The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.”
The big-screen epic continues the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s acclaimed bestseller Dune with returning and new stars, including Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet (“Wonka,” “Call Me by Your Name”), Zendaya (“Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Malcolm & Marie,” “Euphoria”), Rebecca Ferguson (“Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning”), Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (“Avengers: End Game,” “Milk”), Oscar nominee Austin Butler (“Elvis,” “Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood”), Oscar nominee Florence Pugh (“Black Widow,” “Little Women”), Dave Bautista (the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films, “Thor: Love and Thunder”), Oscar winner Christopher Walken (“The Deer Hunter,” “Hairspray”), Léa Seydoux (the “James Bond” franchise and “Crimes of the Future”), Souheila Yacoub (“The Braves,” “Climax”), with Stellan Skarsgård (the “Mamma Mia!” films, “Avengers: Age of Ultron”), with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling (“45 Years,” “Assassin’s Creed”), and Oscar winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”).
“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Villeneuve directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.
Villeneuve is again collaborating with his “Dune” creatives: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser; Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette; Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker; Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert; Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is again on hand to create the score.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures Present A Legendary Pictures Production, A Film By Denis Villeneuve, “Dune: Part Two.” The film is slated for a March 1, 2024 release in theaters and IMAX nationwide and internationally beginning on 28 February 2024, distributed by Warner Bros. In the beginning, you're rooting for Paul.
By the end, you get why Paul hesitated to rise.
Dennis managed to film Dune. Amazing.
Let me put it this way: Near the end I was almost rooting for Feyd. Like, maybe the Univese would be better off if ruled by the Harkonnen Psychopath.
This type of film is the reason why IMAX format cinema exists!!
No. This film is the reason why CINEMA exists! Epic
I swear guys, it’s not overrated! It’s a legit pop culture phenomenon
agreed man, that movie was something else.
It’s really good, but it’s not a pop culture phenomenon.
It's not just the movie, it's the experience
You cannot replicate that at home
@@byebyebeta, L + ratio.
@@byebyebetaI agree, Dune was always too smart of a piece of art to become pop culture phenomenon
Saw it today on IMAX was breathtaking
Same dude ! in Paris Quai-Ivry
Saw yesterday in IMAX. I'm going to watch it again. This movie exceeded my highest expectations
Same, saw it at midnight premiere
OHH you got me stoked for it
Man when when the thopters were flapping their blades I legit felt like I was sitting in one.
Stilgar is gonna win that ultimate follower Oscar. Every messiah deserve his own Stilgar.
I think Timothee Chalamet should be Nominated & Rebecca Ferguson should be nominated
I DONT CARE WHAT YOU BELIEVE, I BELIEVE
As Written
@@stephaniemoore9122 yeah ferguson was great
so in comparison he is peter if he was in the bible
It is without question amongst the greatest films I have ever seen. After watching it, I went out to have some ramen. Only after finishing it and I looked at the time, I saw, “I could make it to the next showing.” And that’s exactly what I did. Double feaure back to back. Nolan and crew are lucky this was pushed back because it would SWEEP all the awards.
Woke up this morning after seeing it imax and the music theme of Paul and Chani has been playing over and over on my head all day long. Movie was legendary.
The statistics disagree with you. There have been a LOT of great movies that were released early in the season then slowly forgotten once voting time comes around...
@@soccerojdojThe statistics also said some Marvel movies have higher score than underrated amazing TV shows/A24 films. The stats only tell you what the mass want, not the true quality of the product.
@@ThiccChonccyou're talking about movie ratings. I'm talking about the fading of emotional resonance of a movie shown early in the year compared to a movie of similar quality shown just before the Oscars are voted for late in the year.
@@soccerojdojwhich movie has even hope to compete this year?? I think dune 2 might acquire dark knight status from what i am seeing.
Watched it last night. One of the greatest cinematic experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Just watched Dune 2 and man it was absolutely incredible, one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. The cinematography was so good, the entire movie and set pieces were all beautifully shot, the story, action, epic Hans Zimmer soundtrack, everything was top notch. Denis Villeneuve truly one of the best directors today. The cast was great, Timothée Chalamet gave the performance of a lifetime and stole the show as Paul Atreides.
