The 1A Auto Team does the best overall job with instructional videos on RUclips. The sound, lighting, and camera work are great and the people know what they're doing. Very professional job. Thanks!

Thanks again 1A auto! For a "professional" mechanic I find myself looking up an embarrassing amount of your videos. I'll definitely be purchasing your parts over rock auto whenever I can.

Thank you so much for this video! I have never changed shocks in ANY vehicle before and this video made it possible for me to do so! Keep up the great work!

I viewed this last night and changed both rear shocks first thing this morning. Great video with invaluable information. As I worked on my drive I jacked up the whole rear of the car on the axle beam then lowered it onto the jack stands which I had placed under the spring pans as I thought this was the best way of replicating the normal loading of the car prior to tightening up the lower bush bolts. Most grateful for the help this video provided and my son’s UK Fiesta is nice and silent over the bumps so he is delighted!

@@1AAuto honestly, the total cost of the shocks was $60.00, so $60.00 as opposed to the dealership price of $375.00 and I was done in under an hour. So I guess I should really say thank you for saving me over $300 🙂

    Good video.
Without a lift, it's easier to do it if you remove the inner lining since you get easier access to the upper mount. But just removing the clips of the inner lining on either side of the shock works too.

Intalled the TRQ struts and Shocks in my 2013 Ford Fiesta and now getting an intermittent high-pithced squeak in the rear. I double-checked the torque at 18 ft-lbs on top and 85 on the bottom. Any thoughts on what the cause is and a possible solution?

I'm getting a thump thump sound going over a speed bump or going up slightly into drive at slow speed at rear driver side. Could it be a worn out shocker? Fiesta St that's done 55k miles 6yr old. I've so far checked the springs and replaced the dampners at the top of them.

Good tutorial. Thanks. I think you over torqued the shock bolt to the shock housing though, it's supposed to be 12-13 ft lbs, at least on my 2011 Mazda 2, which is the same shock and similar suspension setup. Mazda recommends 49-59 ft lbs for the bottom shock bolt too, not 85, but maybe Ford is different. The 10mm upper nuts were the same at 18 ft lbs.
