I love your reaction, Teddy. two things to share: 1) I was surprised when you said whoever created the beat has to be ADHD etc.. Actually Bang Chan ( the leader, also the main person to create the tracks for almost ALL of the SKZ songs ) does have a bit of OCD (NOT ADHD though) that he HAS TO put everything neatly in place, including the way he produces the songs. And he is a perfectionist and VERY humble as his standard for himself SO high. 2) This song IS about a toxic relationship that you know it's bad but still can't help being drawn to and eventually willingly to stay. According to Changbin (also 3 Racha member) . OH, in case it hasn't be mentioned, 3 Racha ( Bang Chan, Han and Changbin ) is the producing team and members of Stray Kids. And this "ODDINARY" album is 100% written and composed by the members, over 80% arranged by themself as well.
Just a correction ODD is something completely different from OCD, which Chan also does not have. And the reactor was talking about ADHD, which is not close to either
you can't have "a bit of ocd", ocd is a mental disorder. it's more accurate to say that chan may have some obsessions or compulsions, because you can experience those without having ocd. even then, without knowing his mental state, you should really just say that he's a perfectionist, which he HAS actually stated before. it's not fair to make assumptions on chan's mental health
There's a difference between "used the same word because we couldn't think of a rhyme" and the centuries-old literary device of epistrophe -- the repetition of a word or words at the end of multiple lines to create a refrain, emphasize a concept, or establish a rhythm. SKZ has zero problem rhyming, ever. They do it randomly off the cuff in virtually every conversation because their writer brains never turn off. This wasn't "I can't rhyme." This was "I'm knowledgeable about literary/poetical devices and am employing one to serve a purpose." If Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, John Steinbeck, Charlotte Brontë, and Shakespeare can use it, it's safe to consider it an established, respected, legitimate device. 🙂

I'm glad to see this comment! I thought I was the only one thinking about it this way but I'm glad I'm not!! I got to the conclusion because of the lyrics + video like example when they are sitting at the table and eating the poisonous fruit bang chang is just looking around and he is the only one with his glass full while the others are either drinking or eating, that makes me feel as he was the one who picked all of those guys to join him in the "poisonous world" and even tho he doesn't eat or drink he is looking with discomfort around on that scene like knowing already what it is all about. There are other details in the video that all wrapped up make me think about this being about the industry and not about a relationship.
@@AniquiladoraS4 yeah I always enjoy their lyrics and mvs a lot for this exact reason, there are a lot of metaphors in them and I really love trying to figure them out. skz always has all my attention fr

This song is about being trapped in a relationship that is poisonous but you still like it. Think Britney Spears Toxic only cooler. The fingers fingers part that you didn’t like, the first time they’re say their body is going numb from the venom and they can’t feel their fingers (spider/black widow reference) then the second time they say “you’ve got me wrapped up around your fingers.” (Talking about being addicted to a person) then you have the spider crawling on their heart, all the bombs, guns, spikes, daggers, handcuffs clearly this is a dangerous situation and they are trying to find their way out. But when they find the exit they choose to go back in. In this case the MV reflects the lyrics perfectly.
yeah i also thought that complaint was a bit strange lol even when not acknowledging the deeper metaphors, there are plenty of times in extremely viral western songs where they repeat a line like that or use the same word in a rhyme scheme and it literally doesn't matter because not only is it for effect/impact, it just straight up sounds good. to me i never saw a problem with those lines but idk maybe i'm biased lmao
Venom is about being trapped in a toxic relationship, may it be about yourself or about another person. Using the Spiderweb analogy as a trap, and saying the lyrics, “trapped with no intention of escaping” meaning even if they wanted to get out of that toxicity, they won’t. The whole music video itself also shows a lot of imagery of “the winner has been decided since the start” with the Arrow pointing at one person while another person pulls the bow, One throwing grenade while the other catches it with a baseball bat, Boxing with spikes on, and playing Chess with only a single white color. It tells the narrative that they’re trapped in their own making.
