This guy is remarkable. No only does he program and run a C and C machine, which is remarkably hard in itself. but he is a machinist, metal guy, painter and so many other things. I love this channel and watch all the time. Love the Sheep!!!!!
Each part of the process is quite unique but for me, the stripping / blasting is the best. Watching the rust, paint and decals disappear and seeing all the details come to life in the metal form is amazing.
yes that's good but where's this van supposed to be from ?ive never seen a white and green rescue van before their always Red and part of the Fire brigade (uk) we don't Combine our Emergency Services the way America dose
Amazing how tabs were used for so much of the construction of this type of toy...even more amazing is that they don't break off in the vids I've watched. Pretty great stuff
From rust bucket to a first class restoration. The skill and hard work that goes into these restorations is outstanding in order to save these unwanted toys. Well done Chip
I give you loads of credit for all the time and effort you put in to restoring these forgotten gems. You're a master at restoration. I'm sure if these toys could talk they would thank you for giving them new life. Thank you for sharing your craft! You're the best!
It was nice to see the kitten doing its job and giving it the final inspection - it definitely passed as it was given the tail flick of approval. Great video, very proffesionaly edited, with a lovely, sympathetic restoration job.
Wow; that was an incredible transformation. I'm amazed at all the different measures you go through to bring the original piece back to being brand new. Great job and great video.
Remarkable transformation from what was a real wreck this one is a real credit to you and show your skills in restoration work. Kind regards John Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺
I have this truck, from my childhood. Still complete and rust free. It came with 2 ladders. One would hook onto the other. Thank you for posting your videos. You truly do amazing work!
Señor Chip... déjeme Felicitarlo. Y decirle Que Usted Es Un Exxxcelente Restauradorrrrrr muyyyy Profecional... Lo Felicito. From Venezuela. Luis.Morales. El El.Condor...!!!
Absolutely Amazing, your attention to detail is exceptional, wet sanding makes the paint look incredible. I like how you speed up the hammering and filing, Awesome. Another fantastic video. Thank you for sharing.
Great transformation! Watching this reminded me of an old VW Bug I bought about fifteen years ago, more rust than metal. I spent weeks cutting, shaping, welding and grinding to prep it for paint. Lots of work but I was determined to bring it back!
The final result is amazing! At first I had lowered my expectations, thinking that the rust and damage were just too much; but the entire process was fascinating.
The before and after is astonishing! One of the best transformations I've seen so far. I've read somewhere that you can use heat resistant tape for multicolor powder coating, that would make your life easier
I could do a better job than your restorations if I had the machines, know how and 100 years practice! Lol , your videos are hypnotizing! I watch a “hobbyist” watch guy and am equally amazed with you! I am riding through Nebraska in June and may knock on your door just to buy you lunch as a small token of appreciation!
Today I spent more than seven hours watching your videos, I can't stop wondering about the kids that played with them, all of them must have grandchildren if not great grandchildren by now.
Real awesome piece of work! Love all the tools you have to help get the job done. That was quite a wreck to start with but the results, and I'll say it again, awesome!👍👍

A couple of tips for you. If you weld to the body like you did this one, if you lay a piece of copper or aluminum under that area, the copper or aluminum will draw the heat away, and also won't let the weld burn through. A piece of flattened copper pipe could do that, and could be bent to the curvature of the part you are welding and give you a nicer finish. The other thing is, if you need to make window "glass", this could be done with 1/16th" polycarbonate. It can be cut with a saw, bent with some heat, and won't shatter like acrylic Plexiglas.
The before / after is amazing, I love the two-tone paint and you do things well since you replace the broken parts with a majority of second-hand parts and when you can't find them you rebuild them altogether
Amazing transformation. It's so satisfying to watch. 100% great job and also historical accuracy. It looks like a new one from the 60s. I love to watch this channel
Great work and awesome outcome. I probably would not have taken the painstaking task of wiping down the white coat from the edge of the green. You did great in getting it and have a lot of patience, I probably would have pin stripped in between both colors and called it a day. Great job
Great work and job to restauration this old rescue Van , very accurated and rebuild damages part and piece, replacement for old metal toys, model and best handwork to ricreate missing part, and fine painting stripping and job painting Amazing ,WITH a lot of patience and carefully the toys rusted come back again New!
It's great to see what new tools and techniques you are using now vs. 3 years ago. Like the CNC laser for metal parts.
Yeah, he's certainly come a long way. From simpler tools to metal lathe, CDC cutter, nice powder paint and a press. But with 3 million + viewers, 👌 👏
What's your kitty cat's name, So pretty

Why is watching videos of things being sandblasted so satisfying?
Each part of the process is quite unique but for me, the stripping / blasting is the best. Watching the rust, paint and decals disappear and seeing all the details come to life in the metal form is amazing.
Another Reason Why I Love coming back here is that I get to see you Restore Toy trucks and cars and bring them back to its original glory.
No annoying music, no talking, plenty of info,
beautiful shots, masterful work

I love the way he restores these toys. He even straightens tabs or replaces them! He cares about these old toys from the past.
I love the fact that you leave most of the sandblasting in instead of cutting away!

I just love how the siren sound was made. Such a simple and clever design.
I love that you use as many original used parts as possible and create your own when needed.
NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!!!!!
This was one extremely labor intensive restoration! It was so far gone, and you still brought it back!

So nice of you to do such awesome restorations for your cat's car collection.

Amazing... shows what can be done. I would have just busted that up with a hammer and put the debris in the scrap steel bin.
Una pregunta...los carritos que reparas los vendes.? y si, cuánto cuestan? saludos desde México
I never knew how wonderful those cars were until you restore d them and I could see what fun they were.
I audibly gasped when you vacuumed the sheep out, haha. Glad you let us know that the sheep was unharmed.
Oh my god! Using a little tow truck to tow the van is so cute!
I'm in awe of your skills. Great restores on all your models
I did notice the headlight flip. Great job restoring this. So many channels popping up where they destroy a new toy to make it look old

I love this stuff, better than anything on network television.

Great restore, as usual!
Beautiful restored example of the toy makers art.

Came here to say this, beautiful restoration but I can’t get past the line. Could’ve been so much sharper.
IIRC, it's called Kapton tape, and seems to be used in powder coating quite frequently.
@@secretgacha9914 I think everyone cringes at that part in the video.. I certainly did.

Great restoration! To avoid burning holes into the thin metal, I think autogenous welding instead of inert gas welding would be advisable.
Wow! That is awesome. Toys were well made. Today they are all plastic. I really appreciate the tow truck at the beginning. 😀
I think u need a city model where the cars can live their own life.
And the sheep, too.

When tracing small parts onto the metal, you can apply a glue stick to the back of the paper to hold it in place while you trace it.
