I think the actors in Dune are incredible, they seem to get along well on set. But my god, Zendaya has enormous respect for Denis Villeneuve. Wow, that's really admirable.💕💕💕👏
True. And the feeling is mutual. When Zendaya was chosen as an Icon by TIME Magazine, Denis Villeneuve wrote the moving blurb about her for their honoring her. Denis called Zendaya, "Timeless." He also stated that he loves that Zendaya still "laughs like a child." And that he is comforted knowing that the future is in the hands of young people like her. I actually teared up reading it. Quite a few people who work with Zendaya wind up thinking of her as family. Zendaya is wholesome, brilliantly multi-talented, kind, charming, humorous, loyal, hard-working, wise, charitable, family-oriented, stylish, and diplomatic. Gotta love her.
What a phenomenal interviewer. I've always loved her interviews. You can tell from the impressed A lister guests, no one asked a question like she does. Well researched!!
She literally elevated this interview from the boring/redundant/passion-less/tedious fare which passes for "journalism" today. I'd not seen nor heard of Naz Perez until just now...but i am definitely seeking out her other work. Genuine emotion can NOT be feigned, nor manifested into being, nor fabricated...it resonates with truth and sincerity...or the work falls flat for lacking the genuine emotion.
I can not put into words of how excited I am to see this film. I already have multiple screenings scheduled lol. What a way to open up the press tour! An amazing job by Naz Perez, such satisfying question that Dune fans want answers to. You can truly feel the passion during this interview. P.S. Killer outfit, I need a closer look at that ring, it looks like a crysknife.
Now I must rewatch to catch that detail I missed listening to this interview pre dawn/on my phone. There is a tangible love and genuine RESPECT for the source material, the Director, to the Veteren Actors [and reciprocal respect for the professionalism and emotional depth of the young actors], the CGI staff, the costumers, cinematography, and Zimmer. The collaborative nature of FILM as a medium for storytelling/world building is well known, but rarely have I seen ~ until most recently in this movie and Oppenheimer BOTH ~ such PASSION and ARTICULATE questions and answers. This interviewer Naz Perez was the perfect individual to host these actors and discuss THIS MOST BELOVED MATERIAL. I have read and reread the books so often since discovering Dune as a small girl. UNFEIGNED EMOTIONS elevate ones WORK, and PASSION is both infectious and resonates with sincerity and truth. It's so REFRESHING to have such a stellar individual hosting an impassioned cast...Perez elevated this interview to a far greater level than one has been lead to expect given the grossly inferior efforts of empty, passion less attention seekers in the guise of interviewer.
This interview was…genuine, & enjoyable, her questions/research about the movie is wow. It wasn’t fake, or generic like (blah blah blah) or awkward. Really hooked me. Have her interview more. Please.
Gurney is described in the book as an "ugly lump of a man," but I'm seriously glad they took some license and cast the handsome Josh Brolin, because the dude always slays. The entire cast is just sick, and you can feel the respect for the novel coming off them in waves.
But also the dude absolutely nails and captures the rugged veteran/weary man that the book describes, yeah this one line perhaps showing an inaccurate portrayal to some book purists, but its all about how the actor embodies the role, the same way that Tyrion was meant to be way uglier and a much uglier scar, here Gurney has a subtler scar, but you absolutely know that Josh Brolin can sell a tough as hell guy who’s seen war, hell he played Cable like a few years prior tbh
A wholesome interview😊 thank you Naz Perez. Florence Pugh is effortlessly funny on this!!!😂 she lightens up the mood until the end. Great cast for Dune Part 2, can't wait to watch❤
Came here expecting another really quick and superficial interview and the first question knocked the air out of me with it’s sheer depth and beauty. Wow!! What an engaging and enjoyable interview! Kudos Naz Perez!
My family can hardly wait to see this epic film! Brilliant Zendaya and Timothee' and the other great actors as well as the genius director, Denis, deserve a massive hit for their dedication and skill. And the interviewer, Naz, is wonderfully knowledgeable and asks insightfully pertinent questions. The actors showing their appreciation for her excellence speaks to her quality - and theirs.
