Absolutely LOVE the fact you have preserved the history of the kids that painted ‘Destroyer’ on the side ; and made it better , carried on their theme of an ‘end of days’ vehicle. My favourite resto ever - well done.
This type of very intricate work requires someone who is very detail oriented, careful, and patient. This vehicle would make a great display piece in an office or study. This is extremely high level restoration. Bravo!
Oh my god!!!! I completely forgot about those!!! Tonka's Steel Monsters. I had the Blaster and the Bomber... Oh man!! I missed those!! My neighbor had other 3!!! I didn't realize I recognized this until you constructed the roof armor... Thank you for bringing back wonderful memories!!!!
I had this truck as a kid, it was awesome! It was a pleasure watching you bring this old thing back to life. Probably one of the best resto vids I've seen. Came out better than when it was new.
I'm watching some old videos of your restorations AR and the half track is looking great. I really liked your attention to detail by adding rivets to the driver's canopy, I wouldn't have thought of that. Another great video AR.
I am 43 yo and this was my child toy I am pretty happy to see you bring back to life this one once again (the action figure was different) but the truck is the exact same nice work!!
Thought it was a normal truck for minings and carrying loads or some sort of a bulldozer, but damn! When you put it all together it was actually a killing machine! Awesome!
I knew there were supposed to be guns on the Destroyer!!! Mine never had them and I got it new as a kid.... Nice work! (Mine does not need restoration, but can use the guns... 😂)
That's a hell of a thing. I have some of the action figures Tonka made, but none of the vehicles. I have just ordered one from ebay. Great restoration! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍
excellent work! the most impressive part has to be the writings, wow! building the plastic cabin shows great dedication. this piece must be quite rare, and I had totally forgotten about it. honestly, I miss Tonkas, they re a part of America s history. they should have included figures waaay before this era. I was surprised that you found the guns and figure. it s funny how many toys act as prototypes of concepts. a half track dump truck for instance, quite cool! if I get my money, I ll be on the look out for a 50s piece for sure. they still look awesome as classic deco. as other comments, I agree that looking at you work is relaxing and satisfying. if you get bored, maybe picking a common piece could be funny converted as a mad Max 100% your artistic flair creation. keeping the rust and holes, adding spikes and chains. you have my total confidence, lol. good work!

👍👍Thank you so much for your compliment! You know the rivets of the this truck there were lot different from the ones I've restored before, there were several different sizes of rivets and it's not easy to find.
Fantastic! I have one of these in a box in the garage, that is only missing the guns and one of the treads. Amazing to see your resto on one that was that far gone. A tip for cutting the plastic, get a variable temperature hot knife. It's easier to make clean straight cuts without all the grinding. But wear a respirator some plastics such as ABS give off toxic fumes when melting.
@@jhonsiders6077 when I get around to fixing it up I will definitely do that, thanks for the heads up. I'm a GI Joe Fan/Collector and I snag stuff at Goodwill all the time for customizing or repair if it can fit Joes in it. This is truly a magnificent restoration. But not only that. Refurbishing/repairing the cargo box is marvelous. Manufacturing the armored cabin yourself is fine piece of work. Then reproducing the camouflage stripes and the name "destroyer" is top notch.
Yes, I like and will do it, but it’s not easy to find out the suitable monsters series for restoration, I am already looking for it. Thank you for your compliment and comment!!!👍👍🎉🍻
That's so cool 😎,I love half-tracks,especially when they have a couple of. 50 caliber machine guns mounted in a back & a flame thrower mounted in the back of them & it would've looked badass if you would've painted it black for Zombie attacks

Just a bit of advice from a very old metal fabricator, when drilling into steel (of any kind) slow is better than fast, when you hear that squealing sound the drill bit is not cutting it’s literally bouncing up & down off the material, the opposite is true of aluminum, faster is better! Just sayin🤷
