This is by far the best tutorial for this song ! TY So much brother ! Yes ! I subscribed as well !!!! 😁✌💕
Speaking as a half-ass, ex-wannabe, bass player, who just took up the bass again, after a 19 year layoff, I have to say that the bassline is what makes this song great, aside from Chrissie Hynde's wonderful vocals of course.
What's nice about this song is, the bassline and the guitar parts are both pretty simple. The guitarist can wander around and still find his place again and he won't have to blame the bass player (as usual), when he gets lost.
"You must be playing it wrong, man, because it sounds terrible!"
"Look! I'm playing only one string at a time. You're playing four. Which one of us has the highest odds of getting it wrong? Fix your fucking chord, dude!"
Sorry, I just couldn't resist a little bass player humor. Great lesson.

Thanks for the lesson. Always liked this song and it’s fun to play as well. Very well done sir. I wish RUclips was around when I started playing at age 15. That was 33 years ago, can’t imagine the player I could be today. Kids are pretty lucky these days to have this platform to learn from with great teachers like you. This is a great instructional video! This is absolutly one of the very top videos that clicked for me to learn. Some overexplain and confuse me, some dont really show you what they are doing. Finally i found song bike, i like the way you teach. Thank you. For me it was an easy learn. I apreciate the way you put it all together, im going to subscribe and check out some more of your work and ill let you know how i make out. Thanks again, a fellow guitar , iwas trying to think of the right word and nut was on my phones spellcheck bar! Sweet, i am a guitar nut. I love guitars, all kinds. Rhythm guitar is on the upbeat.
Drums are playing straight time focused on down beat.
Bass is playing drag triplets
Regardless of what instrument you’re playing, you’re on your own
