I’m just saying my mom would not have been like “silly boy!” I would’ve already seen heaven lol
I like that he spoke directly to the child and it wasn't just a converstation between adults leaving the child out of it..he could feel like he was 100% involved in his pet's health care
The only adult in the story is the eldest boy The mother is a miserable irresponsible who shouldn't even keep custody of her children
I love that about Dr. Chris. He gives the medicine straight on.
@@noxianegmail6835 That’s rather harsh, especially considering you don’t know all of the circumstances surrounding what happened. Just a short 5 minute bathroom break can be enough time for a child to get into something they shouldn’t.
So true, little Hugo was the owner and Dr Chris treated him as such ❤
@@noxianegmail6835 let's not forget that she also raised Hugo and he's a fine boy.
All animals are precious. I feel the mother didn't take the accident seriously.
Hugo is adorable. Alfred is what we might refer to as a "little sh*t." He showed no concern, at least in the video, for how badly he hurt Sugar. Even if it was accidental, a little remorse would help his brother feel better.
I agree. Hes a little sh!t because of the mom. You can see the age difference while I can tell Hugo had more strict up bringing, he's calm, respectful, understanding, and listens. while Alfred gets to run around like a wild child who ate 10 bags of sugar prolly with no repremanding on his actions. Like sticking his tounge out at the camera and Them punching on chris. I understand kids will be kids but that's teaching your kids it's OK to hit people. I can see how Chris is irritated the mom is just smiling about the whole situation while Hugo is genuinely concerned and upset. If a person gonna have more than one child you cannot favor one over the other no matter what..
if my siblings were to do that I would beat the sh*t out of them with a stick or a bat or whatever hurts the most
its still a rodent lol
@@thanos8948that's the same saying as it just a dog or cat. All pets matter mate, guinea pigs have a strong love around the world just as much as a dog or cat, so no it's not just a "rodent"
This was a proper teaching moment for the younger brother. Mom clearly favors Alfred. Hugo seems like a responsible pet parent.
Coz Alfred is curly hair too
Alfred needs to learn responsibility for his actions, Mama is not taking a strong enough action to prevent this type of situation from happening again. From his behavior I think he's the golden child who does no wrong in Mamas eyes. Hugo is a champion, hes a excellent pet parent. Maybe a future vet?
What I don’t understand is how/why did the mama allow that to happen in the first place? She should have known that it was dangerous to let such a young child carelessly put a fragile creature like a guinea pig on a trampoline in a first place. There was nothing cute/funny about it.
What bothers me is the child does not own up to what he did. He should not have been allowed to touch the Guinea pigs. In his mind he does not think what he did was wrong. Not enough supervision. He is a spoiled brat. A child needs to be around 10 yrs old before they really know right from wrong...can you imagine if Alfred was around a younger child and not supervised
I totally agree with you . The mother is actually the one who should be blamed in this case .
Leave them alone accident happen
@@kittygaillot2286 she probably didn't know until it happened

There was nothing “silly“ about what happened to that poor guinea pig. I don’t understand why the mom/parents would allow such a young child to carelessly put a guinea pig on a trampoline in the first place, especially since a guinea pig is quite fragile. And Yet, no discipline was instilled while poor Hugo spent hours devoting his love and care to his beloved pet doing all he could to rehabilitate her and help her to walk again. I’m just happy sweet little sugar survived, and I’m sure Hugo is taking more proper precautions to make sure that she will be out of harms way, especially of his little brother.
My son got a guinea pig from his daycare center when he was 4. He was always so gentle with her we never had any concerns about his taking her out of her cage by himself.
We don't know what occurred off camera but not confident the youngster learned from his actions
What annoys me the most about this is that it seems that the kid didn't even get any disciplinary punishment. The mother seems to just laugh at it. This is how you raise a spoiled psycho kid.
She called him “silly” for almost causing permanent damage or the death of his brother’s precious friend.
Agreed!! Wholeheartedly! And if he laughs about it when he turns 21, then something is wrong with him and the rest of them. It''s NEVER funny to laugh at possiby causing an animal to HAVE to be put down.
I would not be able to stop myself from berating both the parent and the kids. Owners like this make my blood boil. 🤬🤬🤬
Psycho mother and psycho kids 🤬
So, happy for Sugar!! Her recovery and a loving owner and protector, Hugo.
