Yes. For religious purposes.
It’s about showing reverence for God! However I think the tichels are really beautiful and I wish Jamie would wear them because they’re scarves and come in a variety of colors and they’re just gorgeous when Israeli women wear them!
so I am a hasidic Jew and we wear wigs because when we get married it is a great mitzvah to cover up your hair
A lot of ultra orthodox women cover their hair when they get married, cause they like to keep their real hair private for their husbands. So they either wear wigs or scarves. Quite fashionable really!
