Absolutely incredible, this is what sponsored videos should be!
Was it a sponsored video!? I didn’t even notice!!🤯
I knew National Geographic filmmakers were hardcore but hanging from a rope hundreds of feet in the air trying to record a documentary with 60lbs of gear while getting stung by bees is absolute nightmare fuel! 🤯
I got nothing but mad respect for these folks.
Interviewing and experiencing wildly different filmmakers' processes and playing with their gear is what I always loved most about this channel. Can never wait to see more of it!
Gene out adventure filmmaking makes my heart happy! Couldn't have gone with a better soul either. Renan is the real deal, thrilled you two got out together.
Damn I love that you go against the grain of all the rest of the RUclipsrs at time and really bring something new to the table. All the other pleabeans talking about insta360 go 3s, here is gene & team risking his life to give us life lessons in real world filmography. Freaking awesome!!
Renan is a legend. Him and Jimmy Chin have a solid hold on the majority of nature, outdoor branded/doc scene but they absolutely earned it through years of putting in the time. Thanks for making this video.
Whoa! A video I did not expect to see from Potato Jet but one that I totally needed! Awesome work once again Gene
As a Moabite this is one of my fav videos of yours. thanks for the fun journey! Rip that ND
Dude, I absolutely loved this! It's like a mini documentary documenting documentary filmmakers.
Fantastic video!!! Great to see a real story on youtube and not just attention grabbing garbage. I'd watch a sponsored video like this any-day!
Loved this! Renan is a huge inspiration and one of the best to do it. Glad you guys got to hang out and pick his brain a little bit.
I've followed Renan for years, he's the OG. I was so stoked to see what he brigs to work. Maaad respect for both of y'all.
Seriously an incredible and incomparable video. Can't think of anything else done near as well. Very visually arresting!
Well done to you all!
Amazing video! Thank you for taking the time to make such a cool sponsored video. Definitely high effort but worth it.
Would love to see a wildlife documentary filmmaker in the future if that is in the cards!
Potato jet is by far the best filmmaking RUclipsr. Period. And also, such a nice and sweet guy. An absolute gem!
That was fantastic. Renan is definitely one of my all-time favorite extreme filmmakers!
I love your doc work, Gene! Definitely like this format ✨
I will not be dangling my Burano from the side of a mountain or skyscraper, but I'm glad Renan is out there doing it. Great video, Potato Jet!
This was Awesome! Great to see the Burano in a positive light, being used in real world situations (even in extreme locations) rather than all the negative BS abut rolling shutter and IR issues. Really nicely captured. congrats
Wow!!! Incredible video and so much wisdom from Renan. I'd never thought a filmmaker would be climbing cliffs with a Burano, but this video proved it!! Well done Potato Jet!!!
One of my favorite videos! Love the topic, love the storytelling. Absolutely great
this was the best episode yet, god damn!! so cool to see, thank you for sharing!
The physical and psychological resilience required for this kind of work is next level
This was soooo good, engaging from start to finish. Would have watched it even 2x longer. Have followed Renan for a long time and so happy to see him on this channel.
This video was definitely amazing. A great class , learned a lot but also get more appreciation for how hard Renan works to get his shots! Thanks for this!!!
More of these please! So jealous. Absolute dream to film adventure stlye.
Crazy journey! This channel definitely stepped up the levels!
definitely worth it, educational, fun, informational, i can be learning seriously taking notes and
have a smile in my face
Renan and Taylor are two of my biggest film making inspirations, great video Gene! So cool you got to hang with Renan.
Love the new videos youve been bringing us. Waiting to watch the Bikeriders video. Just went and watched it in the theater and waiting so my wife and I can watch your video today. We loved the Movie, so excited to see your interviews.
most interesting video of yours in a long time! nice work and congrats on the sponsorship!
this is one of the best views you put up in the recent years, i loved it
this is the beast video i've seen on youtube for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, absolutely incredible
One of our favorite videos on your channel. Been following Renan longer than you, what a legend. Glad you could link up and do some climbing with him!
As a huge fan of Renan's work and a climbing photographer myself, this was everything I needed from a Burano video!
This was one of the most interesting videos on the channel!
This was awesome! I think the aspect of using gear in real situations just becomes so much more interesting than just talking tech for its own sake. Thanks for putting all the effort in and showing how sponsored content should be conducted.
So good! I wish more sponsored videos went towards these types of interviews. Renan is an absolute legend!
These are by far my favourite style of videos. I'll take this over a gear review any day. I also really liked the Arri Camera/Lens video you a did a while back. Just learning about how some stuff is recorded or documented is soooo cool to me
Definitely worth it for these in-depth videos, and I'd rather have no one else but y'all do it! I have no aspirations to be a bigtime filmmaker, but this stuff is so fascinating, and I'm sure even small fry like me can learn something from these types of videos!!
What a great video, wish it was longer! Really cool to see some bts of Renans work.
This was awesome Gene! People don't realize how much work goes into these outdoor documentaries. You did a great job capturing Renan's stoke!