Hugo cared for her so beautifully 💙
Yeah, well, no pet should be living in that household with a mentally disturbed child like the younger brother & a foolish out of touch irresponsible mother.
I work at a guinea pig rescue centre here in the UK with over 100 guinea pigs and seeing them in pain is so sad.🐹
We once made an old piggie who had a dislocated hip a wheelchair out of sticks!
Wow, what a sight that would have been 😂💙
Aww bless you all ❤️
It's concerning a parent would have allowed this to happen in the first place. I hope Sugar stays safe.
She's calling her son silly... But what a silly mother to not teach her son gentleness, responsiblity and awareness of a pet.
Preach!!!!!
Not only silly but straight up a bad person 🤦♀️ I feel bad for her son
@@strawberribubbletea me too sweet. Running your kids down will stay with them until they're older. We all thrive on encouragement especially youngsters. HEALTHY discipline where necessary and you've nurtured a potentially healthy adult. Poor boy x
@@butterflydiva1 agreed ❤️
No animal great or small should be left unsupervised without an adult always present and using the situation to teach gentleness, awareness and responsibility.
Great job, Hugo and Dr. Chris! Guinea pigs are incredibly fragile and I’m honestly surprised she got better! Such a happy ending. Now hopefully Sugar won’t be enjoying the trampoline again 😏
Sugar's trampolining career is most likely over 😂❤
@@BondiVet to be fair... she didnt choose to go on that trampoline and get crushed by a "silly boy"
Alfred is a horrid brat! Bad on the mum for allowing such behavior, and more bad on her for laughing at his antics! He shouldn't be allowed near his brothers pets or belongings...
Dreampainter2011
AMEN AND AMEN TO THAT!!!
The fact that the parents let that happen...so irresponsible
They may not have been aware, kid could've snuck him out (as young as they are, they know when they are doing something naughty and will be evasive) and you normally don't need a constant eye on them in an enclosed area outside
@@ShadowWolflonewolf I'm talking the fact that the kid even could reach to the animal's enclosure. It should be high up and how do you not hear it? You should think about things like that first, it could've been a tragedy, especially when the boy is so emotionally connected to his little friend. It's an accident that could've been prevented, but the mom seemed like she didn't even care.
@@ShadowWolflonewolf Mother was negligent. A young child (he looks around 4) should not be playing unsupervised. Where the trampoline is, is quite a distance from the house. To get the Guinea Pig from it's enclosure/hutch, onto the trampoline then play on the trampoline took more than a minute. While the older boy is well-mannered and obviously loves his Guinea Pig, his younger brother looks like an overindulged, rude, spoilt brat. There is no way I would have allowed him to stick his tongue out at people either. Unless the parents wake up, that boy is destined to be trouble when he's older.
@@Pythonaria If he was my kid, the trampoline would not be in the yard after that. It would have been gone.
@@Pythonaria I think Alfred is a golden child, if he was mine he would have received a stern talking to about responsibility to take care of small animals! I am afraid this won't be the last time he hurts an animal because of neglecting to think about those around him!
Very sad that this happened to sugar and the look on the little boy's face thanks Dr Chris for explaining to the boys hope she recovers and can walk again
Often times endings like this don’t occur. Great video.
Jesus... If I would be Alfred my mom had slapped me multiple times for such bad behaviours. I hope Hugo and his guinea pig are safe from this little brat and the parents watch more out for their kids....
The mother seemed to not really care its a ashame
WHY would anyone let an annoying hyperactive toddler put a tiny guinea pig on a TRAMPOLINE!?!?
This vet is a straight up chad in every sense of the word!
The guinea pigs enclosure should have been where the younger brother could not have had access to it. Obviously the older boy is responsible enough, but the younger one needs a bit of discipline.
You are right! When my sister was really young and invited friends to our home I or my parents would always keep guinea pig separated from them or carefully watch.
It's not even recommended to own a guinea pig when there are little kids able to reach those little creatures
Dr. Chris was great with Hugo. He treated him like an owner and not just a little kid. He was honest with him in a way that was age appropriate.
