Thank you for watching!! I’d love to hear what you particularly enjoyed!
Hello Brian! Thank you so much for this sketchbook tour! It's fascinating to see how you develop your ideas and experiment with different techniques and materials. I especially loved the architectural sketches with expressive lines and unconventional perspective. Also, the portraits at the 10th and 27th minutes of the video were fantastic; today I'm really into unique portraits. It's amazing how you turn random ideas into such engaging and unique works of art. Good luck with your creativity and new projects, and keep inspiring us with your work! Looking forward to your remake work eagerly!
Thank you very much for your feedback, Oksana! I’m glad you enjoyed the portraits - I do enjoy doing those especially if I can be a little bit “off-center” with things - perspective, color, proportion… exploring to see what can be done! Thank you so much for your continued support and I really look forward to a collaboration video soon! Yay!
@@BoruArt Yay! 🤩🎉 You're a magical artist and a wonderful person!
Hi Brian! This sketchbook tour was such a pleasure to watch! Be it all those whimsical houses, each one telling a story, or the drawings based on the messages on your answering machine, such a unique idea! I particularly like the artwork that you show at 5:57 , the tree with ovular houses...it is outstanding! It was also great to hear your thoughts behind each work . Thank you for sharing ! Subscribed for more such inspiring ideas!
So glad to have you here! It's encouraging to know that you enjoyed some of those Crank Call drawings! Haha! I have another video of those coming up sometime.... soonish? I hope? So many things to get to in the next few weeks... and that's a good thing. Thank you for your kind words and I'll be checking your videos too!
@@BoruArt Will sure be looking forward to those crank call drawings ! 😄 Happy painting 🖼
Your talent is incredible❣️
Your art belongs in a gallery! It’s incredible!
☘️🖖🏻🍀
You are too kind! Thank you so much! If there was a gallery of strange, I’d definitely be interested! 😂 (I saw your handle as Kitty Flanigan- and that was so strange because just last week I was looking up comedy bits by Kitty Flanagan - totally threw me for a loop! Nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by!!
There is something about creating intuitively that lets the viewer experience a different world, a different feeling, a different soul, dont know how to explain it but looking at your art gives me that feeling or emotion… wonder and awe. I also love the light you create in your pieces, the contrast is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing Brian, just a lovely sketchbook tour 💛
I also saw the skull and not the donkey at first, saw it after you said it was donkey lol 🤣
My favourite was the tree beehive 🤩
Thank you so much, Tamara! I'm glad that certain pieces stood out to you - I like the tree beehive thing too. I'd really like to do a full-sized painting doing something similar. Someday, haha! I'm very happy you enjoyed your trip through the pages!!
Wow! Your work is SO varied and just incredible! I love that you go slowly and walk us through your process, thank you!!! 😊
I’m very happy that you enjoyed the tour! I love sharing things that might be helpful - if you have any questions at all, please ask!
@@BoruArt thank you!!!

Thank you for watching the video and for taking the time to comment! I really appreciate it!!
Love your artwork and the whimsical toy at the end!!
Oh thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed that… that toy was pretty fun to make (and thankfully it worked on the first run instead of having to redesign it a dozen times🤣
Wow, Brian, so many wonderful drawings! I am particularly blown away by the musicians' head sketches. Also, love the Valentines mice (so cute!) and the aliens, the old man & the hatchling sketch is so lovely, the stunning work of color on black paper, the colored circle portrait... I love & admire your creativity and the variety of your art. I really enjoyed this sketchbooks tour! Thank you!
I'm so glad you liked it, Isabelle! You know, last night as I was scrolling some news items before bed, and thinking about a French music mix... I saw that Françoise Hardy had passed away yesterday - she was married and had a good relationship with Jacques Dutronc who is one of those musicians I drew. (and Hardy is in my list of 100 musicians I was going to draw.... may still do so...?) Anyway - thought of you as I read that - sad connection, but... yeah. Here's to six more months (for you too!!)
@@BoruArt Francoise Hardy passed away? that's sad. She and Dutronc were kind of an iconic couple in the 80s. I think you should still draw her, I mean why not?
That French music mix will surprise you, I think...
