Nykona Sharrowkyn, the one guy who can out Alpha Legion the Alpha Legion, face down Primarchs without flinching, show Lucius his place in the setting. Dude is a gigachad with Lady Luck's blessing on his side. He really is proof as to why the Raven Guard are not push overs or forgotten, just underrated and underappreciated.
Show Lucius his place in the setting...you mean every named character who conveniently haven't fought him because every naed character in 40k is stronger then him and has never heard of the concept of joy?

Shattered legions is very good.
I find it hilarious, a iron hand, a legion known for just being absolute survival of the fittest, would look at our wounded bird boy and say, "Congratulations. You're being rescued, do not attempt to resist."
Worst case scenario he can take a bullet for them so they can kill more traitors. That said, they adopted him after he gave his best shot at lobotomising Fulgrim so it turned out to be a very good decision.
They always were kinda hardass to a degree but that sort of thinking only became virulent and twisted after losing Ferrus and most of the commanding officers some of whom, like DuCaine and Santor, were pretty reasonable, Weyland was of that same sort too; 40K Iron Hands probably would had killed Nykona themselves for being weak which shows how far gone they are.
They are the toughest marines for a reason.
Do they believe that doctrine so strongly that they don't retreat or collect the wounded? Cause then it's just bad war tactics

@@mandke23Ooh, I can help. Shattered Legions is a collection of short stories, a good number of them features Sharrowkyn and Wayland. Angel Exterminatus covers the part where he snipes Fulgrim in the head. Kryptos is another short story where Sharrowkyn and Wayland get that thing they use to intercept the traitors’ communications. And Sons of the Selenar covers the whole thing with the Magna Mater and marks the end of his known story. Those are the ones I know.

"Brother Sharrowkyn, is there something wrong with the floor?" was one of the few moments I've read in the Horus Heresy series that actually made me laugh out loud.

@@saber17123 The book is Angel Exterminatus, which is book 23 of the horus heresy series.
Back then, Magnus was still him. He did not want to betray his father, and in a way hated chaos more than he did the imperium but he was forced down that path. So in my mind, it was him saying "Continue our great work, if you survive" to any potential survivors of the battle to come, one way or another
Magnus meant well, but made dumb choices, just like his dad.
I really like Corvus I wish him and the Raven Guard were bigger in the lore. I imagine he's due to return whenever Lorgar's cooked ass forgets about him and leaves his tower. I think the World Bearers could realistically overtake the Black Legion as Chaos' "favorites" due to the events of Arcs of Omen and Abaddon assisting a Chaos Demigod. Wishful thinking I know

What I like about Sharrowkyn is how he is all about equality. Primarchs, Astates Elite, Space Marine Grunts, Daemons- he'll equally kick your arse with zero qualms about it. And I'm pretty sure he is still doing that, like his dad.
Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would have reacted to being in Guillimans situation as imperial regent would be pretty cool , seeing fulgrim focusing on the perfection or lorgar living his dreams would be great.

I like the idea of him being a mini version of current Corvus, just another bird demon delivering smoke to the traitors like it’s Uber eats. Idk how or if that’s even feasible but idc that dad and son duo is elite. Add Tyberos in that group and you got the perfect traitor primarch killteam that would genuinely have a 90% of success assassinating any of Corvus’ bros if they catch them lacking.

@ianharrison5758 you are underestimating primarchs even if its lorgar,they cant kill lorgar before demonhood, they sure as hell cant now. perhaps 10 man squad of the best astartes like mephiston, dante including stuff like sanguinor and st celestine

@@flabbergaster1011 Oh yeah, 2 gigachad space marines won’t be near enough to kill Lorgar, at least not in open combat, especially now that he’s a demon prince. I wasn’t trying to say that without Corvus, Tyberos and Sharokyn would be able to assassinate a primarch, I was trying to say that with Corvus, those 3 could pull up on Lorgar and have a 90% chance of banishing him regardless of his position. If Corvus alone could Molly whop the entire force trying to stall him when he pulled up on Lorgar in the eye of terror, those 3 could siege the tower he’s been in all this time and have a 90% chance of clutching up a banishment even if the entire Galvorbak and a company of Word bearers were on guard(maybe even true death if G man lends Corvus the emperor’s sword but idk how likely it would be for it to work without the emperors explicit blessing which only G man has rn)
The same could be said for the other traitor primarchs, though most wouldn’t be as easy as Lorgar. He’s probably op when it comes to sorcerous rituals like the one that caused the ruin storm, but for a primarch he’s got no hands, like bro can’t box for shit. I think the hardest one to take out for the trio I named would be Magnus or Perty. I doubt Even Angrons big ass could hold Demon Corvus in a 1v1 that starts off as an ambush, add Tyberos and Sharrowkyn to that and id argue those 3 could take on Angron and Kharne the betrayer(Sharrow takes skill now that kharnes a murder bot and Tyberos can probably box dreadnaughts so even the avatar of khorne can’t take both of them out before Corvus sends angron back to the lobby)
Just my opinion and I’m very biased towards the raven guard so don’t take my yapping too seriously
But never forget the deeds of Tyro, Tarsa, Wayland, Numen and Thamatica. Every single a unremembered hero of their legions and the entire Imperium.
I recommend a video about the brief childhood of the Primarchs. How these short formative years shape their character and specific moments e.g. Konrad Curze eating the brains of the first person he came across or Corvus Corax ripping the head off a cruel slave master and presenting it to a girl.
As well as how Corax adapted a power-whip into his Primarch arsenal.
That moment was the most formative memory he had, when he brought it up to his closet of friends...(the same "girl" mentioned above presented the head of her The man who abused her)
The only human that could call him "Corax" just Corax... Not the Ravenlord, nor a Primarch of the Emperor.
He caught the whip in his hand, the very first thing Corax did in life was to be attacked... He did everything he could to make sure he would be the one to attack in the future.
His trauma from being imprisoned made him desire freedom, only for him to become the very jailer in the very same damn place of his very own sons. (The Gene-warped) it was his price for vengeance and his sin against humanity as well as his son's.
The pain of this is why he left to fight alone in the warp after being locked in his tower for a year and a day.
Now I'm sure he's miserable... Yet again he's a jailer, but of Lorgar this time.
I wish the Raven Guard got more attention. Stealthy boys get no love. Hopefully they'll get some in the coming years if Corax returns. Would also like to see more of Kayvaan Shrike, one of the most underrated Space Marines in the current setting imo.
It's odd how Shrike has the best model of all the chapter masters yet RG gets zero play in the lore