This was so irresponsible! I hate when uneducated adults give their kids pets as toys. I have two guinea pigs myself and this is just heartbreaking but overall I’m just glad she managed to recover ❤️
Please don’t allow access to delicate pets for small children. Put a lock on the hutch. It might mean a minute of inconvenience having to go unlock it when needed but from experience, aside from the trauma to the animal, it could end up saving you $000s literally 😱😱😱
The injections helped Sugar. Along with rehilbation and food. Way to go Dr. Chris and Hugo.
I like the way he said, "Hey Suges"
That younger boy is a spoiled brat.
I’m so glad Sugar was ok ❤️🩹.
Dr. Chris Brown ... you did. Great job as usual 👏👏👏👏💕💕💕💕
Alfred is a monster. Didn’t care at all about the pet.
The fact the child even decided to put the guinea pig on the trampoline is a complete failure of parenting.
Poor baby girl! Kisses to her!
Poor guinea pig. It isn't a rough play pet. Next time, kids, leave the guinea pig in its cage or, at most, out of it under gentle supervision -- and leave the rough play for dogs. Big dogs, that can take it.
Like a staffie, or a German Shepard, great dogs for rougher play, personally I recommend black Labradors, as they are friendly and great with kids, and naturally playful
Ummm. The silly boy??? Nope. The negligent parent for not watching her child and ensuring that the guinea pig is treated safely and with respect and not as a toy. This is upsetting.
"silly boy" maam your son literally almost crushed an animal and caused a ton of suffering for it. i understand that your younger son is probably your favoured child out of the two given how much you were holding him but... you still need to discipline him??? not call him "silly" and start laughing for crushing an animal?? put a lock on the guinea pig's cage?? this never should have happened and yet she's just laughing and calling her kid silly
Wow doctor Chris you are an amazing human being. You never fail to touch my heart in regards to the way you communicate with your patients. Your one and a million mate 😉
What a brat little brother 'Hugo protect your guinea pig at all cost and the mother 🤦🏽♀️ discipline your your child.
WHY PARENTS DO YOU NOT TEACH BY EXAMPLE?? Your children need to know how to care and respect and love and honour and protect ALL creatures and humans too. It begins with "HUMANITY" yet again to fail a precious soul and not take accountability for their own bad teachings of their children and for their children not to be held accountable for their cruel behaviour. It's a ripple effect that will go on FOREVER in every aspect of life. If not for Chris and Hugo that little soul would have died but endured terrible pain!! And despite this PARENTS DID NOTHING?? BEYOND COMPREHENSION!! WAKE UP ALL PARENTS PLEASE!!🐾⚖️🐾
Great Dr Chris brown I just love watching you working you animals 💙
I surely hope the vets on bondi educate children on the importance of animal care. AND the parents! If the parents are not teaching responsibility then the kids SHOULDN’T have any kind of pet!
M just so happy that he was able to walk again❤
Hugo has a really, really sweet eyes and smile. ❤️❤️❤️
Aww sugar looks like my first piggy, Cookie! She was my best friend, my special friend. Made me tear up to see how much she looked like my late beloved girl! Lots of Love
Leaving kids alone with animals is a parents responsibility to take accountability for. I have Guinea pigs as an adult woman and I could never imagine giving them over to kids who don’t have control over their motor skills or a comprehension of consequence. Guinea pigs are so sensitive, this is absolutely on the parent. Also, I hope the vet let them know sugar needs a proper enclosure, 24/7 hay, and a friend or herd. That’s the vets responsibility to educate on proper care.
I know it was an accident but I would hate my brother for a while after that lol
The Guinea pig crying broke my heart 😢😢
Happy that Hugo an Sugar will continue to live a happy life,,no need to write about the mother or Alfred read comments it has already been said. Thank goodness for Dr. his face expression said it all💞🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
That boy is spoiled and will do it again.
I’m so Happy for you Hugo😀♥️n for Your Sugar🌸♥️. Praise GOD♥️🙌🎶♥️❣️
N Thank You Also Dr. Vet💐♥️🎈❣️
Mom has her hands full with her bouncing off the wall kids, I’d say. 😁
I’m so happy everything turned out for Hugo and his Guinea pig because Hugo loves him so much and it was great to see Hugo exercising the Guinea pig and getting him to walk.