Absolutely insane look into this incredible style of doc filming and the Burano looks like a beast!!
really enjoyed this one man! :) Beautiful format. would love to see more of these!
You are really knocking it out of the park with all your recent videos. I can only imagine how much work these are to make.
This was so dope man. Your channel is such a huge inspiration. Thank you for doing this!
Absolutely amazing! This has definitely been one of your best videos!!
That looks absolutely terrifying, amazing job. Wasn't expecting the last couple seconds at all.
As a Burano owner, this video just hits the right spot. 🖤
Sony please sponsor 100 of these, they’re gems!
Incredible content! Love swing a big professional talking about his gear, thoughts and experience! Love it- more of this for sure!
Man one of the best videos ive seen on youtube in a long time love every minute
Keep these kind of videos coming Gene! Super interesting and kinda wish it was even longer 😅
Awesome to see Renan on the field :-) Great video!
One of the best yet, love hearing about filmmaking at this level - awesome to see you getting in there with them too.
Gene this was incredible! Without a doubt one of thr best videos you have done ❤
I loved it Gene. I couldn't stop watching. It's a mix of a tech specs and the stories from Renan. Great storytelling 8.9/10
super divertido el tour!
One of the best videos I've seen lately. Thanks for sharing
Was nice to bump into you on the flight in, glad you made the most of what was some pretty miserable weather!
I love these kinds of videos - they're really fun to watch!
You and your team do such good work. Thank you.
This is incredible I love Renan. Really brought perspective to the use case of a Burano. I used to be one of Renan's sponsors. Dude is super chill and an incredible athlete. You did really well keeping up, even though it was like a training wheel session.
I love this video format! Sooooo much applicable data especially with cinematographers as knowledgable as Renan. Thanks man
Awesome dude. This is one of the many things I love about your channel. You introduce fields of work that get filmmakers and content creators excited about exploring new paths. 🤜🤛
That was awesome. It was nice to see what they go through to get the awesome shots. Thanks
This is insane Gene! What a cool experience!
this is awesome! thanks for taking us behind the lens!
I absolutely love this. My dream is to just travel the world filming. More please.
This is why I appreciate/like documentaries, props to the guys.
Loved this - next level!!!! Loved all the insights on filmmaking… 👏
This is the type of photography and videography that i like - nature like sports with tech! Great stuff!! Keep it coming
You're a brave man. Beautiful shots.
You can’t bring this channel to the next
Level… Gene: hold my beer 😂😂
As usual great stuff love how you came along from the m50 days to this. Cheers 🙏🏻
F**** awesome that you could spend time with Renan, he is a legend! been following him for many years, and every time I think he reached the peak , he menages to do even crazier footage and adventure. I love how you are developing your channel, keep it up!
As someone who's started climbing a year and a bit ago, this is a really cool crossover! Climbing and filmmaking are hard enough on their own, let alone doing both of them at the same time. So interesting to see how Renan does it.
I've followed you for quite a while now since the beginning of my creative journey and I've learned so much since then. I just wanted to express this real quick haha that you're a huge inspiration to me. The teacher and peer that you are, my future self is aligning with right now. Take care Gene!
Yessss please do more of this! I watched every second
Next time I think about complaining about bringing just a full frame with an extra lens, mini drone, and tripod on a hike, I'm going to think about these people and just shut the hell up. So much respect. He has the perfect mindset for what he does and not many people think about the person behind the camera in these docs.
Renan is the goat. And potato is the potato. Amazing pairing
Man I follow Renan's work for years, absolutely fantastic filmmaker, and I couldn't catch my fingers to hit play to this video. Great job Gene, entertaining and informative as always!
PD: Shotout to the Sony A7IV, I use it for videojournalism and now I see it holds its own even with the Burano 🤯
This was amazing! So many insights to how the documentaries get made.
Thank you for this .
This is incredible for someone who wants to head into the outdoor filmmaking space! Keep it up
What a great video. It’s nice to hear how the these top level pros get the job done. There is an unspoken confidence that tells you your going to end up with exactly what you want from the shoot. And congrats to you and your friends for making those climbs. ✌🏼
That’s incredible, I have not seen smth so involving and interesting for a long time! Thanx a lot🔥
What an amazing opportunity! Dream status there!
So cool really like the insight leaving the camera in the cold protected and just keeping the battery warm.
Fantastic video. So well put together and constantly interesting without feeling commercial. 👌🏼 great job!
Wow what a video, loved this ❤🔥
this is gold!
This is by far my favorite video so far! Renan has been a big inspiration to me so watching you to work together was awesome! I learned a lot that will hopefully help me advance in the adventure filmmaking world.
Brilliant, more like this please.😊
awweeeesome episode dude, probably the most entertaining video I've seen in awhile by ANY creator..
This was an epic video. Plenty of tricks of the trade etc, interesting story, please more of this
Absolutely incredible video Gene! very well shot and never a dull moment as usual. looked like a blast. Your killing it! 🤘 Keep going and working hard.
That was fun to get some insight into Renan's work 👍
