- The Sleeper has awoken! Join Dune superfan Stephen Colbert (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) as he sits down with director Denis Villeneuve and stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, and Sharon Duncan Brewster to discuss their ambitious cinematic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi classic.
Dune arrives in theaters on December 18.

Jesus, this casting is Lord of the Rings quality.
Stephen & Denis: I first encountered Dune when I was Paul Atreides' age
Some people that didnt read Dune are saying in the trailer's comments that It looks generic...It pisses me off so much because OF COURSE seems like something you watched before... Because Dune INSPIRED all those movies.
Oscar Isaac and Rebeca Ferguson being cast as Timothee's parents is prolly one of the best casting ever.
The amount of attractive people in this video is giving me whiplash
Timothée's jawline is sharper than the crysknife.
Q - "How many A-list actors do you need for Dune?"
With the video setup, it's SO impressive how much Timothee Chalamet looks like a 50/50 combination of Oscar Isaac and Rebecca Ferguson.
The fact that this was the Sci-Fi novel that started the Sci-Fi boom is absolutely baffling to me. The level of thought that went into the lore is feels like it should be the most recent one. It takes place so far in the future that humans have already created advanced AI, went to war with it, somehow won the war and then collectively banned all kinds of AI/computer technology leading to a sort of reverse renaissance into the religious and mystical. It’s f’ing genius
It's like Oscar Isaac's entire career is a science fiction fantasy where he has to run around in a desert.
Chalamet is hilarious when he says he didn't read Dune when he was young :D Colbert and Denis are like "Dude, you're 6".
"The Desert TAKES away the ego" ❤️ wow
Denis's description of Timotheé was perfect. His intelligent look mixed with his young appearance is what makes him perfect for the role and as a human being haha. He can't be any more intelligent, sensitive, artistic, beautiful, amazing. He is everything that is good in life 😁
“They didn’t shoot Jaws in a swimming pool.” That’s the attitude! xD
I wonder if Timothee intentionally wore that black and green sweater. reminds me of the Atreides banner
Rebecca Ferguson's really showing the quiet, purposeful aspects of her character. It's a real treat! Those piercing eyes - they see, they know. Her loyalty is *earned*, and it makes every character connected to hers stand out all the more. You cannot pull off Dune without a convincingly powerful Jessica.
they really got the hottest cast imaginable for this movie
I have to say, excellent casting for the Atreides family. Paul has his father's eyes and his mother's jawline.
timothee is just so eloquent & passionate. it’s a pleasure to hear him speak about his work
i still can’t believe the fact that zendaya and timothée are gonna be in the same movie.
