Please join me in welcoming Professor Thomas Seyfried. Professor Seyfried teaches and conducts research in the fields of neurogenetics, neurochemistry, and cancer.
In this interview, Professor Seyfried and I discuss the origin of cancer and the difference between a cancer cell and a normal cell. He explains how mitochondrial damage from various sources plays a major role in the development of cancer.
Conventional methods to manage and treat cancer focus on hereditary aspects, and chemotherapy and radiation as treatment. Professor Seyfried describes cancer as a side effect of mitochondrial damage. When cell respiration is damaged by a carcinogen, cancer is a side effect.
Professor Seyfried explains that 1600 people are dying of cancer each day, largely due to a misunderstanding of the disease. Traditional methods of treatment wreak havoc on the body. To prevent and manage cancer, he insists that you must starve cancer cells of glucose and glutamine.
The ketogenic diet can be an incredibly useful tool in the management of cancer because tumor cells can not use ketones.

Legitimately taking notes! So many of us didn’t want chemo/radiation but did not know where else to turn. I suffer from that damage daily. I am thankful to be alive but my GI tract will never function properly after my 2008/2009 chemo. I spent 10 years on Tamoxifen & 5 years on Arimidex. Now I’m 56 with no estrogen and a hoard of other problems. BUT, what I do have is new knowledge for the future. Thank you!

I take Mebendazole but it is not the one to shut it down ie. Press and then Pause like Prof says to do. I just ordered DON on line and am going to do 4 injections one month apart to Press down and then Pause up. My PC and my PSA jus flatlined now after only 7 weeks all in on the Keto Metabolic Diet with intermitted fasting and taking 1 500mg of Mebendazole but crush it to a powder and always eat fat like avocado and bacon before you ingest it so it works in your body. I take one Ivermectin 2 times a week as well. My Results of my CT/PSMA Pet Scan yesterday showed all gone except 1 iddy biddy lesion on the bone that can be zapped a tiny bit with radiation if it does not die and at the worst I can take Lupron shots if I have to to rid it 100% but if my PSA keeps flatlining, i will just watch it now.

Barring DON and other glutamine reducing drugs under development, there is fasting. Or more realistically, "intermittent" fasting.
Fasting reduces glutamine, iirc. I've heard talk about 18 hour fasts for beginners, then 1 day a week, etc. Obviously the limit to this is starvation! But that would take many weeks!
An effective Keto diet of about 50 grams carbs, and 5 grams sugar will reduce serum glucose to the point where the tumor cells are "hungry", and their remaining fuel of glutamine can be reduced by intermittent fasting. A kind of a "one, two" punch to stop tumor growth, and possibly reverse it.
The immune system needs glutamine though, so fasting should generally be intermittent. I hope I stated this correctly.
This is what I remember from Dr Seyfried's interviews in other videos.
The key to developing will power for me, was getting off sugar. This resulted in more willpower to reduce carbs, and now I don't feel so ravenously hungry for the high carb, sugary crap I used to eat. May try fasting next!
