WOW...That looks amazing!!!! All of them were so cute on you too. Loved your final pick!
How is it you look so good in literally all of these wigs?? You look fabulous!
thanks! but we didn't show the wigs that didn't look good :P
I LOVE THAT SHEITEL!!!!!! You look amazing (:
You look fabulous in all of them! :)
I like how the freeda wigs are so stylish! I am used to seeing the same old page boy style bob on married orthodox women. Maybe it's because those are cheaper for everyday wear, and they keep their fancy sheitel for parties and stuff.
Love the new hair! You look great!
that's hysterical that you remember me from WNTW - I was on for literally 9 seconds!
Wow!!! Thank you for explaining the idea of wearing a wig vs. a head scarf, or tichel. BTW, do you ever wear tichels?
Oooh it's gorgeous!
So pretty! she looks so much better!!! Love it!
I was always Praying that this Channel be Matzliach and grow!
it depends on the wig. for my first wig, i used to wash it myself, add gel, and diffuse it on my head. for my second wig, i'd bring it in every few months for a wash and set. for this most recent one, b/c i do lots of speaking appearances and interviews i am getting it done more often to make sure it looks great on camera, but the style lasts for every day wear for a few months.
Love the new sheitel!!!
great vid, and nice sheitel
Wow how I would love a new look like that!🙏🏻😘
No!! For the majority of women who cover their hair, we still have our hair! It's a small percentage of Hasidic women who shave for mystical reasons, but it's not part of Jewish law.
Thank you. :))
I luv your new look and sheitel . :))
WOW ~~ I LUV YOUR NEW SHEITEL ~~ and your new look...
Thank you so much for sharing...
Enjoy...
Have a fun winter day...
Surie
HEY I KNOW YOU!!!! you're friends with Mayim Bialik! I a saw you on TLC with her! What not to wear! love your vids btw lol
really nice new look but the thinner wig with the bangs looked much more natural and practical for everyday use (I'm talking about the one you were wearing when you were discussing the point of hair covering)
love ur videos btw, keep em coming :)
So...do you wear a sheitl on your wedding day? Or starting the day after? Is it like part of the wedding prep? Going to pick out a sheitl like you do a wedding gown?
Love watching your videos. I learn so much, even for a Christian girl like myself! LOL I have a question about modesty and hair. Are you free to cut your natural hair in any style or length that you want as long as you cover your head when in public? For example, can you sport a cute pixie style at home with your family as long as you wear a scarf or sheitel when you are in the presence of others?
She is wearing a wig. Thats one of our employees. The color was originally a 6 but highlights were added.
@hoosiermama1009 glad you're enjoying them! yup - you can have any hair style and have your hair uncovered in front of your immediate family (or any women), though some women are stricter (i'm not) and cover their hair all the time.
new episode will be out soon!
How difficult is it to maintain your wigs? Washing, drying, etc.? Do you do anything special to them?
Very nice video, we enjoyed watching it ...
Beautiful. I am contemplating a wig. I wear a scarf. Are they hot?
most people don't wear a wig AT their wedding. once you get married, you keep the head piece in your hair, but starting the next day you cover fully.
the girl in the grey sweater who says "the colors perfect"... is she wearing a wig??? and if so, what is the color??
When are you going to make a new episode?
Yay!
lol I know thats why it was so hard for me to remember where I recognized you from. I NEVER foget a face lol
I am new to your web site and I have learned so much. I am not Jewish, but being from NY City I feel jewish cultural is all around me, and I want to understand more about it . I recently discovered that on my fathers side that there is Jewish heritage. This makes me even more curious and I am in a relationship with a jewish man. I love the idea of modesty and how certain things are not to be shown in public. I get so sad when I see young woman just letting it all hang out. I am shocked at how every summer I see woman almost naked and think how dangerous this is for them in a world where men will be men. Thank you for being so open and teaching us non jews what the idea behind the tradition are. It really is very beautiful and I have much respect for the Woman they are persevering the most scared thing , their beauty bodies and souls. Jewish or not woman should learn from this. Sincerely A wanna be jew from New York City. much love to you and your family.
jk kitzer: I am so like you, and feel the same way, exactly, only I'm not in NY. So, I thank you for this reply and for expressing your thoughts which mirror my own!
I would like to learn a bit more about clothing and Judaism. I would love to learn about how you seem to flawlessly appear so fashionably modest. How do you handle the heat in the summer? I also want to ask about swimwear. My whole live revolves around swimming/surfing for sport. I'd like to know if it is possible for orthodox Jews to be swimmers. I know they create extra modest swimwear but many of these suits seem nonfunctional for sport swimming and surfing.
when you have a team of makeup and hair people you can look flawless on camera! :) summer is not so bad as you can wear light clothing that covers the top part of your arms, a knee length skirt, sandals, and a bandana. in terms of swimming, it's true that modest swimwear is more cumbersome than a bathing suit, so another possibility is going to private beaches and pools.
I wanna wig.
thanks! looks like your tefillos are working! :)
Wow interesting
she is - you can go to freedadotcom and ask them - she works there
i actually wrote up a response to this exact question. please go to jewinthecitydotcom and search for "why don't orthodox men where wigs" :)
Hazak!
Why don't men need to wear wigs in Judaism?
בואו ותפתיעו אותי בארץ ישראל בבקשה
So you were raised secular? It is interesing you have turned religious. To one generation, abandoning religion must have seemed exciting & liberating. It must have made everything seem possible. It also makes everything seem meaningless as well. A superattending intellect governing the universe is needed to give our world a meaningful moral purpose.