Hugo was so dedicated with his care, he'd make a great future vet! 💙💙
@@BondiVet I think so too!! It was so great to see his huge smile when he was showing Chris how he had the Guinea pig walk towards the food. Smart thinking!!👏🏻👏🏻🥰💗💗
Mom needs to control them
I’m crying. Not because the boy is kinda sad. It’s the fact that a sweet baby Guinea pig had that happen
I love animals. I'm so heartbroken for it on the inside
So happy Sugar is doing well ❤️🩹 but definitely keep her away from little brother Alfred. He's a menace, lol. Hugo did great with Sugar's aftercare and hopefully will grow up to be a veterinarian and be as awesome as Dr. Chris. ❤️🐹👏
Alfred behaves like a little brat. I'd be ploughing him if he messes with any of my pets. I am curious how he came to be able to take Sugar into the trampoline enclosure with him in the first place. He still behaves like he needs constant supervision.
Seems to me he dosent care and the same goes for his mum
Reminds me of how special my Rocky The Hamster is :)
I’m so mad at the mom and the little brother how can she let this happen and not punish the child for hurting sugar like that
Guinea pigs aren't suitable pets for really young children because of their small fragile bodies I actually think they're better for adults he's lucky that she was able to recover
Great job Chris
i’m so happy it’s walking again lol
it's not like those kids are out of control. (cough) they need a huge dog, not a teeny tiny pig
The older brother does understand that you need to be careful with them, and they did say Sugar was his pet. The younger one clearly didn't understand that the poor cavy would be terrified in a situation where the ground moves under her and bounces her around.. they aren't cats or squirrels, so they won't always land on their feet, which then explains why her spine could've been twisted from landing badly. I see where you're coming from though.
Hope mom gets a crate for guinea pig that locks so little brother can't access the pet. Big brother should only have access until little brother is older and understands.
You did awesome Hugo👏🐦.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄🇺🇸
My boys are like that regarding their cats . The oldest, his cat is Shy Kitty Chandler, he can get mean when bothered. My youngest, his kitty is Alita Battle Angel and when they mess with each other’s cats, the fur flies between the two boys
Is one of your children sweet and caring and the other a mean little psycho like these two?
@@nancybrouse5070 both of them can be sweet but the older one can be aggressive, autism meltdowns are not like regular meltdowns. I don’t go shopping or to stores or anything like that unless someone is with me
Where was his parent? Pity for the animal. Costly lesson for the boy. Too bad.
What an irresponsible parent and such a bratty child.
That poor, helpless little Guinea pig. The suffering Hugo went through! This video is disgusting to watch!
I feel really bad for Hugo. It's clear that he is very responsible with Sugar but Alfred isn't very careful (considering he's a little kid) and it's crystal clear than their mom favors Alfred.
Poor little thing I very sad now 😭
I miss my childhood guinea pig. I never threw them or drew on them or jumped with them. I loved them so much and fed them ALL the time, I spent new years with my very last guinea pig. And that night she died.... Now I am all alone and I can't get another rodent, life for me is so hard without a companion.
Kids lie when they mess up. The kid who jumped on the guinea pig needs to learn to take responsibility, young as he is. "Silly boy" doesn't cut it. He needs to be told that the animal could have died. It's a teaching moment, mom. Use it.
My parents would not have tolerated me sticking my tongue out nor would they have found it cute.
i prayed to Jesus that she would get better
Glad that sugar got lucky enough to recover fully. Hugo clearly loves and cares for her ready to do whatever he could to help her recover. Im sure he'll continue to be a great owner to her and any future animals he owns.
Personally I am concerned about the fact 'silly boy' was how the mum responded to it as I know my parents would have been a lot less chill in that position. Plus the seemingly being ignorant to how bad the situation was, Sugar easily could've died, and the other behaviour shown like the way he acted towards Chris for no reason, who clearly was uncomfortable with how the whole situation happened and the younger child's behaviour afterwards their actions.
Hopefully Alfred grows out of it or I can imagine there being bigger issues in future not necessarily just around animals.
First off .. Wonderful job Hugo in nursing Sugar back to health!
