I'm almost ashamed at how obsessed I am with this film. I have spent hours studying every aspect, the score, cinematography, cast interviews, bts - It continues to stun me. I rarely walk away from something that can leave such an impression on me, but when I do, I'm all in.
Just finished my 3rd viewing in IMAX, it's spectacular. Every actor and actress absolutely killed it, and the cinematography and score compliment the film so perfectly. Denis made something truly special here.
Went for 2nd time today should have bought my tickets earlier had to sit in front row again was shocked didn't expect all the good seats to be gone with ghostbuster opening this weekend. This is movie the year for sure the IMAX experience is off the chain! This is a real movie experience!
I watched it once in IMAX and yesterday in 4DX, IMAX was the best. The sound and image quality is grand. I haven't had this feeling about a movie since LotR. Not a coincedence I think a world from the father of fantasy and now Dune from the father of science-fiction.
I saw it for the third time yesterday, but i went with my friends and it was their first time watching and they loved it. That movie is amazing. That speech Paul gave was so good, even the fight at the end had me at the edge of my seat honestly even after watching it so many times. Denis did a great job, especially since some book to movie adaptions don't go that well.
100%. Absolutely killed it, I can't imagine if some uncreative "suit" creatures got their greedy hands on it first in this decade. I'd have never gotten interested enough to buy the books.
I’m not a film buff or anything but I wish I could write a letter to the director thanking him for making this. They really don’t make movies like Dune anymore. Such an amazing experience.
I’m not religious but THANK GOD this beautiful and talented man got to Direct these movies. Hard work is hard but he don’t mind putting in the extra mile and I respect him and his cast and crew so much for it.
imagine being a director who is bringing to life a work that you loved as a child and seeing the entire cast that you see as the characters in the book praising you and telling you how incredible you are must be a wonderful feeling
I think my obsession with Dune 2 is because it truly is a visual film. The dialogue although strong, is kept to a minimum. That’s why so many images stayed with me, because it truly is a Visual Joy and Masterpiece. Can’t wait to watch it over and over again
Ooook listening to Javier explain feeling happy and protected at work is LITERALLY the most important thing for anyone ever, big money or not as big money workers. 🙌 that Dennis V can make his team feel that way. Not everyone can do those things.
By far the best film I’ve seen in years. Arguably my favourite cinema experience ever. Never seen a film 3 times in the cinema before. It’s spellbinding
same! i am going to see it for the third time on Sunday and i have never even been to watch the same film twice at the cinema letalone three times! it is good to see these comments of other people needing to go multiple times also :)
Denni deserves his directing oscar for this movie. And dune 2 is a masterpiece in every direction, if this doesn't win next oscar for best movie i would be shocked.
I've been a filmmaker since I was 13 years old, and nothing... i repeat NOTHING i've seen in that time has compared to these two movies together. Denis is one of the best filmmakers of our time.
the way this cast talks about each other and Denis is so sweet. you can tell they have so much respect for each other and genuinely had fun making these movies
as a french-Canadian (québécois), its such an amazing experience to see someone from my home having such talent and bringing such greatness to the world. humbling in the best of ways.
I am a Cineast for over twenty years... But Dune is a absolute stunning MASTERPIECE!!!! A perfect Composition, everything is absolute perfection! From story, epic epic pictures, stunning music that fits so beautiful, Actors are perfect... Really impressive!!! Can't wait for part three!!!!!
Watched Dune 2 twice in theater because I wanted to share the experience with someone. Thought it'd be slightly redundant to watch again since I just saw it few weeks ago.....nope! I was still blown away. I finished it and thought...damn, this is a really good movie, the kind where every scene is just spectacular. Truly great cinema at its best. Bravo on everyone that worked on this movie. Hats off to you!!
Watched it twice in IMAX and once standard. I've seen this movie more times than most blockbusters that have been out for ages. First time even watching a movie for the third time in theaters.
What a privilege to be able to watch the Dune movies, Denis’ work is nothing but pure art that allows me to escape into one of the most immersive cinema experiences