Oh yes, I have no issue drawing her! I think for my 100 Heads challenge thing I’m going to go with regular looking people - the exact portraits just take too long because I won’t let details gooooo, haha! But I may still do 100 Musicians too! She’s got an interesting look anyway which is one of the reasons I picked her up- plus…. She’s great. 😊
What an amazing sketchbook tour buddy! I think my favourite of your sketches has to be the houses , they are so illustrative and I could so see them in some awesome story books.. really do love your style, and the prank calls one too, I loved watching your video when you did that, it’s all so greatly put together. Another smashing video and thank you for showing us around your artwork see you soon matey x
Hey Johnny B! I'm glad you like the house sketches - I do enjoy doing those! I'll make sure to do a few of those again in the coming months. I'm really excited to do another Crank Call video (hopefully pretty soon!) - those are some of my favorites because it's usually a good laugh too. Thanks for checking out the video - really happy you enjoyed it!
Hi! I love your art! It's really neat! I particularly enjoy how you use color! It all goes so well together and it's very pleasing to look at!
Thank you so much, Reagan! It means a lot to me when someone enjoys my art - it’s humbling! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment! 😀
Very nice artwork ... Beautiful sharing 🎉🎉❤
Thank you for checking it out! One of these days I gotta try a leg painting 🤣
OMG I never saw the donkey until you mentioned it 😂 Loved your sketchbooks, cool stuff 😍
Haha! I'm so glad I wasn't the only one!! Thank you for your encouraging words, Nahima!
The "circulism" (sp?) Is OUTRAGEOUS!!! I'm sooo inspired to try it today!!!! Ive never seen it before!!🎉
Oh do try it!! It’s great fun! I have a couple sorta-tutorials on it if you wanna get more insight. Thanks for checking out the video!
@BoruArt oh I definitely will, thank you!!
wonderful drawings!
So glad to hear that! Thanks for taking a look! 😀
these are so good!! i love all of your drawing!! i hope i can understand perspective as good as you one day!
Oh thank you so much! I’m very glad you like the art, Emma. As for perspective… haha! Yeah, it takes some practice but it’s well worth it!
I really enjoyed seeing a recap (and some newbies!) here - and like the way that different 'projects' take you in different directions :) Some of my favourites are the distorted characters/caricatures and I'd love to see more of those! Having said that, I also like the random unpredictability of not knowing what's coming next and the hopping around too! :D Here's to another 6 months! (a zoetrope just popped into my head for some reason - think that's because of the mechanical 500 sub thing, and wondering what could happen at the next milestone! haha)
I’m so glad you’re comfortable with the unpredictable nature of my art… thing. Journey? Road-trip? Acid trip? I think the more “caricature” type drawings will probably happen because I’ve wanted to do that for a while now - and I invent faces and stuff but I do want to use real references to stretch. That’s a bit more pressure to “get it right” but I think that’s what I need to do to grow. I had to look up “zoetrope” haha!! I’ve seen those but I’d never attached a name to it… fascinating! Yeah, I could totally work on something like this… hm!! Ideas, ideas! Thank you for all your encouragement, Julie… I truly appreciate your friendship. Onward! Through the fog!
Great tour, Brian! I really love your quirky architecture drawings with their cool details and vivid colors. Your crank call project is so fun. Your various projects and explorations are inspiring -- love the creativity! I saw the chipotle bottle image as a skull until you pointed out the nostrils. 🤣
Man, I'm glad it wasn't just me on that hot sauce!! Haha! And it wasn't just a thing that happened once - I knew exactly what it was and I keppppttttt seeing the skull thing. Apparently I'm a slow learner!! Haha! And thank youuuuuu for participating in the crank call fest (shh!) and I have not abandoned that project - I'll be putting together another video with a fire marshal hopefully sometime soon - I've gotten a few people to add their voices to the mix, so, yay! Thanks so much for being there along the journey, Marcy - it means a lot to me.
@@BoruArt Yay! I'm looking forward to some more crank call festing 😃

@@BoruArtmy pleasure, thank you for sharing 🙂
id really like to see you draw howl's movie castle.
Oooh, I love that idea! You put something in my head - it might be fun to do a series of cartoon/anime buildings…. Hm!!
Hey, I thought I’d let you know that your comment about Howls Moving Castle stuck in my head and I just put out a video because of your suggestion! I couldn’t remember where this comment was, but I found it! Yay! Anyway… if you’re interested, the Moving Castle drawing video is up on my channel - thank you for the great idea!
