It took me 9 minutes to realize someone was behind you. 🤙🏻
I paused the video to see if anyone else had commented this!
lol
Idk why but I had to turn around just incase
me too
Same hahahaha
The way that Amira handles the highlights is beautiful.
I know... I was like damn..
he's definitely got some diffusion in front of the lens. you can see the filter in the matte box. looks like either a BPM or glimmerglass
I was looking at that the entire video
It‘s a filter not the camera...
@@kidcoma1340 well the roll off and dynamic range are certainly a big part of it, but the diffusion, too, of course
Super grateful for this! Thanks for making!
Super informative! Footage looked great, I’m sold on the easy rig now. Can’t wait
Great Video Glad to Have you Back, Have been debating Moving Up to an Easy Rig.
Great info mate! Just ordered my first Easyrig today - looking forward to using it, Cheers!
Super helpful man. Great video. Just got a Red recently and needed to know how the setup would work. Just what I needed.
Thank you so much for this video. Great instructions
Really helpful tips. Thanks Evan!
Awesome video, great for preparing for this sort of setup
Got so much out of this. Thank you for sharing. Feeling way more confident about using my easyrig.
Super thorough video! I really appreciate all the insights! Thanks!
Great video, Evan!
I love how simple this video is
Thanks!
Great info, thanks for that !!
Some great tips, helpful demonstrations - fantastic all around, thank you for the info!
This is the best easyrig video I've seen! Most videos are reviews of knock offs by people who have never used one. Thank you! (I just bought a knockoff at goodwill... but this will get me started!)
Nice one Evan, very informative!
Great video Evan!
Really like this demonstration - some great tips on shooting handheld.
Thanks!
Great tips, thanks!
Great video! I'd love that Kong S2!
thank you for making this! really helpful!
Thanks for the tips!
Very cool! Thanks!
The easyrig does influence the feel of the shot. It keeps your hand held results within the range of cinema is how I would put it.
That was super useful thanks!
Perfect video!!
Excellent video. Thank you very much for sharing :)
Just picked up a Vario 5 yesterday. Wanted to say thanks for taking the time to do this.
Picking mine up tomorrow!
Zanin Lindsay the ErgoRig looks absolutely amazing too!
Really helpful video, thank you. Helped my technique when renting the Vario, and I've just bought the Minimax, which is changing my shooting style in a good way. Thanks Evan.
Glad to help!
Can't wait to get this VARIO 5 for myself.
Super helpful. Great video man.
Very educating, thank you very much
Great instructions! thanks for sharing. I would be interested to see this rig with ronin or similar. cheers
Great video! Subbed right away 👌🏼
Thanks. Review is good
very very good advice
Very nice review and useful tips. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
So good!!
i find a cheap one : goo.gl/QHfgqw
Great video. Really interesting. We are considering putting our Red on it together with a Ronin 2. We are a bit worried about the weight of the whole setup though.
Cool video. I often prefer the handheld look, so this is an investment I have to make soon.
Hey Evan, very informative!
Could you explain what you mean by big camera setup vs a small one? Like where are the thresholds?
I am a new RED Scarlet-W owner and am in the process of rigging it out with the production module and other accessories. I'm looking at the Minimax in terms of price but also have the same philosophy of buying the equipment that will last.
Very nice! Your image looks amazing, did you had any filters on your matte box?
Just got my EasyRig and tried walking with it... LOL! Needless to say my first thought was "i need to look up how to walk with this thing"... I guess it's just going to be more of a portable weight stand for my Ronin because I can't set that thing down so at least the easyrig can hold it for me when i need to rest my arms. i'm sure i'll get better at it though. the easyrig feels very well made for sure!
great video. i have some problem with my ronin gimbal on it. i have a rig with a serene but there is a bouncing when iam walking . so for up and down movements, maybe a steadycam is the better choice. but love handheld stuff with a easyrig.
When the guy is good doing what he does, he can Run and Gun even with an Arri. Great Video Evan. Great video! Thank you.
And nice flip flops kkkkk
Thanks for this video. Could you spell out the name of the clip you're using with the EZrig? I couldn't quite make it out when you said it.
Which filter are you using on the Amira? I dig it.
looks like 1/2 black promist
Great Video. Thanks! What is your tip shooting on a gimbal with it? Walking with it would make it worse, right?
What filters were you using in the matte box? Nice look! Thanks
Nice tips Evan, and looking forward to the next video on hard and soft light layering 👍
incredible video. Thank you for. break down :)
Glad you liked it!
would love to see the footage, right now it looks like the room is completely full of fog.
Other than that very instructional video. thanks for the tips :)
Nice socks !
What handle do you use? You mentioned a sliding handle but I can't seem to find one.
