I love your unfinished projects. I love quilting and fabric too. I have way too much. I also collect vintage linens and have lots of vintage sheets, quilts and pillowcases. I've started to put some them on the spare bed recently to make use of them. You're not alone in hoarding fabrics. I'm the same and I am trying to use as much as I can. I think it's great that you are repurposing your old clothes for quilts. Very resourceful keeps the memory of favourite items of clothing alive. Good luck completing your projects. I have a couple of projects I'm hoping to complete this winter.

You have so much lovely work done, Tess! I just knew that was a Lucy/Attic 24 blanket! Scrumptious colors, and such even stitching. Your socks are lovely, as is your quilting and kitty stitching You are very talented. All of us who do handwork have a problem with loving fabric and yarn! We could start a little accountability group on your channel, LOL!

I have followed Lucy from Attic24 for years and I absolutely love her blog....she is so very talented. Her crochet is nothing short of amazing too! The photos she takes from around where she lives looks so beautiful I think. Have a lovely week Tess x

Yh guilty tess, your not the only one. Im trying to work through the unfinished stuff before i buy anymore fabric kits etc. I had the wool to knit a fancy scarf with a hood, its taken me 6 yrs to do. In my defence i started knitting it and kept going wrong ,so left it but didnt mean to leave it that long. Also got a quilt top partly done and 3 others to start and a quilt im taking apart to repair. I also have quilt tops to back and quilt.also cross stitch pictures to frame.i also have a prob with fàbric, trying to work through that tooDont be embarrased you are not alone believe me. We should start a craftaholic anoymous club, i think ill have a huge membership looooool

Attic 24 was my most visited site until I developed rheumatoid arthritis. Lucy is a lovely person and I envy her house and talent!
As for WIP ,maybe you will be encouraged by this little story.
About 3 years ago I was visiting Whitley Bay and discovered a beautiful yarn shop. I bought some hand dyed sock yarn and made some comment about my 5 or 6 WIP s with knitting. An American visitor was loading her basket with delicious yarns and laughed. ' 5 or 6 ! I have about a 100 '. I never felt so guilty about my addiction to yarn and fabric again.
I would do the first 3 in the evenings Tess. The patchwork is afternoon work and you need good light so maybe wait until the Spring.

@@Tess-FrugalLiving I came very late to crochet and even though I am able to do more handicraft now, I have never had the courage to start one of her blankets.
By the way, every time I see your wallpaper, I remember the kitchen we had in the late 1960's.It's almost identical and remember painting the woodwork avocado or something like that to match the motifs.

Not really an unfinished project..but just want to share this little story..about 13years old myself and best friend Viv decided to buy enough paisley print fabric to make a blouse each in our needlework class at school.. we're talking 1960's here..all of a sudden our lovely needlework teacher shouted over to Viv..'have you cut the sleeves out yet' thankfully she hadn't......cause I'd cut four out... being the same pattern it was resolved...I did get better over the years..ha ha..but am permanently reminded of this blunder by my lifelong friend..🤣🤣🤭👍x

I used to be a knitwear designer so still loads of yarn and wips around the place. You have given me the incentive to at least round them up and get them in one place! My cure for second sock syndrome is to knit two socks on circular needles at the same time, alternatively I would knit a section of one and then a section of the other e.g band, leg, ankle etc so I was only ever 1 section away from a completed pair 😀 your crochet blanket is so beautiful that I've decided to embrace the dark side and go check out Lucy's site.
