember playing wh40k with my dad. His orks against my tau. It was great. He always used Dok Grotsnik. We still have the model i love it
pretty snazzy conversion, and nice highlighting on the metallics. and the backpack looks so damn good, I still struggle with larger leather surfaces sometimes...
Death Skull Orks for life! Mad Dok was one of the best Death Skulls ever!
Great paintjob
On the theme of Ork characters, I think Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub would make an excellent kit-bashing subject
i love the orks bc it allows so much kitbash very easily. It is not so hard to have an army with all the models different in contrary with other factions
With the coming off the new beastmen kill team, I’d love to see some Chaos Space Marines conversions done with a beastmen theme.
Maybe possessed + Minotaur design?
I would love to see you turn the whole box of that into a followers of grotsnik army of orks
Have you ever thought of doing some iron hands? They are my favorite chapter and I would love to see them!
You have a great voice for VO
Proppa good conversion!
This was a lot of fun! I'd be curious to see your takes on Ghazkull in his current state and Tuska Daemon-Killa for other ork conversion suggestions.
