@@enbonj5842 he is incredible. So talented and also has this natural, magnetic charisma. I can't really described the feeling I get from him, he is just incredibly talented, sexy and interesting.
Javier Bardem was, in my opinion, was the best casted actor in Dune. He really was Stilgar. I felt like I wasn't watching an actor play Stilgar, it felt like I saw a man molded by his experience in living and surviving in the desert as a Fremen. He should win an award or something, but he might not bc he's just on screen for a relatively short time.
Yes 💯% He's been on my radar of excellent actors ever since I saw him on the movie "No country for old men." He played that part so well I was scared of him.

Great cast and interview! I liked the fact that everyone get a word in, not just one or two people spoke and the interviewer asked good questions and seemed interested in the topic. In addition, the actors are not only beautiful, but talented.
Wow Cynthia asked such fascinating questions and all the cast also had given such marvelous answers. I read the book when I was 10 some 40 years ago years ago, and still manage to get better insight into the story from this conversation.
Stellan downplays his performance by a longshot. HE WAS MENACING! It was his acting chops come to bear, full force. I almost pissed myself. Don't get me wrong, everyone else brought their A+ game, but holy fuck, Mr. Skarsgård hit that one out of the park!
Very entertaining to watch!!! The host has done such a magnificent job of making everyone feel so relaxed in answering her questions! Everyone had an equal chance and freedom to express themselves!
Not usually one to comment on a RUclips video but if you made it through the entire interview I think you’re left with a certain level of emotions. This interview itself was as beautiful as the movie.

The love that Denis has for the book shines through in the film and you can see that his passion inspired the cast. The attention to detail and nuance was never better encapsulated than in the scene where Jessica is selecting her housekeeper and is interrupted as she starts to say '... of death'. So pertinent to the story.
The interviewer smashed it!!! She got us the viewer's,[tbh I speak for myself, ] to completely revel in the actor's cameraderie and multiple opportunities to fall head over heels in love with each and every one!.
As a fan of the books, and having watched previous adaptations, I can say with confidence that Villenueve's Dune is the definitive adaptation. He really understood the source material and knew what to highlight and what to leave out (although I would have wanted him to highlight how water is such a scarce resource in Arrakis that its entire politics revolves around water, I knew a movie format wouldn't allow him to do it justice. IMO, only a TV series can allow such a nuanced adaptation) The movie is beautifully shot and scored and only an IMAX experience would truly do it justice. It's such a tragedy this came out during COVID as I feel it would have broken box office records, much like Avatar. It's a must-see big screen spectacle, so it's a real shame COVID has limited many people from seeing it on a big screen.
100% agree with this sentiment. I wanted so much to see cultural nuances in Arrakis, it'd have been grand if they could show all those. But I also know that those types of details belong to a longer series, rather than a movie.

Such a great and authentic interviewer, so refreshing to see rather than the obnoxious over the top ones who just try to get viral moments whereas this interviewer really knew what to ask and how to command such a talented bunch!
Just in case you don't know, that is Cynthia Erivo who is an extremely talented actress who has won a Grammy, Emmy and Tony award and been nominated for numerous Academy and Golden Globe awards.
she was absolutely perfect in the role. Denis made the creative decision to cast her as Kynes and it worked very well! I've been so sick of hearing pointless criticism about it for months, glad that she really did Kynes justice in the film and proved all the critics wrong.
Exactly. I am really against genderbending and blackwashing, and even more changing the base material, but she's been fit so well into the role that it not bothered me at all, even as a hard fan on the book.
It's really rare to see an actor who is articulate and eloquent because actors are given scripts, and their job is to memorise and recite lines that others have written for them. The PR that they are doing for the movie is more about appearance. And that is evident here. Timothee is surprisingly well spoken, and not only for his age, but especially for his age. It's so great to see him not falling back on the way millennials speak. But everyone else is really struggling. A lot of empty words and praise for one other
I had no single idea of the previous Dune film nor the book but oh my i watched the new one on IMAX yesterday, and it was phenomenal. It’s epic and visually stunning of a half complete story. Once again Denis Villeneuve and Warner Bros present an amazing film. It’s my best film of 2021 so far. Can’t wait for second installment and yeah WB have basically confirmed the second part.