@@alexxpanda6412 the game they’re playing is rigged from the start, only jeongin has the control over the arrow while pointing to bang chan, seungmin is throwing a bomb while Han is catching it with a bat (which is useless against a bomb), felix and jeongin both have white chess pieces (in chess your opponent should be black), and in the boxing ring both Hyunjin and Lee know have spikes on their gloves. All these games are already rigged from the start since it favors only the winning person. It’s a metaphor for being trapped inside a spiderweb. and the spiderweb can mean being trapped inside a toxic relationship.

I viewed it as a spot in spotlight, fame, social media, the industry, being idol. Thats the web and the attention or things that draw their attention, things that feed the addiction or ego is the poison/venom and I think the line saying once you realized you are trapped and embrace it you feel more free. Its really open for interpretation but thats the feels I got from it.
They create these beats for themselves 3Racha (which consists of the leader Bang Chan, Changbin and Han) they produce, arrange, compose and write all of their own music, always have 🤟🏽
So….. sometimes we meet people who we know are bad for us. We know that we will get hurt or hurt someone else because of them but you can’t stay away from them. This is that. This song is the musical interpretation of that. Love your channel ❤
I just started watching your reactions and in this video you talk about having a solid rap track. They have a couple released this year. One is called HeyDay and the other is 3Racha. So good!
VENOM is about an addictive relationship. Beautiful dangerous woman/man. Binnie says he wants the dangerous relationship on purpose. Hyunjin is Trapped. Addicted and intoxicating potion. Numb from it. Han gets thrills and chills. At the end Felix doesn’t want to escape. Apparently, SKZ are all trapped together arrow to the heart. It’s brilliant. 💙🐝 I’m late with this comment because I just found your reactions a week ago. Funny to see you dumbfounded over VENOM.
You describe it so well! And yeah, I'm late seeing this video cuz I just found his channel and been watching through the older vids when he first became Stay ^__^
they always participate in the production of the tracks, everything from lyric writing to composing and arrangement, and they often have topics to cover in every song, so hearing you say it's just a nice song about a spider got me laughing so hard 😂😭 I take Venom as the other side of their song Charmer (of that same album), cause in both of them there's an object of attraction whereas in venom that object is something that you could avoid due to some sort of significant damage (regarding the parts where they said sth like "I could've scaped BUT I am here right in front of you") and go away from, in Charmer it's them actually, the ones who you can't resist. (one more thing, Charmer got no music video but it was considered to be also the title track for Oddinary)
You can listen to 3racha (the three main rappers) - start line - P. A. C. E. - ZONE Solo by Han: GOT IT rap songs by Stray kids: - the tortoise and the hare - maze of memories
you asked about individual rap tracks. Changbin has a track called "Cypher" and Han has a track called "I Got It", both are rap tracks if you'd be interested in listening to those :)
Muddy Water is one of the songs on the latest album and on it are only 4 rappers and the other 4 singers have their own ballad like song. So if you wanna see more of the rapping you should check out Muddy Water. I also think you should check out The tortoise and the hare aswell as maze of memories.
full rap tracks: "muddy water" (new!), "the tortoise and the hare", "easy" also two rappers have solos: han did "i got it" and changbin did "streetlight" and "cypher" songs with cool raps in it: "gods menu" (their most popular song!), "domino", "charmer" (new!) also its all self-produced and written by the members chan, changbin and han (also working together with other producers) i really enjoyed your stray kids reactions and would definetly watch more of them! :)
I'll add my voice to the Muddy Water requests, no mv so use one of the color coded lyric videos. They also have some good collaborations. 3Racha the production unit and original rap unit of the group collab'd with Japanese rapper Sky High on Just Breathe, talk about ADD....and Changbin featured in the track Mirror Mirror by F Hero and Milli, which is amazing. And I'll also add a vote for The Tortoise and the Hare. The "fingers" is not supposed to rhyme with "fingers", it is a repetition for emphasis of a change in meaning and feeling. Very different poetically/lyrically from trying to rhyme something. It's actually a pretty powerful artistic choice.
Dude, i'd so be there if Stray Kids and SB19 were to ever do a collab. Some of the SB19 members have been doing dance covers of the recent Stray Kids songs and it's so fun to see! I hope we get more crumbs like that. :)
I'm so glad you mentioned individual tracks! They do have some! Some of my personal faves are: Streetlight - Changbin and Bangchan Cypher - Changbin I got it - Han Alien - Han The top 3 are pretty much rap, but all different styles. Alien has amazing vocals from Han. But it'd be awesome to see you check these out. The Cypher from Changbin showcases like 5 different rap flows which is insane. Streetlight is more melodic rap but it's DEEP DEEP when it comes to the lyrics.