I prefer the psychopathic stealthy skin flaying boyz but the bird is the word.
It kinda makes sense, lore wise. Some of the greatest warriors and spies in real life aren’t ever recorded in the history books, and yet they may have changed world history and helped humanity avoid annihilation. The Raven Guard are stealthy spy like Space Marines, so they wouldn’t expect a lot of accolades or praises, and would see duty as its own reward. Then again, they’re not as bland and vanilla as The Ultramarines, so it would be hard for GW to sell their models that people could paint different colors to represent different chapters.
If we were known so much by others brother are ways of stealth would be hindered. I maybe new to the war hammer franchise, but I’ve been playing heresy card game for quite a bit and the raven gaurd have been my fav legion for the imperium due the fact they don’t really seek honor or glory rather get the job done for the greater good.
Sharrowkyn was a standout character from the Broken Legions for me. Really would like to have a novel series featuring him, before, during or after the HH.
That moment the rogue is a better DPS than the sorcerer.

Nykona is definitely one of my favorite characters of the Heresy. You just know whenever he shows up he's going to do something awesome.

Infiltration of the alpha legion is pretty impressive... I wonder if he could infiltrate the golden throne. That would be a dope story.
I think he's an absolute badass and would love to see him return to the setting and put down Lucius again although my favourite part about his lore is that he's a master of stealth having snuck up on Fabius Bile and Lucius before but his stealth just doesn't work on the adopted Salamanders apothecary due to their specialised vision leading to some funny exchanges where the apothecary spots him just hanging from the ceiling.

This man sounds like fuck’n master chief of the 40k universe even his ending is getting into stasis that’s pretty damn cool and as a raven guard player even more so.
The Captain with Jump pack should be getting a model I could see him making a return for that in 40K.

I came across a Warhammer thread the other day that asked everyone their favorite loyalist and favorite traitor legions. Raven guard were overwhelmingly one of the top loyalist choices. They deserve attention so thanks for doing this video.

I think The Lord of Summer Lightning is one of the most badass names used in 40k, I don't know why, I just fukkin love it.

The great part about him going into stasis implies the possibility that he can still be alive in 40k, but with an upgrade. His reemergence could bring the Raven Guard back to the forefront

The single most under rated Legion is the raven guard! I love this Legion. Among other legions, they are one of the closest to I think understanding the "common man" of the setting. Corvus being raised by political prisoners and educated by them gave him a humanity that is maybe only rivaled by guilliman. The interactions between him and the Legion are still father to son, but he speaks to them in a way that makes you feel like he thinks of them as peers or brothers. They feel more like a family than some other legions. And sharrowkin is one of my all time fav space marines ever. Dude is a monster and a genius. There aren't many like him. He took the war to horus with scraps and thrown together forces without much support. He, maybe more than even another primarch, played a massive role in slowing down horus advance.
Raven guard deserve more time in the spot light.

I do like how there seems to be a lot of potential for returns and revamps of older and underused factions such as the raven guard, seeing as they played a pretty important role in the primaris project, and could easily return to oppose the word bearers should GW feel the need. Even others like Perty and Dorn are sort of just sitting on the sidelines waiting for their time to return like their other brothers have.
This custom art gives me deamon Corax vibes, which leads me to the possibility of Corax having some of his deceased sons as warp warriors to fight beside him, which as a ravenguard player, sounds pretty badass
I really hope that short story with Corax in the Eye of Terror is going to be a jumping off point for him. The idea of that guy doing that kind of bad ass stuff gets me so excited. I cannot wait to see him again.