Regarding actors talking each other up in these promo videos, I used to roll my eyes but recently I was in a really cohesive team project and this really changed my view. I can see how my respect for each person grew through seeing their expertise during the project and the outcome we were all able to achieve for a mutual client.
i love Cynthia, the interviewer. i love her compelling questions. i love how she is genuinely curious on a soul level. i love that she gives the actors time to give absolutely generous answers. i love that she gives every single actors the same amount of attention. like, we need more interviewers like cynthia, where she's exactly focused on the thing that matters in the interview--which is the movie itself--and not something else.
Dune was a trailblazer for its time: a sci-fi novel that introduced serious ecological principles and themes to its story telling and included religion and religious power-based manipulation without sarcasm made it head and shoulders above other novels. The interplay of ecological themes and political power games inspired my life long interest - and my choice of study and work - in planetology. Dune inspired a generation of readers to take ecology and planetary degradation seriously. I applaud Sharon Duncan-Brewster's depiction of Liet-Kynes and introduction of ecological themes even if the film was forced to cut many of the book's ecological notes. May planetology and the ecology of Arrakis be a major theme development in Part 2!

One of the most insightful interviews I've ever seen; every moment of it held such introspection and genuine appreciation for the movie. I truly can not wait to see this movie in real life, I am utterly awe-inspired.
Dave Batista so happy for him ❤️.
He has a beautiful voice
He has no haters. Humility hoes a long way
I wanna watch Dune again just because, like man, you have to watch it in theaters, and also this around the table interview is so great, all the actors in this movie are amazing, I wish Denis & Jason Momoa were there
Waaaatch it in theatres please. Firstly its an amazing experience best fitted for large screens. Secondly, the world needs Dune 2!
Seen it four times at this point, twice in IMAX. An absolute spectacle with something new to discover each time. Absolute grandiose.
I love what Cynthia brought to this interview. She created such an engaging atmosphere for these actors; her questions were genuine and thoughful. Cynthia is a phenomenal actress and musician herself, so I am sure that has something to do with the air of confidence she has conducting this interview. Fantastic.
"I'm not on a jihad across the universe" thanks for clarifying Timothee
Lol.
25:00 "...its a precious treasure that is bringing a lot of misery..." Javier understands the assignment and is secretly preparing for Messiah and Children
Holy cow that question and answer from every actor that took up the last third of the interview was one of the best discussions that has come out of a movie.
Cynthia Eviro asks some great questions, really cool to see a cast of this calibre clearly proud of their roles in such a great film.
watched Dune a couple days ago. it’s well written, it’s visually stunning, with fantastic group of cast. it's confidently executed. goddamn, Denis Villeneuve 👏
and Timothée Chalamet's phenomenal talent, omg, he should forever be praised and never forgotten 🔥
Praised lol
He's going to be a DiCaprio level of fame and skill when he's older. Dudes been amazing in everything and got that charisma. Him or his parents must have made a tonne of great decisions to get him to this point so young but without hard work good decisions aren't enough.
@@enbonj5842 I concur.
@@enbonj5842 he is incredible. So talented and also has this natural, magnetic charisma. I can't really described the feeling I get from him, he is just incredibly talented, sexy and interesting.
What Stellan Skarsgard said about some sci-fi movies being ridiculous because they keep inventing gadgets, LMAO, that is so true,
Loving this cast and also loving that Cynthia Erivo is doing such a good, thoughtful job at interviewing them
Zendaya seems so respectful and humbled. Love how she address everyone with mr. Etc, just shows that she definitely is kind-hearted
I agree. He fully embodied him.