A truly worthy sequel. So excited for Part 3.
I just saw Dune: Part Two with my parents and it was amazing. But the ending wasn't as what I expected. I also wonder what will happen next for Chani when they're making Dune 3.
Yes, Villeneuve and Nolan are the two greatest directors of current times. Oppenheimer was mindblowingly beautiful in IMAX.
Lmao at the star "stealing the show"
Dune Part 2 is going to win some Oscars next year . The story is phenomenal , the acting is great , the cinematography is gorgeous and the character development for Paul Atreides is fantastic . Everything in this movie is peak perfection 👏👏👏👏👏 .
Have u seen it? I’m about to leave for it let’s goooo
@@Iqerooni Just to let everyone know, the films gears to the major battle at the end which lasts 5 minutes at best.
If you're not a fanboy, film is 5.5/ at best. Cannot believe the battle lasts like 5 minutes if even. Also, craps all over the villain character arcs from the first film. Makes them look comical and weak.
first film is amazing compared to this film
@@geoffreynoonan4334 Why is it even relevant that the fight scene is 5 minute ? The five minute conveyed more information than 2 hours of fight scene in the recent marvel movies... While the movie has a different tone than the first one, I don't think it made the bad guys look weak or comical wtf ? The harkonens are scary AF.
@@fixo5132 The Battle is everything and if you don't see that I cannot help. The reason why everyone shat over GOT last season with the white walkers, the reason the LOTR is seen as a masterpiece. The Climatic battle is everything. Don't know what film you were watching but the harkonens lost every single battle apart from 1 maybe, The Emperor soldiers were non existent. Go back and look at the scenes, harkonens were made to look comical and they completely ruined the villain arc from first Film. Prime example, Dave Batista Character turned him into a comical scared idiot
@@IqerooniI saw the film yesterday in my country . Hello from Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱 .
This trailer remindes me of good old years of 90s...and how epic were the movies of hollywood were.
The Sci-Fi Lord of the rings of our time!!!!!!
HONESTLY!!!!
There are so many moments here that will go down in history as some of the greatest cinema ever.
Without a doubt, this is the single greatest movie I have ever seen. Waiting my whole life for a proper dune adaptation and Denis delivered beyond what we all thought was possible. It will win so many awards. Chalamet will win best actor.
Same, I literally cannot stop thinking about it since I saw it last Sunday. It's also my favorite movie of all time
What is the greatest movie you have seen?
@@CroeksOss He literally said this is it bro. The same goes for me. Interstellar and Good Will Hunting were on the first but now Dune Part 2 sweeps it.
I remember thinking just as the film ended and the screen went black and my eyes were filled with tears and my heart filled with stones that this might be the best film I've ever seen.
It was good but not that good tbh.
I saw Dune: Part Two in IMAX last night! It was the GREATEST MOVIE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!! I will remember this theater experience for the rest of my life! Everything about Part Two was absolutely phenomenal, from the story, to the acting to the incredible score by Hans Zimmer! This is honestly one of the best films of the decade!
The only movie that after we watched it, we went back in line to watch it again. Tv wont do this movie justice. Watch it in the best theatre near you
❤❤❤❤❤❤
80's -The Empire Strikes Back
2000's- The Two Towers
2020's- Dune2
Please don't compare dune to lotr. It's not similar in the slightest.
@@Nio744bruh did you see that movie?! Dune is incredible just like Lotr and classic Star Wars
@@busydarthnooox8290 and I totally agree with that all I'm saying is that I feel like comparing those to this isn't really correct because those stories are very classical in their themes about good vs evil where in Dune its all grey area.
So I just feel like people might get the wrong idea about it when we say it's just like lotr or star wars. I feel like early GOT is a better comparison.
How did you miss James Cameron's Avatar?
