- Quick full build video and some dyno of my B20 vtec build.
Build list:
B20 block
B16 stock head
12:1 comp. pistons
ACL oil pump
Skunk2 Pro1 cams
Supertech retainers
Skunk2 Ultra street Intake manifold
70mm SpeedFactory TB
1320 headers and 3" exhaust
Competition light flywheel
Stock Competition clutch
All degreed and balanced
B16 Transmission (just new carbon synchros) non LSD
Tuned on Hondata S300 and 92 pump gas
With just a better cold air intake could of made more power but I'm happy with what I got.
Built not bought. More impressed watching you do all this than looking at a quarter million dollar exotic car. You got to have passion to do what you do. I always wanted to do this kinda stuff but bad choices messed me up. I hope i can do something with my teenager like this one day. Stay up bro and keep the good content coming.

Nice build 👌 I have1999 EJ B20 v tech with same build but am not having high compression pistons and returns with stock cam and LSD trans mugen MF 15 inch wheels , not dyno yet but I got nice build knowledge from your video 👍 next step I will do carbon fibre parts . am not finished yet my project but I want good ideas for the project
Not gonna lie i hope the build comes out good cuz it looks like you didnt do the torque sequence in the right order with the head and cam retainers.. but overall you did a great job bruh 💯💯

Those just a Crank Case Breather plugs. I used customs fittings for catch can. You can buy them on eBay.
People always trash b20v but I ran mine for years before I sold it , it’s probably still running . Just have to do it right . New rings bearings all clearances in proper spec with proper ring end gap and it saw 8000 rpm daily .

very nice build man, i bet if you tune the ignition for 100+ octane fuel you would get at least 240 on the wheels, i think with a 1:12 compression you are very limited with your ignition timing on 92 pump gas...
nice build, should last forever na. lsd next? maybe flex fuel set up for E85? 250whp no problem.
Really nice numbers, and a lot of torque. Got a b18c that makes 224 whp, but like 130-140 lb-ft of torque. Jealous of your torque figures.

Definitely the WHP I expected! You will have fun with it in the EG chasis. . I'm knocking weight off on my EJ Coupe. Pulled some hwy wins vs a couple K24 Si's already. The B20VTEC build is a solid platform for N/A. Power.

Tranny had bad sliders. The reason I rebuild it. You can watch transmission rebuild series in previous video.

Badass!!! looking to make that kinda power out of my GSR. Already have 12:1 pistons, S2 cam gears, looking to port and polish the head, 3 angle valve job, PLM long tube tri-Y header, 2.5" catback, no cat, looking to find out what else I'd need to make atleast 200whp

How long this engine can run safe for internals? Are sleeve and crank safe? I am very interested because i have a b20 but i wan't to crack anything
Stefano Fenu it’s not boosted so it will run forever. Even boosted will run forever if done correctly.
From my understanding B20s cylinder walls are very weak in the center of each cylinder hole BUT like dude said .. when done right it’ll last.. just not with a lot of compression and being able to beat on it. That’s why I went B18c ITR 81.50mm pistons manley rods , running stage 3 cams Ferrera valve Tran it’s good for 12.0.1 compression ratio

It won’t. You going to need B16 or GSR distributor. Must be Vtec one.

Im confused ive seen 2 videos ppl using this head gasket with the gray side up but ive seen 2 of your videos you using the head gasket with the grey facing the block. Witch way is the correct way im confused. Im using the same zerg industries 84mm head gasket on a b20b. block.

@@UNIQUEGrills going on my second time using this gasket now. First time i had a bad oil leak on cams side. But then again i put the gasket with the grey on top going off what honda street garage posted on there channel. I guess that was my issue on why it was leaking oil. Thanks bud gonna try it now the way u did it.

How is your distributor holding up revving to redline? Mine seems to hate going past 8k and the rotor screw has left me stranded multiple times.
Mine was holding up pretty good for a wile. I had a good luck with it.
Use a 8 m bolt from the fuse box that's in your engine bay. It holds up better and blue loc tite

my tuner maxed out my B20B type R head at 195 hp @ 7500 RPMs and it's drop hp at 8000rpm, is this normal?

Nice video I also got a all motor b20v making 221hp @8500 with a 68mm tb and a 2.25 catback. Cant wait to go 70mm tb 2.5 catback and 9k rpm to see how much more power to squeeze

hello friend, I'm at the end of my project where I have a high compression ctr piston, I'm having difficulty because the engine doesn't work, I don't know which injectors I should install? should i also use cam degree to delay the spark point? can you help me please..thanks a lot
Don’t need to mess with ignition. Stock injectors are fine to start but you will need Hondata or whatever you going to use and just add some fuel. With stock ECU it might not start.
Use stock cam gears for now.
@@UNIQUEGrills I have a stock p06 ECU, the hondata costs a lot of money, do I need a hondata to put turbo pistons that are low compression? I think that not derived the compression rate will be almost equal to the stock h
@@ricardosalgado1634 Stock P06 will not work. It’s a single cam ECU! You’ll have to chip it and tune it somehow.
Also get a wide-band or you can blow it up.
Going low compression still need to tune.

@@morreracingteam6004 DA has cable clutch and way cheeper option and works as easy as hydraulic.

My setup was :
B20b8 block.skimmed surface
2layer headgasket
Stock phk pistons with deeper valve pockets.
B16b cams
Ported itr cylinder head..
70mm works throttle body
Itr intake manifold bored to 70mm and ported plenums
S80 n3e Itr tranny & 4.4fd
Hytech 4221 with 2.5 pipe,bullet & spoon n1 muffler.no cat
H22a injectors
K20 coils. Tuned on chrome p27 chipped ecu.
Made 212whp & 20.5kg tq on dynojet