Yes 💯% He's been on my radar of excellent actors ever since I saw him on the movie "No country for old men." He played that part so well I was scared of him.
LMAO i was getting ready to cringe at their answers to the "what is spice to you?" question and then josh brolin said it perfectly at 28:28 "i don't know how this has gone so well, i have no idea haha" perfect hahaha
He was rly funny cutting thru the BS. Need a guy like that around
@@mediumvillain yeah for sure i also wanna see what him and denis are like together cuz from what they say, it sounds pretty good
Great cast and interview! I liked the fact that everyone get a word in, not just one or two people spoke and the interviewer asked good questions and seemed interested in the topic. In addition, the actors are not only beautiful, but talented.
Can we agree on how Rebecca Ferguson, just gets more attractive as the time goes by. She is stunning!
She’s otherworldly beautiful it’s insane!
'Liet Kynes', spoken like a true planetary ecologist. Thank you.
planetolgist, please
16:43 timmy tryin to fall out of a whole nother chair
😂😂😂😂
Josh Brolin does such a great job of humbling himself and the other cast members to keep the energy light and positive. Such a refreshing dude.
Wow Cynthia asked such fascinating questions and all the cast also had given such marvelous answers. I read the book when I was 10 some 40 years ago years ago, and still manage to get better insight into the story from this conversation.
This man Timothée Chalamet is everything you need💕.....
Stellan downplays his performance by a longshot. HE WAS MENACING! It was his acting chops come to bear, full force. I almost pissed myself. Don't get me wrong, everyone else brought their A+ game, but holy fuck, Mr. Skarsgård hit that one out of the park!
Nobody acts with their eyes better than him.
AGREED!!!!
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. E vil.
He's always humble and downplaying his greatness when being interviewed, but his acting is absolutely remarkable.
His performance was mind-blowing on this film. Sure the make-up gives him the look of evil but his superb acting gives the role its weight.
Very entertaining to watch!!! The host has done such a magnificent job of making everyone feel so relaxed in answering her questions! Everyone had an equal chance and freedom to express themselves!
I like how as the interview goes on they start chilling with each other like a bunch of friends.
Not usually one to comment on a RUclips video but if you made it through the entire interview I think you’re left with a certain level of emotions. This interview itself was as beautiful as the movie.
Cynthia is such a fantastic interviewer for being new. She's already a pro.
Totally! That is Exactly what I thought as well! 😊😀🤓😎 👌🏼 and I ‘her’ specific British accent! 🙂😌😍
I have one suggestion for her. Decaf
her questions were a bit lacking.
@@sabba_dabba8649: aaaandd another tip: get rid of those damn crazy claw fingernails!!! and in bright blue.!! 😢😣😔☹️ 😪I I hate that stuff - that needs to be prohibited!!
@@mcveljo why u triggered tho
i can't belive the interviewer is new to this interviewing thing, she's a natural i didn't even notice. and she's beautiful
She's new to interviewing but is an Oscar nominated actress. I think that her being an actress means that she knows what questions to ask/how to ask questions in order to get there most out of actors
@@CJAmara omg she's so talented!! i had no idea
I think Cynthia Erivo was perfect to moderate a Dune talking panel. I always get this ethereal air/aura coming from her.
The love that Denis has for the book shines through in the film and you can see that his passion inspired the cast. The attention to detail and nuance was never better encapsulated than in the scene where Jessica is selecting her housekeeper and is interrupted as she starts to say '... of death'. So pertinent to the story.
Dave Bautista is so underrated, his performance in denis’s previous film Blade Runner 2049 was stellar
This was a damn good interview, loved every minute of it!
great questions by the interviewer, a deep and insightful conversation guided by a skilled interviewer with intelligent and talented actors
So proud of Dave and Mamoa! From their Amazing performance on SEE to now DUNE, what a success!