They are very hands on with their music. There are a ton of rap tracks, I love "maze of memories," and changbin's "cypher," "The tortoise and the Hare," "Muddy Water," "I got it" and all 3racha (Changbin, Han and Bang Chan) tracks
In this album they have Muddy Water. But from previous albums they have many. Like The Tortoise and the hare and maze of memories. Especially for solo / sub unit projects they have many, luke I Got It, Cypher, Zone etc. They posted in their YT acc. Kindly check them out too.
About the beats and the changes in sound... it may sound very different when you compare it to music being produced in Britain or America and although Stray Kids is definitely unique in their sound, beat changes and radical shifts in sound is quite a common thing in kpop music. They're just more experimental with it and are always pushing boundaries, which is one of the things that makes it so interesting! They lean towards a slightly different structure as well. Often times, there is a 'dance break' section before the last chorus which almost always has a slightly different sound and then there is also a 'bridge' (common to western songs as well) which is maybe a bit slower or more melodic. A lot of the groups have designated rappers, singers and members who can do both so for title tracks (and b-sides) there's usually a melodic aspect as well as verses from the rappers. So it's really just a different industry with different patterns- if you listen to other groups as well you'll get a sense of it. :)
Some really amazing songs that are def. some of my favs (ngl all their songs are my favourites atp): Maze of Memories Any SLUMP (it's more of a alternative type of song) Got it (by Han) Drive Tortoise and the Hare Side effects Double Knot
They make the beats and write the lyrics themselves! They have 100% freedom with the music they make. They all know how to rap, sing and dance. They are practically aces.
Your reactions are so cool! I wonder if you can react to Stray Kids Muddy Water! That is a masterpiece itself! BTW, Stray Kids produce their own music, arrangement, beats, lyrics etc. They are truly talented. This is one of the reasons the fans enjoy listening to them, because they are literally delivering their feelings though this form of art.

So good!
ooooh you’ve got a lot to catch up on then! 🍿👀 I’ve done both of those!
Let's keep this little marathon going! Haha 😄
I’m late with this comment because I just found your reactions a week ago. Funny to see you dumbfounded over VENOM.
You describe it so well! And yeah, I'm late seeing this video cuz I just found his channel and been watching through the older vids when he first became Stay ^__^
@@sarahmeador1120 same. Hi fellow latecomer 👋
You should react to 'Easy', its one of their best rap heavy songs, and its really fast paced
It's not K-POP. This is Stray kids!
BROOOOO THE PLAYSTATION ONE SOUND AS YOUR INTRO!!! Cool reactions bro keep it up.
They do it them selfs 🙂
Listen to their song, Muddy Water, off their latest album Oddinary. It’s Strictly the rap line! It’s amazing.
On individual project I'd recommend Changbin's "Cypher" and Han's "I got it", these are all rap songs and I'm sure you'll like them
This group are some of the hardest rappers but they are musical write and produce they’re own music. Their message is be genuine and be yourself.
man i love ur reaction , plz do more of stray kids i rly enjoy watching ur videos
They are self produced:)
Their newest fully rap song is Muddy Water its an old school type hip hop track.
PLEASE REACT TO SIDE EFFECTS AND GODS MENU !! live your reactions!
Maze of memories for sure
Omg you'll love maze of memories, muddy water and tortoise and the hare
i knew stay would be n the comments on some "they wright their OWN MUSIC" like, we never miss an opportunity.😂
There are concepts and stories that surround groups and clips
In this album the rappers did a full rap song as the rappers unit of the group, it’s called “Muddy Water” and it’s old school rap style :)
Hi, love your reactions. They produce their own music, from beat to melody to lyrics.
