Thanks. That 3rd parry phase is really hard for me to perfect. Kind of annoying that he repeats the whole sequence even if you miss just one and have the HP to take the hit.
It gets much, much easier over time. It's just really rough those first couple of times, especially if you start on very hard. I got smoked by him a few times and I knew someone else would too.
@@OtepRalloma You might be right, I was playing the game on Hard. I'm not entirely sure but I believe it's also possible to dodge the phase trigger (the big orange wave that pushes you back) by being in the air when it happens. I noticed that happened on occasion just by accident when a samurai was present in combat with other enemies present and I just happened to be in the air fighting a different opponent. Might not work when it's 1v1 though.
It took me a little bit. Imo these are the second hardest guys to get down. Alternatively you can stay out of their attack wave (they'll pulse twice) and they won't attempt to hit you with the rhythm attack for a period of time. You can also actually kill enemies before they trigger this at all but that's a little harder to do (I had some success with high meter cost specials like Hibiki and Overdrive Slash).
@@Hyper_1989 I actually had the same thing happen. I complained on the internet I was getting stomped by a samurai guy and then I figured it out. Be sure to do it on the last boss if you're having trouble because it worked for me then too lol.
Heres a little fun fact,Samurai have the biggest health out of any non boss enemy, and they dont have any sort of armor like Z shielding or otherwise, the chef samurai actually has 50 more hp then a regular one if im not mistaken
it says in the video "dont do that" implying that you should do the finisher, he is not doing it becouse he doesnt want to kill the enemie for further practise
these timed sequences are broken, they really destroy the whole fun element of the game, there is even no checkpoint, before this, so you kill all the robots, then comes this rhythm sequence of timed defense and bang, all over again
Playing on very hard and having to go through a buncha nonsense just to even attempt to learn it is a total turn off. This dude almost made me quit ciz it was more annouying then anything else.
I think the worst is when he doesn´t come alone
Believe it or not, I found this guy a really good parry training dummy, and he's not as frustrating as the spinning dog or the bitch-ass fire bird.
I relate with tou
When you master the parry you feel invincible

tbh you should be looking for the parry, tough enemies take ten years to kill without them
I think the repeat by missing one is on higher difficulties, iirc rhythm parries allow some leeway for easy and normal

You can parry the shockwave when he gets enraged, do it twice and he goes back to be vulnerable and u can destroy him the normal way
These guys are fucking me hard even on normal, can't get the timings down even after fighting them over and over in the security level.

@@EOS222 What are the first hardest? Those Flying pterodactiles or some variation of fire guys?
@@thebadspeedrunner Yeah I would say the fire birds. They have an odd pause.
@| Edge it was kinda funny, but right after I posted that comment and watching this video it "clicked" for me and I just destroy these guys now.

After doing very hard and moving to rhythm master, i never knew to parry his first rage state since i didnt know you could parry that fast xd
Out of all the robots with parry combos. This one has the dopest
(i say robots because nothing's better than korsica's boss fight)
I was enjoying the game then this guy
I dont even understand this. The pattern he makes when he clicks the swords together isnt the same as the parry rhythm. Wtf?? I hate this shit
Why not do the parry finisher I don’t get it
it says in the video "dont do that" implying that you should do the finisher, he is not doing it becouse he doesnt want to kill the enemie for further practise
Break posture once then before he goes on 2nd mode use Hibiki and it dies
why I should not do that? 0:28
He meant to avoid hesitate the final attack, he was not doing it for training purposes

Damn this my least favourite thing so far about the game