The signature chair tilt back that Timmy does, I love it
The interviewer smashed it!!! She got us the viewer's,[tbh I speak for myself, ] to completely revel in the actor's cameraderie and multiple opportunities to fall head over heels in love with each and every one!.
I wish Jason and Charlotte were there, too.
IMO, only a TV series can allow such a nuanced adaptation)
The movie is beautifully shot and scored and only an IMAX experience would truly do it justice.
Rebecca Ferguson is so pretty; she looks like Timmy's sister, not his mum
She's only about 13 years older than him.
Don't care for her severe haircut.
Her accent too... Beautiful!
@@milton1448 That comment reveals your character.
@@konrah1486 How does commenting about a haircut mean anything other than it not a style I like on her? Go push your narrative on someone who may care what you think .
This was so well done. All the actors were so eloquent. I loved it.
I've been cautious about getting hyped for this movie but honestly, right now the fanboy in me is so excited to see it! I re-read Dune earlier this year for the first time in 20 years having considered it arguably my favorite novel in that entire period, I cannot wait to see how this cast and director recreate it!
Liet Kynes's gender being switched absolutely did not take anything away from the material, dare I say it's better for it 😌
she was absolutely perfect in the role. Denis made the creative decision to cast her as Kynes and it worked very well! I've been so sick of hearing pointless criticism about it for months, glad that she really did Kynes justice in the film and proved all the critics wrong.
@@naurrr Critics suck Rey
Exactly. I am really against genderbending and blackwashing, and even more changing the base material, but she's been fit so well into the role that it not bothered me at all, even as a hard fan on the book.
What a cast! Great interview with really deep and meaningful answers.
Cannot wait to this, in the biggest screen possible.
This is such a great video, such strong minds and talents all together sharing their intellect and pride for life itself. So excited for this film!
A lot of empty words and praise for one other
the whole cast is so good at coming up with essays on the spot 😆
Impatiently awaiting Dune Part 2. The first one was so good. Superb cast!
Did watch this 4 times, too. Once in IMAX, experience of a lifetime. Read at least the book! It is so mind opening... a great saga must flow!
i love how it seemed like timothee had that little-brother-kind-of-in-awe of Brolin and Denis and their relationship.
Fan of the original but Absolutely loved the movie. Watched it twice at the theater. Excellent cast. Timothee is a superb actor. The King is another fave of mine. He acts so beautifully.
Cynthia is such an engaging interviewer!! More of her please!
The roster is so packed it takes time for you to notice Jason Momoa's absence.
Utterly amazing. To see the whole cast congregate like this is so special. Hats off.
Amazing conversation. My respect for all ten of them just soared to new heights! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
The casting and acting were brilliant. Rebecca Ferguson was the stand out to me.
rebbeca ferguson actually carried this show she gave such a deep touch to this movie
oh I love the book, I loved Lynch's Dune.. and I am so excited to see this one.. ASAP..tomorrow is the day..the cast is incredible, when I heard director Denis Villeneuve explaining why he did with this movie what he did, how much love he put in it, i get chills.. I can't wait till tomorrow
Regarding actors talking each other up in these promo videos, I used to roll my eyes but recently I was in a really cohesive team project and this really changed my view. I can see how my respect for each person grew through seeing their expertise during the project and the outcome we were all able to achieve for a mutual client.
Fun interview. Loved it. What a great set of actors and humans.
i love Cynthia, the interviewer. i love her compelling questions. i love how she is genuinely curious on a soul level. i love that she gives the actors time to give absolutely generous answers. i love that she gives every single actors the same amount of attention. like, we need more interviewers like cynthia, where she's exactly focused on the thing that matters in the interview--which is the movie itself--and not something else.
Timothy and Zandeya have such great style.
What a nice interview/conversation!
Rebecka and Stellan, two great swedish actors 🇸🇪
Timothee is awesome I love how he was into wrestling and Batista’s entrance music 🤣
Wow, that spice discussion was just mind blowing!
