We are a family of four, working hard to eat healthily, live frugally, pay off our mortgage early and save/invest for retirement. We’ve lived below the poverty line for many years and have now got our heads above that line. Our household income remains well below the national average in the UK but we have paid off all of our debt, including our mortgage.
It’s all hands on deck to save and invest for our retirement and for our children’s futures. We hope that we can put them in a position where they don’t have to struggle financially, as we have, and that we can break the generational cycle of poverty that we have experienced.
We all have different issues with food, including food sensitivities, so I shop to work around those considerations.
If you have found anything in this video useful, please give me a thumbs up and subscribe for more healthy eating and frugal living with a debt-free purpose 😊.

So lovely to see you Tess and hear that you are all okay! I was wondering what had happened to you?
My Auntie who would be 98 had some of those pans, she used them all the time, she would cook her vegetables and potatoes in them for her Sunday dinner. She also grew a lot of her own fruit and veg and never threw anything away! My mum has one of those colanders too, a trip down memory lane! Your video made me smile today. ☺️

We're having the same weather here in the southern US states. Wet & gloomy with the occasional tornado warnings one day.....bright & sunny the next day.
Luckily, the freezing temperatures have been few thus far. I enjoy all your videos, and I have never seen that type of divided cookware. I think it's brilliant 👏.

Oh Tess, what memories you've brought back! Growing up in Leeds in the 1950's my best friend's mother had those three section pans, and I was just fascinated by them! I loved going to her house for tea so I could watch them being used! So glad you're back, and sorry to hear of the weather you've been having! But spring is on it's way for sure.

So lovely to see you back - and those pans! Hubby and I received a set of the ‘3’ pans as a wedding present in 1973. They were in constant use until daughter number 2 arrived then I swopped them with my Mum for the half pans she had as they held more. I used them constantly until I had a kitchen refit and gained a swanky induction hob. It’s funny because I’ve just recently been looking on the internet to see if there is anything similar for an induction hob as sadly, I only cook for one these days. I still have the same steamer insert though, still used. I used to love cooking for my Dad at his place and always used the three pans. He was 94 and as sharp as a razor when he died, those pans really did us proud. I hope you enjoy using them, and thanks for bringing back such lovely memories for me, and I hope you are going to enjoy the enamel pan, it’s beautiful x

So glad to see you back ! Glad all is well and everyone is fine. I got to say, those kitchen finds were great. I've never seen pots divided like that in my life ever before. I think they are amazing. I don't think pots like that can even be found and purchased anywhere. I love the white ceramic pot too..🥰 You are exceptionally good at cleaning stuff so if there is a way to bring the inside of that pot to being clean and usable you will do it. It's an exceptional pot and worth the effort.

Those old pans are nice BUT if they are aluminum I would not use them for cooking. Aluminum cookware has been linked to the development of Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.
It’s not worth risking your health to save a few $$ cooking a meal.
I love the old enamelware pot with its lid! The chip adds character to the pot. Hopefully you can get it cleaned up well. A good soak with baking soda and a soft scrub pad should help loosen up the burnt on stuff.

At the moment I’m more focused on selling off things that would help us save up for a big expense coming up and shifting things around the house to freshen things up without spending money. Rearranging furniture always tends to boost my mood during the days of winter that seem to drag on, along with a daily walk.

The 1/3 pans and half moon pans look so handy and thrifty! Are they stainless steel? It kinda looks like they're aluminium and I don't like to use aluminium cookware. I've only once seen something like these pans, but it was one big enameled pan that was divided into 3 on the inside and had one lid. So that's not that handy when it comes to draining your spuds is it! Thanks for showing us your finds Tess, and greetings from the Netherlands!
