This is one of the best videos you’ve done. Makes me want a Potato Jet Podcast.
PotatoCast!!!
3 hours podcast like "The Nine Club"
@@ShawnKoh or Pod jet
ultimately that's what creators settle for. these guys know how to create stories with photos and videos ( great to have acquaintances and friends who share your passions ) . at this point a podcast is irrelevant. then again this video is a podcast with more energy.
FACTS !
Imagine him being in a room with Dre and Dre just goes "Man im nervous..." and Jerry answers "Yeah man me too, i forgot to press the record button"
🤣🤣🤣
What a great story and perspective. Thanks all!
Jerry, Gene and Sam have inspired me to create a continuous documentary RUclips channel, about my sick and suffering father who is a Great Story teller, Saddle Maker, Leather Crafter and Businessman. He now helps me in his retirement with my small leather goods shop. I want my Dad to make and teach how to build leather goods while intermixing telling his many interesting, funny and serious life stories. I also want to document the last year or so of the day to day exchanges we have in order to capture the time I have left with my beloved Dad. I want to give, seek and receive support from others who will share their stories with me about loved ones who don't have a lot of time. I believe an amazing exchange and support family could be created to help us all. You Tube has that power to reach many like me and can help us all. Thank you Jerry, Gene and Sam your video is proof of this power.
Thumbs up if ya'll want Gene to start a Podcast called PotatoCast!
Hells ya!!!
Retweet.
Tater talk.
@@donprice8925 haha took me awhile but i got it hhahaha
@@ShawnKoh I don't get it, please explain
This has to be the most interesting and fulfilling interview I have ever seen
Wow, you have come a long way and really are missing your calling
Thanks so much & Best regards, rick
totally agreed!!
While I was watching I was thinking the same thing: unusually funny and smart and fun. Thanks Gene and Jerry.
he has another one from months ago. Check this out too. That was so cool too!!
Rick Vestuto rightttt?
My thoughts exactly. I would like to see more of this.
I love this interview watched it all the way through. Most memorable thing said, "The camera is a tool learn how to work ur tool." 10,000 hr expert. Wow! This was powerful!
This has held true for me! My Canon m50 markii is looking reaaal fine because of this reason. Even compared to the fs7 markii that my friends were shooting on!
@@ezrarichardson279 facts I have the first Canon M50 and I've learned how to shoot with it better
I got so much out of this discussion! You should do more content like this every once in a while!
THIS WAS AMAZING. I love all your videos but what I love is your desire to connect, learn from and expose us to other creators making waves and laying paths in this industry. Thanks Gene
Dang, such a great interview!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
@Isaiah Marvin instablaster :)
@Jamal Rene Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out now.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Jamal Rene it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out !
@Isaiah Marvin no problem :)
Never find myself capable of sitting down to listen to a whole podcast like this. But the topics and discussions were top notch, great content.
Wow! I really enjoyed this. Thank you 👏
These interviews are easily some of my favorite content on your channel. Keep em coming! Super cool to get an inside look on what industry professionals are doing, how they do it, and most importantly why they do it.
I've been watching you for a while and I love al of your videos. This is probably my favorite out of all. I'm about 15 minutes in and feel as though I've learned so much just by listening to you all speak and share knowledge. Most definitely keep this up man.
This was probably my favourite video of yours in a long time. I hope you keep heading in this direction -- everyone does camera reviews!
I clicked on your video as I usually do and was expecting a killer tutorial or review in typical hilarious Potato Jet fashion. I didn't get that.. What I got was a late night style, 2 camera, Sam as a co-host, off to the side, awesome interview.. You nailed this one and you can't go back now. 🔥👍🏽
My favorite ep. yet! I love the interview with Jerry Henry. Love hearing his perspective on docos, the people he shot and his attitude towards projects and cameras.
2:25 "Have you heard of the Pangolin?"
Me in 2020: Oh you have no idea....
lol
Exactly my thought ... hahahahahahah!!!
I thought the same haha
This has to be the realest video on RUclips.Jerry sounds very humble and answered a lot of questions that I always question myself on. great information and behind-the-scenes information was so dope
Such a brilliant and humble person ! "Everyone has as a story !"
Can you please please please do more camera person interviews, just loved this, it was like reading a good book, couldn't put it down, thank you!
That South Central story though 😂😂😂😂 brother has some good stories. Loved this set up felt like we were kicking it around a fire cracking some beers. Good stuff Potato Jet and Sam.
This couldn’t have come at the more perfect time! I am starting to research documentary filmmaking and planning one for next year. Thank you so much for doing this!!!

I like this guy. Getting inspired advice toward the end.
have him back again, would ya!
Dud Gene this is great! This guy has done most of my favorite doc's! Have him on more often. or follow him on a shoot!
Great video. I have always described documentary film making like creating the clay for a sculpture before you sculpt the statue. It's very organic and a labor of love.
This! Do more of this! Videos like this one are gold!
More please. Great change of direction with this interview!
Absolutely great! Good post. Thank you.
Totally loved this one! Such a great interview. I would watch more of these.

This was freakin' awesome! Thank you Gene & Sam for a snippet into Jerry's story.
True Life, Made, Exit Through the Gift Shop, he’s worked on so many things I’ve enjoyed, and I had no idea
Jerry Henry! Congrats on the success man. Words of wisdom. Go Bruins!
This is a phenomenal sit-down man. It’s really really good. I love how y’all guide and get out of the way for him to glide. His stories and how he tells them. So good. Reminds me of The Combat Jack Show. Please do more. I am Cameroonian creative (living & working in Cameroon ) and a huuuge hip-hop fan. It’s like this episode was made with me in mind. Please do more. Phenomenal job.
Jerry Henry! 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'! It was fantastic... now I want to go watch the rest of your work.
I'm new to this all and stumbled upon this interview and i'm all in. This was EPIC and really inspirational. Gonna start shooting and building a catalogue
Oh man, that's awesome. I love Exit Through The Gift Shop
A member of our congregation was the primary videographer for David Suzuki's series The Nature of Things. How memorable a career that must be. It was so rare to have him at home, mostly all over the world covering wildlife. He was a real gentleman too.
Mannnn Exit Through the Gift Shop was sooo good. One of my favorite docs ever. Can't wait for Potato Jet/Bansky colab...
I definitely love to see another Documentary related video like this! Great job potatoe❤️❤️
I started this a year ago. Now I'm starting to plan a doc & finished this video. Great info!
This was exciting for me because I’m currently shooting my own documentary using a Canon M50. I absolutely love how this video was put together!!! Thank you, you have become my go to camera channel

Excellent! Jerry is the man, thanks for bringing him to my attention.
Please do more videos like this. This is amazing.
this was the best watch so much useful tips for our productions thank you guys
"I don't know anything." "It's fine. It's easy". Always amusing when dealing with folks who have been doing something well for so long they don't really recall that they too had a (likely long) learning curve until it became 'easy'. Reminds me of when I was skiing for the first time and I was asking my friend who was 'teaching' me how you turn and his answer was "you just swoosh". Of a hard core gamer teaching someone entirely new and they don't even think about the fact that they have to go back to start with teaching people how all the buttons on the controller works and that just that piece could take weeks to become somewhat functional in using them without thinking about every single action.
Really fascinating!!! Thanks for the lessons and the discovery.
Extremely interesting. Please do more. The interest grew when Sam participated in the conversation with his insightful questions. I really like the advice Jerry gave about shooting the audience reaction first, which I image he is inferring grab the emotional response that pulls the viewer into the story. Love this interview and it definitely was NOT too long. Could have listened for another hour.
I enjoyed this a lot, I've watched it 3 times already... Thank you.
