- How to Make Soy Candles with a simple DIY tutorial. I've been making my own homemade soy candles for the past 6 years, and they're so fun! With this easy soy candles tutorial you can whip up a batch of soy candles in very little time!
READ THE BLOG POST HERE FOR FULL INSTRUCTIONS: www.artfulhomemaking.com/make...
Note on instructions in the video: I mentioned heating the wax to about 170-180, but I forgot to mention that I don't pour at this temperature. I heat the wax to about 180 degrees, add fragrance (if using), and then pour the wax at around 135 degrees. The blog post linked above has the full and complete instructions.

I love how these candles turned out! These would make nice presents :)
Thank you! Yes, I've given lots of them away through the years, and handmade candles always seem to be appreciated!
Thanks! I am starting a small biz! This helped a lot. I use my DōTerra essential oils too! Super excited.
You're welcome! So glad it was helpful!
Hey, just wondering what kind of DoTerra scents do you use? I am going to make some candles and I’m just wondering what works best for you!!
Great tutorial. Thanks

Hey! Me and my friend are starting a small candle business and we were wondering where you got your candle jars from?
Hello! These are the ones I use: amzn.to/33lK5UM
Artful Homemaking thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
I have also used these (if you prefer not to have the quilted look on the side of the glass): amzn.to/30sT04N
how much essential oil would you use for that batch? Are you going to do the video?
Hi Susan! I've read that you should use at least 100 drops of essential oil for every pound of wax. It takes a lot of essential oil to scent candles! I haven't had a chance to make a video yet, but I hope to get one made in the future.
Wow 100 drops is a lot and yes they are expensive. Thanks for the response 😊
I know, it's amazing how much it takes to scent them with essential oils!
What size wick did you use?
I use an Eco 10 candle wick. 6" amzn.to/3iI89Z1
can you add coco butter to this mixture?
or coconut oil?
I don't have any experience with that. I've only made these candles just with the soy wax, and they always turn out great!
How can you make creed could you do a video on that if you can thank you
Hi Claire! I'm not familiar with creed. What is it?
@@ArtfulHomemaking its a mens aftershave sent
Oh, I see! Thanks for the reply!
Or could you also add coconut oil?
I've never added coconut oil to my soy candles before, but I do add coconut oil to my beeswax candles. You can find the tutorial for those here: ruclips.net/video/UgS40c1vyWA/видео.html