Pugh has her style so figured out, she just radiates class in such a modern way, I can't stop admiring her and it's not in a sexual way (ok mostly not)
Outstanding interview. Naz you have such intros in every interview. Truly, you do your research and you mind is so so quick that you transition and provide the social grease to from one answer to another. You put people at every, let them open up, and bring out the best in them. You always lift your guest up. Denis is incredible; once in a generation talent. I have been enjoying his artistry for years, even before mainstreaming. Incendies, is a life changing movie, and particularly personal, as I was there in the Chouf Mountain, Druz and Christians, Lebanon. This is a super talented cast and you can tell they invest deep into the characters and storyline. Bravo to all.
I think Naz Perez is great at what she does, because she likes and loves what she does and brings so much interest, integrity, intelligence, focus, comfort, and passion as an interviewer. Even Naz's beautiful outfit seems to compliment the Dune costume design. The whole cast of Dune are so charismatic on and off screen. I think Dune 2 is going to be Epic.
I have never seen an interviewer be so personable but so prepared. The conversation flowed perfectly but you could tell she was always ready for the next question. She was so respectful to the cast who, seemingly, were very comfortable around her. Kimmel's interview with them does not compare in the slightest.
I consider myself a Dune fan more so than the normal fan, and I feel as though they really respect the source material, its refreshing in this day and age. Hats off to these artists for their work.
I think most of them if not all of them had read the books before they ever even knew they were going to be in the film. So to be a part of such a valiant effort to adapt this to big screen must have felt like a big honor for all of them.
Well done! Ms. Perez asked mouthful questions and It's treat to hear each of the actors talk about their roles. I love that Denis Villeneuve really gets this story, I agree the material is in good hands. Cheers!
I wouldn’t have said everything the same way this interviewer did or asked the same questions, but MAJOR props for how much effort she put in. Very nice, good energy.
Excellent interview. DUNE II was absolutely EPIC and will go down in cinematic history as far more than just another sci-fi film. I was captured and held in place with every other person in the cinema.
I agree as do countless persons in this thread....but I've responded to but a few and your comment is one which hit on the reasons why this interview was elevated to the degree it was.
This cast is perfect in their roles and I'm very excited about this sequel. Excellent interview with everyone. She really asked questions we hope to hear about.
What a refreshment to see and hear such a dilligent, well-spoken and educated young woman such as an this interviewer! She's beautiful inside and out. Bravo!
12:49 Yeah, that shot of Stilgar on his knees, tears in his eyes as he stares at Paul in the South sietch has to be my favorite standalone shot of the whole movie. The moment when Paul ceases to be this surrogate son/student figure and is now, in his eyes, something akin to a god…when not weeks ago, he was humorous, cheerful, joking about Paul’s humility and naming him one of the Fremen. After that he starts to mimic Paul’s movements in reverence, “Lisan al Gaib” becomes every other word out of his mouth. It just gave me an awful feeling.
best interviewer ive seen in a while, props to her those were really well-informed questions! And the Dune set theyre in is unbelievable wtf this cant be the only time they do this
The actors were not asked ridiculous questions, which is usually the way in these types of interview: the interviewer asked great questions. Well done.

I'm about to Google Naz Perez to view other interviews hosted by this passionate prepared and rather unique individual. It's uplifting and comforting to hear this is interview is no accident, that her genuine emotions and curiosity and preparedness are internalized rather than elevated by her genuine passion for the source material, film itself, Directors of this caliber, cast and crew.... Genuine unfeigned emotion is finally being cultivated, inspired and celebrated. Genuine emotions must be imbued in any work to elevate a work to the level of ART. OPPENHEIMER and this movie are going to lead cinema in a resurgence of quality storytelling. I typically chose movies by DIRECTOR as opposed to favoured actors....as visionary directors know how to challenge actors and the mutual respect and their inherent passion elevates artists to dig deep within and bring forth performances which uplift even seasoned professionals to a height they might not even have believed they possessed. As a life long lover of film and great writing, intense emotion and high art...it's HEARTENING to see genuine emotion elevating that which has spiraled downward for so long.

When I first saw the 1984 version of Dune, I thought it was related to Star Trek because Patrick Stewart played Gurney. :D
The only casting I had a question about was Duncan Idaho. But I gotta say Momoa did a bang up job
I can imagine Josh Brolin's look as Gurney. I think he fits with Gurney Halleck
@@reikun86Patrick Stewart was a last minute recasting. The original actor had a drinking problem and was let go.
Wow what an interview! Might be the best I've seen for any movie ever. Could tell the actors were blown away too. Give that lady a raise!!