Now that you're a Stay I forgive some of the commentary lol... glad you know what's up now, love the content, keep on your jutdae💚💚💚
the full rap tack: Muddy water & Maze of Memories. please check them out
they always participate in the production of the tracks, everything from lyric writing to composing and arrangement, and they often have topics to cover in every song, so hearing you say it's just a nice song about a spider got me laughing so hard 😂😭
I take Venom as the other side of their song Charmer (of that same album), cause in both of them there's an object of attraction whereas in venom that object is something that you could avoid due to some sort of significant damage (regarding the parts where they said sth like "I could've scaped BUT I am here right in front of you") and go away from, in Charmer it's them actually, the ones who you can't resist. (one more thing, Charmer got no music video but it was considered to be also the title track for Oddinary)
They make the beats themselves
You can listen to 3racha (the three main rappers)
- start line
- P. A. C. E.
- ZONE
Solo by Han:
GOT IT
rap songs by Stray kids:
- the tortoise and the hare
- maze of memories
you asked about individual rap tracks. Changbin has a track called "Cypher" and Han has a track called "I Got It", both are rap tracks if you'd be interested in listening to those :)
They have a song called muddy water that came out in this albulm which is a track of only the members in the rap unit
My faves from them are Double Knot and Side Effects, and now Venom. The beats are crazy good. 🔥🔥🔥
Muddy Water is one of the songs on the latest album and on it are only 4 rappers and the other 4 singers have their own ballad like song. So if you wanna see more of the rapping you should check out Muddy Water. I also think you should check out The tortoise and the hare aswell as maze of memories.
Yesss 🔥
love this again!! and yes! they made an old school hiphop track in the same album written by the rappers of the group - Muddy Water!
not me binging your vids cause of the first SKZ reaction of freeze. u too funny. love this.😂
full rap tracks: "muddy water" (new!), "the tortoise and the hare", "easy"
also two rappers have solos: han did "i got it" and changbin did "streetlight" and "cypher"
songs with cool raps in it: "gods menu" (their most popular song!), "domino", "charmer" (new!)
also its all self-produced and written by the members chan, changbin and han (also working together with other producers)
i really enjoyed your stray kids reactions and would definetly watch more of them! :)
Solo songs of Han : Alien, Got it, Happy, wish yo back
Love your reactions, keep up with the good work! I hope for more Stray kids reactions in the future☺️
Stray kids have a storyline in their M/Vs and sometimes their lyrics are about the storyline and not really about real life experience
What if i tell you, the ones who make those crazy beats and sounds, also lyrics, are 3 members from the group itself, it's them, they're crazy
the rap line have a song called 'Muddy Water' you can check it out !!
them creat the songs and ... talent man =stary kids
Rap track of this specific album is Muddy Water,
Check out the sub-unit of stray kids 3Racha's track Matryoshyka
Dude, i'd so be there if Stray Kids and SB19 were to ever do a collab. Some of the SB19 members have been doing dance covers of the recent Stray Kids songs and it's so fun to see! I hope we get more crumbs like that. :)
Their individual tracks are all on
Skz- player
The individual rap track I’d recommend are:
Cypher - changbin
Streetlight -changbin
I got it - Han
skz make all their own music!!
I'm so glad you mentioned individual tracks! They do have some! Some of my personal faves are:
Streetlight - Changbin and Bangchan
Cypher - Changbin
I got it - Han
Alien - Han
The top 3 are pretty much rap, but all different styles.
Please listen to the tortoise & the hare or Double knot they're also kinda in the same vibe as venom and freeze
Some really amazing songs that are def. some of my favs (ngl all their songs are my favourites atp):
Maze of Memories
Any
SLUMP (it's more of a alternative type of song)
Got it (by Han)
Drive
Tortoise and the Hare
Side effects
Double Knot
They make the beats and write the lyrics themselves! They have 100% freedom with the music they make. They all know how to rap, sing and dance. They are practically aces.
Your reactions are so cool! I wonder if you can react to Stray Kids Muddy Water! That is a masterpiece itself!
BTW, Stray Kids produce their own music, arrangement, beats, lyrics etc. They are truly talented.
This is one of the reasons the fans enjoy listening to them, because they are literally delivering their feelings though this form of art.
3racha is a part of the group that does most of the rapping, they have some songs of their own
for more stray kids, i recommend:
side effects
miroh
double knot
easy
god's menu
back door
thunderous
cheese
District 9
Stray Kids create their own music! ALL!
