As an introvert, fame seems more like a nightmare than the fairytale it appears to be. People around you ALL the time is the deal breaker for me. It is enough to drive some of them mad, and I see how the promise of escape through drugs and alcohol looks like the answer. I would utterly hate the constant money driven attention… A person at the beginning of his fame once told me the press will spice comments, taking a comment from one interview and mix the comment among comments from another interview. He said they twist words out of context to inflame the public and other famous friends.
This is just one example of the deviousness in that industry.

there were paparazzi who literally planted cameras in his bathroom so they could get footage of him taking a sh** or a shower. remember those shots in videos of him running with military men? that was REAL. he literally needed military level protection at some of his concerts. people were bum rushing the stage, crying, fainting, having seizures, jumping off balconies... you name it. not to mention stalkers, people parachuting and sneaking into his estates. they harassed him day and night for years. there's groups of people to this day who actually consider him 'divine'. venerate him as a religious figure. believe he was literally the archangel saint michael. this is real. this is how obsessed some people became.

I would love to be rich but I would never want to be famous. I wouldn't be able to deal with people following me with cameras 24/7 and having to be photo ready at all times and watch everything I say and do because I tend to say what's on my mind a lot.
I prefer to do business and become silently rich without any fame because I dont play with my freedom and my peace period
I once was labeled rich and obtained fame from singing. It was the most miserable time of my life. The fame scared us all as the group pretty much trampled each other rushing out of the music store because someone recognized us and went crazy in the store. Back in my country, my mother used to be a quite famous model but with even more famous friends, and I remember one of her best friends that is a well know actress there knocking our door desperate because she went to a shopping mall and a bunch of people run to grab her, some pulled her hair, she fell on the pavement, we lived nearby, she was so distressed, in those days that was no social media or selfies and was already unbearable, I worked in tv production and because of my modelling past I got invited few times to be in front of the camera but that story and many other I heard was always in the back of my mind, I would love to have that kind of money, but I wouldn't cope losing my freddom or have people watching me 24/7 especially now that everybody got a camera in their pockets

Having worked with some of the big names I found them to be nothing more than dull, uninteresting, talentless shills who would sell their Grandmother for fame. They so relied on the creative talents of their, P.A's, managers and agents to make them even remotely interesting and the disappointing looks on their fans faces after meeting them was priceless.

I use to live in New York. Ive waited on famous people, danced at bars with them, casually walked past them and never have I seen them mobbed. I’m not saying they’re never overwhelmed by people but it’s not as ridiculous as videos like this make it sound. For some reason everyone forgets that celebrities are just as human as the rest of us - do you really want to know the reason? Part of it is you, actually, for daily calling them queens and kings, and gods and goddesses; for shoving them down our throats as showering them with compliments of how gorgeous and wonderful they are, when just as said, they are only human with the very same flaws. It's unreasonable to expect that celebrities can't have limits or boundaries. Working toward fame means that a celebrity wants to be known and admired. It doesn't mean they want to be sabotaged, stalked, or assaulted.
It's important to remember that there are no perfect lives. Everyone has stress, no matter who they are. There are good things about fame, of course. But never wish for someone else's life, because it's never as easy for other people as we'd like to believe.

Most people know what it feels like to have someone want to take a picture of you when you don't want them to. Imagine that but times a thousand, everyday. I can see why it would be uncomfortable to be followed and have pics being taken of you, and have those photographers yelling things at you. Its unnatural and invasive.

This is why celebrities world wide love coming to New Zealand. We leave them alone. I've seen many in my time. Airports, restaurants, supermarkets, bars. They are allowed to go about their daily business here without being harassed. A famous band member lives in my hometown and his children have spent the majority of their lives here.. Not once have I seen him or them being taunted, harassed, yelled at, abused or chased after demanding autographs or asked stupid questions just to humiliate them or him merely to get a reaction. Paparazzi laws in America are ridiculous and down right criminal. Even children screaming and crying and continually pestering these celebrities and then having temper tantrums when they don't get what they want. How is this helping our society as a whole when young children feel so entitled and don't understand the word 'no' when it's directed at them? What are the adults in their lives teaching them? After watching this video, I really feel sorry for the celebrities now, as they are harassed and dehumanized to being a slave/object for making money. The celebrities have rights to privacy, respect, and peace too. Paparazzzi and the public really need to leave the celebrities alone so they can have a peaceful life with their family and friends too.
Think of what happened to Princess Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed. If there was no paparazzi harassment, there would not have been a high speed chase that became fatal for them. Doesn't anything change since 1997?
Even though their lives might not be peaceful, some celebrities and super wealthy are almost never in newspapers, magazines or on television. IMO the ones that are, aren't looking for peace in their lives unless it increases their followers.

I agree that paparazzi needs to chill a bit but most of the time celebrities call them and let them know where and when they are going out. As far as the public, we kinda finance their lifestyle, they work for us (don't take it harsh but it is true).

Growing up I realized way too many child actors eventually ended up addicted to drugs/alcohol then committed suicide. Sadly this has only continued.
Aside from that I never liked children being used in horror movies AT ALL, nor did I like them playing controversial roles and or those which included foul language.
