Been carrying mine for about 8 months. Good so far. Looking at the TORO for the optic capability. By the way, the goofy little key chain has a flat blade driver on the bottom to use in the takedown slot on the pin. Good review. Thanks!
I just picked up the TORO version for $295 out the door. I also have a P365 and Shield plus. I prefer the GX4 trigger over both of those. But that is a personal preference. IMO, the GX4 a GREAT. Taurus really stepped up their game with this model.
They haven't made one for the GX4 model yet, so I put the one I had extra for the S&W M&P Shield 9mm / Ruger LC9, EC9, sku# 18400 on it and it fits. However the one made for the Hellcat fits better, I took the one I have on my hellcat just to check and it's a better fit, but of course I put it back on my hellcat.
Just got my GX4 Toro, love it! Went with the Toro in case later on down the road I want a optic. The little key chain is cool but you can just use the rim of a case to turn the release slot. Very much enjoyed your video!
Hey Dave, I appreciate you watching and later on if your looking for a budget Red dot, the one I used in the video wasn't all that great, I followed up this video with a short that has the Riton red dot or I recommend the Crimson Trace that's only if your looking for a budget red dot that works well.
I used the boiling water method and they haven't made hogue grip for the GX4 yet so I put the one I had extra for the S&W M&P Shield 9mm / Ruger LC9, EC9, sku# 18400 on it and it fits, now if you're going to use the extended backstrap then get the one for the G2C and it will fit
You should look into the Crimson Trace CT1550. It's a great optic and it's lightweight. Only cost about $120. I also bought a ported barrel from Lakeline, LLC and it makes a difference on the recoil. Love my GX4. I carry it in a VersaCarry hybrid holster. Kydex and leather. Awesome setup. I love it! Thanks for your video!!!
That Keychain is more than meets thee eye. It's the actual key to unlocking the slide. Btw did u ever take it to the range to zero it in? Great video btw. Much love and light my brother
Appreciate YOU! Glad to see you had reviewed this one. I must admit I am a virgin (regarding handguns) so I am researching my very first! I am looking at budget micro’s and I am torn between the Max 9 and the TORO. Which one would be a good starting point? (Reliability is most important to me). Thanks
Yeah between those two they matched up about the same. I think I shot a tad bit better with the Ruger Max-9 but the GX4 felt a tad bit better in my hand. But they both are good budget guns in my book. Taurus maybe a tad more reliable but they both are good companies. I appreciate the comment and I hope it helped.