Stilgar is absolutely the best hype man and possibly my favorite character in the movie. Both in terms of great character to love but also a great character you can feel a certain connection within his characters philosophy and what he represents. The movie is 10/10
There is a video of a deep analysis of that scene from Denis (if you mean the time he’s running on the dune to get on the sandworm). He says it was the most important scene of the movie.
I hope he releases extended editions on this one. Surely he has to see the importance of it given how huge this film was. They should run it on TV as a series with all of the deleted scenes added back in to make up 12 episodes.
I was leaning forward, eyes wide open and beyond locked-in for the entire film. Absolutely incredible. I haven’t felt this way about a film since I watched Star Wars as a kid.
How interesting it was to see when the movie ended in the theater people were sitting there still, for a long time even after the credits finished, talking to each other about the movie and how it made us all feel. I went to see it yesterday 19/4 after the movie being in the theaters for about a month and 3 weeks now and the room was still almost full! Truly a masterpiece!
Saw it three times, and honestly IMAX completely hits it out of the ball park, what an experience. Goosebumps throughout, incredible acting, the soundscapes are insane, absolute masterpiece ❤
It's amazing that it took just the right time before this story could come alive on the big screen. It needed the genius of Villeneuve plus his having read the story as a teen (like so many of us!) and its story sticking with him from that time period onward. Those decades of the story 'cooking' inside his brain, along with the rise of the perfect set of film technologies to bring it alive; and the cast/crew's pure dedication to it have - wonderfully - created a masterpiece. It will be so forever. Bravo.
I'm calling it right now. Denis with Javier and Josh, will be the next big Director/actor bromance. I've been on an interview binge and the amount of compliments and respect Denis has given to Javier and Josh is awesome. He's said that Javier shares a relatable creative understanding of the character that no other actor has shown him before, and Timothee says that Brolin and Denis are "all over each other, literally" lol
I watched Dune and Dune part 2 and now I'm reading the books and the film stays completely true to the story. When you've got Hans Zimmer doing the score then of course it's going to be good.
11:40 this is actually my first time seeing josh brolin in interviews, love his movies but just never really watched any press interviews or anything with him and I was thinking from the beginning of this that this dude is a film nerd bruh and then he says it himself haha definitely going to look up more interviews with him!
Stilgar's journey was my favorite. From proud native man who could speak to a duke like an equal. To a fanatical apostle ready to die on command. And Havier was amazing in the role.
I watched 12 times Dune part 1 , 2 in theater and 10 on TV. Then I watched 2 times Dune part 2 in theaters and am waiting to purchase Dune part 2 on Prime. I love Dune movies and could not wait to see Dune Part 3 ❤
Love this behind the scenes man this movie delivers! Will always be in my memories the iMax experience is amazing. Please release both part 1 and 2 in IMAX back to back viewing opportunity .
This movie is absolute Perfection. From Music, Dialogue, to set and special effects. Its a movie you can Watch multiple times. The First One was a bit slow. However watching both movies back to back. You understand the Build up and makes the Final soo much more

I did not read the book.... I watched Part 1.... and really did not understand what was going on..... though I thought it was a well done movie...... then watched Part 2- and started to understand Part 1 much better- - then went back to watch Part 1 again- and I picked up so much that I "did not see or understand" in my first viewing- WOW- then watched Part 2 again- and picked up even more..... SO POWERFUL.... each time I watch.... I cannot recall any other movie where each time i watched, I became more involved.... so wonderfully done- so much fun... Bravo....B R A V O

“He made it into a film rather than a talking book” 💯💯💯💯💯
Hans Zimmer is spot on. Dune is extremely heavy on internal monologues and Denis is a visual storyteller. That clash made magic.
Best Picture of 2024

I've seen it 3 times in IMAX. Dune is our Star Wars, that's all that needs to be said.
dune puts star wars to shame imo, this is how you make a sci fi film in a non corny way
@@ddt92712 that is so true - I've felt this way about a film after ages!
@@ddt92712 Completely agree. Star Wars is completely eclipsed by by DVs Dune. There is no comparison.