Second .. With all due respect Mom ~ May I suggest YOU pay closer attention to what the boys are doing with their pets. I’m quite sure it had to be very embarrassing to you that this accident ever happened. I know “boys will be boys” BUT they’re both young and still need supervision, especially Alfred at all times. While Alfred is acting like little boys sometimes do .. it’s not always ok! Mom, this is where you should’ve been paying attention. I’m so sorry that Sugar, a Guinea Pig took the brunt of the “trampoline accident” .. but as an Emergency Department Nurse .. I can’t even tell you just how many horrific and life altering and ending “accidents” I’ve taken care of due to parents negligence!
Thank God Sugar has recovered .. But Alfred could’ve jumped on another one of your kids neck, back etc., causing a catastrophic event up to death. I’m sure you wouldn’t be saying, “oh silly boy!”, then!
Teach these children safety, wrong from right, love for animals, daily! They’re little sponges at this age .. teach them well ❤️

Dude, that little kid being so close to the guinea pig was concerning me.
I would have kept him at a distance.
little one wold loose trampolene privleges for a while seems there was no punishment or remorse
Imo,
He would LOSE THAT TRAMPOLINE FOREVER!
He OBVIOUSLY can't be trusted to leave big brother's pet alone,
And the "mother" OBVIOUSLY can't be bothered to teach the little brat anything!😡😡😡
It is a happy ending 😀 :)
Poor baby
“Silly boy took her on the trampoline.” No. Not silly. A seriously dangerous act. The kid might be young but don’t say he was silly to do this. That makes him think it wasn’t a big deal. He needs to understand he could have killed her. He didn’t seem to face any consequences at all.
A child that age is old enough to be told how their actions can affect others. I would have grounded him off the trampoline for a month.
If you own Guinea pigs then you need to look after them!!! You DONT EVER bring them onto the trampoline even if your sitting with them it’s so dangerous..I hope The little boy who jumped on her gets a good consequence and learns he’d not to harm animals!
If the parent thinks it's OK to allow children to treat an animal like a toy with the resulting consequence. They should not have pets until they are old enough to respect them.
Why was Sugar on the trampoline with children jumping on it? They are not a squeaky toy. Glad she recovered…..this time.
The little boy might not be aware of what he's doing now, but he's going to grow up to be a trouble maker if there's no one to discipline him. There are times for strict parenting!
It seems that some REALLY FIRM rules needed to have been in place in a household with a small animal and a small child. Teaching them compassion and explaining paralysis or death at their level of understanding could have averted this problem. (Or perhaps she did do all of that and her child still chose to jump with the piggie.) I just didn't raise my five kiddos to stick their tongue out at adults/visitors. Between that and being called a silly boy for hurting a small animal, I've thinking Sugar is in a precarious situation.
Bless 🙏 the blond haired vet in this 🥺 episode. If all vets were like him and showed they actually cared rather than pretending to hide it/fakely 🙂 and were at every decent vets rather than vets who think they know what Thier doing but don't 🤷 sadly like pets at home 🙄! By far this guy is a decent vet by best example 🤷. Bismillah and aslamuailkliem to you Bondi vets 👳🐾
It's so cute 😍
Why do you take the ginnipig on the trampoline
It’s really annoying because why take a Guinea pig on a trampoline
this reminds me of one of my first guinea pigs, his name was finnely and he was a very jumpy guinea pig and i mean jumpy, my cousin decided to pick him up WITHOUT asking me, and next thing you know shes screaming and i look on the ground and the piggy is on the floor not looking too good. i was doing my best to see if anything bad had happened, luckily nothing serous happened. but a few months later he did sadly pass, we ( my mom and i ) decided to use a different bedding, ( horse pellets or something like that ) and turns out my guinea pig was rare and was allergic to this stuff. he passed away in my arms at only 1 1/2
Alfred is a horrible kid the mother should have took that trampoline away immediately
kids should not be on a trampoline, period.... way too dangerous
This family should never own any more pets after this
How long did it take for him to walk again? I have a similar issue with my guinea
Time for me to take the guini pig home to love and care for … not to be left with a parent laughing and not teaching her children responsibility of a pets life. Shameful! 😢😢😢
Yay, Sugar❣️
Alfred is the exact opposite of hugo. hope the parents, discipline this kid before it get out hands, because from the looks of it, he is never gonna stop
kids need to learn the fragility of life