2005- the Dark Knight
I was lucky enough to experience Dune 2 in the cinema room alone with all of strangers had such intense respect for this artwork. We all stood up and clapped for the movie right after it finishes. It was an absolute one in a life time experience. Thank you so much Denis and all the people decided to make this masterpiece
So cool.. I want to clap in my cinema but I am scared…
@@qhaireeniqa7936 lol one man in my cinema clapped so loudly then everyone started to clap too, we kinda made our own Cannes ovation =))
This movie is incredible in every sense of the word. It’s the Lawrence of Arabia epic of our generation.
The build up from dune 1 to 2 was phenomenally delivered. everything from the acting, dialogues, cgi, sfx was top notch!
It's been a long time since I felt the vibes of a film like THE LORD OF THE RINGS, after 21 years finally ,,DUNE II is a cinematic masterpiece packaged in a very epic and emotional way... Zimmer really plays an important role in part 2... the scoring is what makes the difference... ONE AND ONLY !!! overall this is masterpiece scifi in modern CINEMA by FAR !!
Yessss I feel absolutely the same🥹😭😭😭
I got cold chills several times while watching. Such a well told story. Hopefully we get part 3 sooner then later
I was shouting when Timothee was standing on the worm trying to ride it for the first time in was saying go mother fer go wooow and Austin Butler vs Timothee at the end was incredible
I’ve seen in twice all ready and it so unbelievably good I could see it every day for a week and not be tired of it.
- There’s a few things missing from the books due to condensing the timeline, but supremely great, script, cinematography and direction.
- Cast & acting deserving of any awards out there.
- Can’t wait for DUNE MESSIAH
Saw it one hour ago, absolute masterpiece. Congrats on making this movie.❤❤
I has just watched this tonight on IMAX and it’s incredible. First of all, I enjoy every moment of the movie. I think it’s a great sequel and I’m gonna recommend it to all of my friends who haven’t watch it. I don’t know if there will be part three but I’m gonna wait and see. To all the actors in this movie, you guys have done a wonderful and incredible job! . Thank you for working so hard and thank you to Denis. The movie is.. I have no words but it’s awesome and fantastic. I enjoyed very minute of it, I love it. It’s so great to see fantastic movie like this after a while due to Covid and stuffs you know. I do like this movie a lot but part one and part two. Great job guys.
The best blockbuster of the decade. It was an amazing experience.
This is legit... The best sequel of all time
I swear the Baron just LOVE bathing.
Timothee is the best
He's a man of many talents. I've been following him since Homeland. Btw, wish had enough material to show his acting chopt in act 1 of the Dune 2.
Just saw in IMAX. Unbelievably epic.
I watch it on the premier and It was fantastic, the feeling you get to see it in imax is like nothing I’ve experience before on any other film
10 out of 10 movie, need to watch it again already
"You don't watch it, you experience it." The perfect way to describe this masterpiece of a film. This film is stunning in IMAX, it's sheer scale is outstanding.
THIS MOVIE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Watching this made me feel the same way I felt watching Star Wars as a kid. Insane!
Saw Dune today still amazed by the sound tracks ,direction, dialogues every actor nailed it.
This is one of the greatest masterpieces to ever grace a cinema screen
I kinda wanna give everyone involved in the making of this movie a hug.
Saw it today in a Dolby Cinema, amazing
Went watching this first show today. It's just amazing to watch. Might catch another show next weekend.
I saw it a week ago, I can’t wait to see it again once everyone else has a chance to see it. It lived up to the hype. See it, you’ll love it.
I just saw this in the cinema. The best movie I ever watched.
I went on Dune 1&2 marathon and BOY it was SO freaking WORT it. My all time favorite movies already
THE SPICE MUST FLOW
The -Marvel- Superhero Killer. Back to good movies now. 🤝
tler's performance was transformative, riviting and truly amazing.
This is Cinema❤
I cannot describe what a dream come true this is for me having read the books as a kid
I just saw it in IMAX and I will probably go to see it again (on a regular screen probably). Trully an epic masterpiece of modern cinema
Absolutely incredible in IMAX
Saw it IMAX yesterday. Like a sci-fi LOTR. Y’all won’t be disappointed
Maybe not the best comparison. Lotr is a classic hero's journey while dune is a rejection of that.
