    Great video, nicely done Tyler. Here's some comments I'd like to add:
    - The GimbalRig vest now comes with Easylock (ratchet belt buckle system), it provides a lot more support now, and it's more comfortable!
    - The "Standard" and "+130/5in" arm is better if you want to shoot from your shoulder. It was originally made for shoulder use. The STABIL arm is lockable in 90 degrees.
    - When ordering an Easyrig you can choose if you want the standard camera hook like you have or the Quick Release.
    - The EasyTilt attachment when working with gimbals takes the system to another level!
    - You can raise the power pack another 5 inches to get the camera/gimbal even higher.
    If anyone have questions, we're glad to answer them via E-mail.

    Nice! Been thinking about getting the Easyrig MiniMax. I shoot with the BMPCC 4K and 6K. That seems to be ideal and a good price point.

    Oh man, killer video. The price seems expensive up front. But in twenty years time and you have back issues it’s would be a drop in the bucket.

    great video!!! it was really helpful watching you manipulate camera height and position with the easy rig on, and that clip with the gimbal, was rally interesting. Makes me think it would be a "must have accessory" for a regular gimbal operator, cuz you could combo the gear rental, move faster, and focus your energy on shot precision and repetition, vs. camera support and endurance. I'm curious, as I've aged, when I'm not working I sometimes wear a back brace to keep myself from bending incorrectly, much like a squatter at the gym, does the nature of the belts and straps on those rigs help you maintain a healthy posture while you're shooting? If so, that is significant added health and longevity value.

    • @TylerBedgood
      @TylerBedgood  3 года назад +1

      Fitz! This is an excellent question. I have never tried a back brace so I cannot speak to if they mimic that function. I can say that I do pay way more attention to my posture when I wear these rigs. I think it just has to do with feeling them on my body. It makes my brain pay more attention to how I'm positioned. So then when I am thinking about that I correct my posture pulling in my pelvis and tightening my stomach to straighten myself out. I have this weird tendency push out my stomach and curve my back inward when I operate or even just in general and I know its not good for me. Having the belts on these rig does help straighten that a little. Does that answer your question a little I hope?

    I really want to see a video of reviewing the underslung attachment. I don't own a gimbal (just a steadicam system) so the ergorig looks like it would be a better fit for me. The difference for me came down to purchase cost of the vario 5 vs the minimax weight capacity not being future proof. Ergorig seems like it's a good middle ground on cost when considering weight, im just curious how people like the underslung kit.

      Yes, I would love to do a full deep dive into the undersling attachment! Maybe I can get one, one of these days.

    Hi i have a question. when the camera is resting on your shoulder what ever vibration due to operations( like running on a rough patch) are taken care by the shoulder, i mean shoulder acts as cushioning and counters the vibration to some extent. but here the camera is resting on a metal part where the body vibrations are directly transferred to camera . whats your say on this? thank you

    • @TylerBedgood
      @TylerBedgood  3 года назад

      Hello Nuthan, great question. The answer is complicated. Sometimes you can tell. Maybe if you make a quick uncalculated movement. But the same goes when the camera is on your shoulder. If you are running its not noticeable because it's bouncy no matter what. Even though your shoulder acts as a cushion its not that much of a difference when it comes to a lot of movement like running. As for walking or slow movments its the same as on your shoulder. If you have practice and have a good slow walk. Heel to toe soft steps. Then you are good. Haven't noticed an issue. And I promise, no one in your audience will notice anything different. Put your health first my friend.

      Do you still use a traditional vct shoulder pad with it? Thanks!

    • @TylerBedgood
      @TylerBedgood  4 месяца назад

      I don’t. You don’t really need one. I use a Coolux rig and keep it in its locked position when I use it with my ergorig. I do prefer to keep a shoulder rig on the camera though for those times where I have to get a quick shot and don’t have the time to put on the ergorig.

    Easy rig I see often on union sets and as a rental option at camera rental houses. I'd say if you get an easy rig it'll pay for itself if you subrent or post on sharegrid.

      You got a gaffer or grips or an ac? You gotta swap your own lenses or change your own batteries? You moving through a lot of door ways or homes? Go with the ergorig if you have to manipulate the set or get into cases a lot. Go with the easyrig if you have people doing all that stuff for you and your only job is operating. Don't forget to stretch. Daily.

      Yes! I took the sale photos the same time as the beauty shots for the video. I'm sad to sell it but unfortunately I do not use it enough to justify it's cost. Wish I could keep both! Let me know if you are interested. Edit: grammar.
