"El miedo mata la mente" is the actual official translation of the line in Spain, but it's more like "Fear kills the mind". Javier was remembering from the book, rather than translating it himself.
The problem is that the word "killer" is not used in English the same way as it's more direct translation ("asesino") is used in Spanish. So the direct translation "El miedo es el asesino de la mente" sounds awkward and stilted, so they modified it a bit to make it sound more natural.

It's always interesting when a major actor, showing up for an interview, expresses respect and humility to be in the presence of Stephen Colbert. I really don't think that would apply to any other talk show host (except maybe the late Johnny Carson) (no, not Letterman).

Receiving an offer to wear a stillsuit is right up there with him getting to hold Arwen's sword from LOTR. That's massive. That's certainly very generous.

And chef Jose Andres. Yeah, people in Spain in general is very nice, very laid back, laugh at themselves all the time and care for others for the most part (there is always exceptions like everywhere else but yeah).

I've lived in Spain for over 20 years. There is great regional differences in character like anywhere but in general they are great fun and very comfortable in laughing at themselves. Really sharp sense of humour too 😉

To all those who say he always plays dark characters go and see “The sea inside”. This movie made me fall in love with him as an actor long time ago, before he was so known in Hollywood. And... as much I never have favourites if you ask me about my favourite actor he would be the answer...

Also, "Los lunes al sol"....I don't know the name in English. A great character, as one of a group of friends who are fired from their jobs and struggle as jobless middle-aged men.