I just saw it a few days ago. You NEED to watch it in theaters. It was the best movie ive seen in a long time.
Just saw this today in the cinemas, my LORD what a movie. Just SPECTACULAR.
Just saw this yesterday after having not been in a theater since 2018, it was an experience for sure 🙌 I’m excited for the 3rd one
I saw yesterday! This film is a Cinematic Masterpiece since Lords of the Rings.
This was so epic. The IMAX experience magnificent ❤❤❤
The greatest SciFi book ever written (debatable of course, but that is the general consensus) FINALLY made into a great pair of movies! After reading this book 25 years ago, I finally got to see it envisioned! Loved it!
Damn. Seeing Zendaya go from KC undercover to A list celebrity is insane. This movie is beyond amazing
Get ready for the second excitement from Dune : past two 😲😲😲😲😊😊
"You are not prepared for what is to come". Prior to seeing the film, I really didn't put much stark into this statement or have faith in its message. That is until I got halfway through the film and then the reality of it hit me so hard there was no escaping it. This film was a breathtaking masterpiece that demands respect and recognition.
Saw It on feb 29 and I loved it! Simply spectacular! Now i'm willing to watch it again, but now on IMAX screen.
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES IVE EVER SEEN
Just saw it my second time, in Regal RPX... first time was in IMAX - IMAX is absolutely better in every way. And the film is spectacular, of course. Several scenes are already burned into my memory.
Disney-Marvel...take note: This is what good CGI looks like.
Masterpiece of a movie! Incredible cinematography!

Just got Chills
Finally a film worth seeing on IMAX.
Oppenheimer wasn't worth it? Or mission impossible dead reckoning?
@@TheViolentPacifist999 or the 300 nature films they play in between any significant release? Nah bruh
@@rileymcphee9429, Oppenheimer was definitely worth it.
@@TheViolentPacifist999Oppenheimer disappointed me with the bomb test. Nolan’s love of practical effects is why I love him but this is one he shouldn’t have done practically. The bomb looks horrible if you actually know anything about atomic bombs and how they are supposed to look. Took me out of the moment more than even crappy CGI would have
“Lead them to paradise” 💔💙
I saw the movie last night, amazing. I found myself wanting more of the Harkonnens as well...
This movie in 2 words: ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
Its breathtaking and beautiful in everyways it does to me in cinema 😢

How was it?
Movie of the year!
Warner Brothers still remain the kings of the theaters to me.
This is a masterpiece. Better than the first and better than Star Wars
Seen it twice now and it’s genuinely an extraordinary film
Seen it twice already! It’s really good!!!
Dune: Part Two is such a cinematic masterpiece!
Seeing it on Imax today cannot wait!!
Edit: OMG 10/10 one of the best experiences i have experienced in a theater man and it might be my favorite movie cannot wait for part 3!!🔥
Saw it in IMAX, the format this trailer in is making it a little sad considering it'll be the format we get on the 4k blu ray. Wish they'd do imax format for the dvd release.
Watched it today, one of the best films I have seen, better than part one,two hours 47 minutes of excellent storytelling 😂
I agree awsome movie . If cinema use hdmi please use a fiber optic hdmi 2.1 48 gb/s . Best viewed on imax . My cinema was bof hardware wise . Or whatever but this movie is worth seeing in cinema .i hope cinema go 100% fiber optic . My cinema was too loud sound wise but slightly less loud would have been perfect . Do not get me wrong . A lot of sound is needed for this movie . My cinema just went to high .
The film of the century (so far)
DUNE Part 2 is PURE CINEMA.!, an instant Cult Classic.!, PERFECTION in every way, I absolutely loved the film, Austin Butler was PHENOMENAL.!, as was everyone else, not a bad performance in the movie, definitely due some OSCAR'S next year, WELL DONE to Denis Villeneuve and all involved with this film.
Warner Bros green light DUNE: Messiah / DUNE Part 3 asap.!
Wow, just wow. Must watch❤