Truly one of the best ensemble cast in cinematic history ❤
And I can hardly wait to see Zendaya in her expanded role as Chani in DUNE2! The rest of the cast is amazing, too.
It's truly stunning
Agree
Avengers play golf
Wow, the interviewer is so informed, respectful, no notes, just brilliant!
I am so excited to see Florence & ofcourse Zendaya & Timmy
Cast is INSANE 🔥🔥
You are just a jealous hater, how covinent you skipped Austin's name
A wholesome interview😊 thank you Naz Perez. Florence Pugh is effortlessly funny on this!!!😂 she lightens up the mood until the end. Great cast for Dune Part 2, can't wait to watch❤
Austin and Florence so cute together
Came here expecting another really quick and superficial interview and the first question knocked the air out of me with it’s sheer depth and beauty. Wow!! What an engaging and enjoyable interview! Kudos Naz Perez!
Florence is so articulate and poised on these promo runs like a vet geez. Talk about being in banger after banger, Oppenheimer now Dune...
zendaya and timothy look so good together
I think Dune 2 is going to be Epic.
javier bardems voice gives me shivers. what a titan
She is a incredible interviewer! Her questions were so thoughtful. Couldn’t be more excited for this film.
The interviewer was amazing. Good job mama. She really gave great questions.
The host completely stole the show.from the questions to her styling.just awesome.casting agents?
I'm so excited for Austin's Fyed
The interviewer reminds me of the hot wings interview guy. Her questions and flow are great!
very talented interviewer. Love her outfit too!
What a well preparated and passionate Interview. Hope is not lost, as long as there are people like Naz Perez in the media
There is not a single person on this couch that I do not love seeing on screen. I am so hype for Part 2!
The interviewer is amazing she asked thought-provoking, deep questions 😮
I think this is the best interviewer I’ve ever seen
that interviewer is absolutely incredible
What a refreshment to see and hear such a dilligent, well-spoken and educated young woman such as an this interviewer! She's beautiful inside and out. Bravo!
An interviewer who actually knows what theyre talking about...this is awesome!
And the Dune set theyre in is unbelievable wtf this cant be the only time they do this
She was a fantastic interviewer!! Props to her for putting the cast at ease and giving thoughtful compliments
zendaya, what a beautiful and talented girl, i can't wait to see dune and challengers this year!
I heartily concur, denise! Looking forward to seeing more of Zendaya as Chani in DUNE2.
@@sieraclayton1503I love her Zendaya shows so much respect and there is a her trust for the Denny
The actors were not asked ridiculous questions, which is usually the way in these types of interview: the interviewer asked great questions. Well done.
Naz ate this interview down! She's fantastic. That into...my goodness! 🔥 I love when we get to have fun, but still be really informed about the cast, their processes, and their insight on the film. This was a great way to start off a rainy weekend in New Orleans! 💚💜💛
Josh Brolin is so naturally funny. What a great interviewer. Lovely detailed questions with proper research and zero interruptions.
Fandango interviews are among the best I've seen so far on the internet. Good job indeed and thank you for this!
Best interview for any movie. Ever. Everyone on that couch will remain a legend, including the interviewer, Naz Perez. Excuse me while I go back to rewatch the first question.
her questioning is impeccable
Beyond astonishing
The interviewer gave this the utmost respect and excitement it undoubtedly deserves, she killed, cant wait to see all these actors new and old flourish in what they bring to the screen, denis you have painted an amazing foundation to the source material, love all your work can't wait ❤
Naz always brings it to the interviews! Such a big fan of you girl - your interviews are always thoughtful, funny and memorable!
LOVED this interview so much! i have watched her vids throughout the years and it is so amazing to see her grow and carry herself so well in such a space. KILLED IT! and all the actors as well, i love watching people talk about what the love 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
Incredible interview Naz!! I love how passionate and genuinely interested she was in speaking to each actor and how she complimented everyone so beautifully. Great job to the cast for giving her that praise! I'm sure that meant everything to her.
It does seem like the interviewer had practiced this so many times, to move the conversation around so smoothly, giving little bits of trivia that even the actors didnt know, shows a great level of passion for the job 👏 amazingly done
I remember Naz perez from clevver news covering celeb gossip news , so good to see her interviewing big stars with such ease and such well thought out questions. Go girl.
