The creepiest element of Blasphemous lore I think is that no matter what horrific afflictions the Miracle unleashes on the people of Cvstodia, they still venerate and revere it, welcoming whatever awful things it does to them.
I agree, it’s incredibly unnerving and very dark.

The Cenobites would have a ball with people from Custodia
It would be nice if they explore the area outside of Cvstodia in the next game.
It would be such a great twist if the world outside was simply modern day civilization and somehow the remote village of Cvstodia was stuck in a more “primitive” time due to its lack of interaction with other societies.
@@TheInhumanOne there is an object description that said something like "and he was sent to explore the world and "colonize" (well, something more like to bring them the improvements and advancementes of Custodia, but I don't remember the word) the barbaric territories outside of Cuvstodia. He was executed when he came back and stated, that Custodia was the most barbaric among all of them.". And since it's been said (though it was just a normal person I believe, not one of the faces and such) that the time in Custodia passes in a weird speed (probably something related to the Miracle), it's highly possible that the outside world has progressed even more.
Another interesting point is how will Cvstodia look like after the banishment of the high wills, what new religion/s would rise, and what new gods will exist. Is the penitant one the new messaih, or just a fading memory, and how much of the miracle's religion as we know it now will exist in future Cvstodia?
Interesting question I have never really thought about... Tho in the end cutscene you can see some different architecture hinting at possible different religious beliefs, it might also be that what we see is just Cvstodia in the distant future but with same religious principles.

Great seeing more blasphemous content! I love the way you simply present the concepts of this game as it was quite hard for me to grasp the lore at first...

You know The Miracle is now without a master or anyone or anything controling it I wonder what will happen if you leave the The Miracle on its own accord
If left pure, without the corruption of others nor of its own potential corruption. Then, as designed. The Miracle will be as it was meant to do upon its manifestation... But what that purpose is? It is uncertain.
Who do you think will be the main character of Blasphemous 2?
The penitent one's journey is complete so whoever will take his place in the sequel will likely be a entirely new character.

I did a trailer analysis video you may want to check out. I find it incredibly interesting that Crisanta is nowhere to be seen in the trailer. Her absence is certainly an important detail, but I’m unsure how it ties into the bigger picture. I’ve got several new videos scheduled for the coming weeks all centered around Blasphemous. Let’s see what we can find out before the official release!
A question if the miracle itself is the one responsible for resurrecting the penitent one wouldn't the the false trio know he was coming or is the miracle have some sort of minor free will? Like with laudes
It is also possible that the miracle was the higher force, and the high-wills were false gods that used the miracle for their own needs.
I believe the miracle resurrected the penitent one because it assumed it would become the new father figure like in the normal ending, continuing the cycle of faith and suffering. However, in this new expansion, we were able to commit the ultimate blasphemy, hence ending the high wills. Something unexpected, and hence cursed for all of time, as the penitent one had devised a way to use the miracle against its masters.
@@SalmanKhan-mo4bx interesting this would mean the trio somehow got the reins of how it works, and the miracle like with laudes did something for itself.
@@irvs5922 well when you speak with Perpetua she does say that meeting is somehow behind the miracles gaze, then we meet the "traitor" and take fate to our own hands
@@SalmanKhan-mo4bx on top of this, I think that belief spurred the cycle, the father was probably just a cog in a wheel of those who sacrificed themselves to attempt to save the lands, only to inspire belief enough to allow a new set of gods to will themselves into existence

I remember that Squatch was doing lore on this but assumed that the High Wills and the Miracle are two seperate beings
They are two separate brings.

I think the best way to think of it is as follows:
1. The miracle is a force that exists within the realm of Cvstodia.
2. The High Wills manipulated that force to suit their own needs.
I believe the ending sequence shows the Miracle being reborn in a new sentient form free from the influence of other deities. Hope this helps!

Nah, I wouldn’t recommend a whole new playthrough to obtain that single item. Instead just rework your current rosary beads 📿 to get the desired effects.

Would you say that the Miracle is an Entity itself or a divine force needing to be controlled?
I believe up until the new ending in the Wounds of Eventide DLC that it was a force that COULD be controlled (I don’t think it NEEDED to be controlled). Once the High Wills died, the Miracle died as well and was reborn as a standalone entity. The sequel will show us the true nature of the Miracle and reveal its own unique agenda and desires.

Does this game qualify as having a cult following?
Yes.
Honestly it's sort of funny but despite being a Christian I completely agree with the philosophical conclusions this game draws because Catholicism unlike Christianity comes to the wrong conclusion regarding Christ's true purpose which was not to glorify suffering or see suffering as somehow beautiful. Instead the whole point was to show God's absolute and unwavering love for humanity by taking the punishment for our sins upon himself so we wouldn't have to and by so doing teaching us that there is no greater display of love than to take suffering upon oneself so others may be spared. Be selfless, heroic, noble, and always love each other..