Hi awesome video, I just received my easyrig mini max with stabil light arm, I understand that the top arm needs to be in the “middle” balance holding the gimble+camera, but what about the back knob that controls the rope tension, what is the proper amount of tension of the rope? Are you supposed to let the rope be loose enough so the camera drops slightly? Or super tight? please help and thank you
So I've used both an actual easy rig. And I own a flow line from pro. Rig, which would be considered one of those knock off brands and honestly. The easy rig is a lot more comfortable. However, the flow line still gets the job done. And it does so for a fourth of the price. And it is built like a tank. The longevity wise you're probably gonna get 2 years out of it. Versus an easy rig, which I know. Some people who have been running the same easy rig for 5 years. So if you're broke right now, but you're using a heavy a** Rig that you need to get some support for right now. But you don't want a stomach, you know? Renting an easy rig for 70 or $80 a day. Every time you have to shoot, it's perfectly reasonable for you to go for something like the flow line. Or something else? However, at the end of the day, if you have to choose between the two and budget is no option, then of course pick the easy rig
Hey, if i Buy the easyrig minimax on teltec for round about 900$, do I need any other stuff? Or can I use it directly? And can I use it then with my ronin 1?
Is there some type of soft filter in the lens that you used? The shot looked soft and beautiful. i thought your lens was dirty or something.
Is the serene very useful for handheld ?
What length arm extension do you have? 5 or 9 inch or standard?
Nice Helix
This plus a Onewheel is a serious rig.
Is it possible to know what lens do you have on your camera? Thanks.
Sorry to inform you, your little Vox solid-state amp in the corner has nothing to do with the huge Vox tube amps from the 60s. The only similarity is the gold logo. :-) But, you are doing a great job. I will look for an EZ Strong as my gear is not so heavy. Thanks for the info!
If you have a Ronan MX, do you need a Proaim 2-Axis Equalizer ?
Thanks for the video. Can you easily pull off the barrel or is it recommended to have a follow focus with an easy rig? Trying to visualise the orientation and whats the least awkward position for the wrist.
I'd say it depends on the lens more than anything - stills lenses I tend to pull off the barrel, cine lenses I tend to use a FF.
@@ebourcier thanks. What about the fuji cabrio 19-90, have you tried that?
Sensei! I need your opinion. Do you think quick release of easyrig is secure enough? Or should I stick to the normal clip? S2 clip seems to be no longer available so I'm torn between normal clip with kong frog or quick release system easyrig offers.
same question, which locking system did you get ?
HAHAHAHAH 8 minutes until I saw the girl on the sofa HAHAHAHAHAHHA Great video matte
I've been using it for about a week and can't get comfortable wearing it. I keep putting way too much strain on my back. I've adjusted every which way, and I just get fatigued after an hour of use. What tips do you recommend? I use a tilta advance rig/ronin 3 Pro with an external monitor.
nice. more power to handheld look :]
i find a cheap one : goo.gl/QHfgqw
DigitalFoto Solution what is this link? The real address is hidden..
do NOT click that link!!!! idk what it is but don’t trust it!
Have you done the give away?
Where's the link for the clip?
what camera r u using it’s beautiful
Looks like an ARRI Amira
Got any tips for walking backwards, while to people in front of the camera walk towards it and talk to eachother?
Peter van der Ham while wearing this, have someone behind you as your eyes basically guiding you where to walk while you’re just paying attention to what’s infront of u
Or turn the camera backwards and have your monitor in front of you. Move forward.
Headroom lacking or crop?
Bro, i thought your furniture was moving in the background untill you moved out the way to see Charlot
I adore those socks
Isn't better to use a steadycam with a stabilizer arm?
Are you asking this on every easyrig video 😂? These are for different things.
I forgot you existed for a hot minute, dope video though
i had a supamod "easyrig" which was just 800usd with the "serene arm" and on the last job the rope just cracked. I will now get the easyrig. Not sure if the minimax is enough for my setup. Because i have a RED Scarlet-W and want to buy some cinelenses. But i like to travel light and small.
But one question. What filter do you have in there while filming. Some kind of Black Promist? because the highlights glow so nice.
ZEBRAWORKZ he posted on instagram, bpm 1/4
this is just handheld with extra steps
just kidding, looks great
Great video: until 1:51 when you reached down to pull the cable the easyrig was invisible: you wearing black and no light light shining on the device didn’t help for the demonstration. Informative none the less
Hey....
Cheapskate over here... just to drop off some testimony.
Watched your video because I got one of those Chinese knock offs to mount my camera... All was well and good. until I watched your video, learned how to operate the guy (great info btw), and shortly thereafter realised that the cable on mine started to fray... Thank GOD it went bust after only a couple test shoots... It's already been approved for returns and as soon as I get the money I'm gunning for the MiniMax.... which btw... do you have any input on?
Lesson learned.... Easy Rig was not something I should've cheaped out on.... damn it...
Oh boy sorry to hear that! Glad the camera was ok (I assume). I used to have a mini strong before the vario, had no complaints! I'm sure the minimax is great.
Evan Bourcier thanks for replying!
And duly noted! I can’t wait to join the easy rig family!!
Do a 4 year update
Update: got in shape, sold my easyrig, shoot straight chaingun on an FX9 most days now :)
hallo cavin how are you
What kind of camara is that , is a huge camara
ARRI Amira
Proaim is the same
Are u lookin to invest in a steady cam or is not relevant enough
Is your sister Emily Clarke lolol
Get to the damn point...jeez, why do people always do intros and expository material???
Wearing a cap indoors is disrespectful take it off.
Alucard Hellsing disrespectful to who in what culture lol?
i find a cheap one : goo.gl/QHfgqw
You telling a person what to do in their own home is actually the only disrespectful thing happening.
You seem fun at parties
