If you get tempted you can try to trick your brain by pretending that you’re smoking or you can try none nicotine vapor that I tried using to quit. Although vapor is not healthy because of other chemicals but at least the worse one is not in there which is nicotine and that’s the true addictive source.
The only thing that can stop you is when you dont have anything around you that can trigger you cravings. Its really hard but you have to keep yourself busy and be determined if you really want to quit. Lets do this together! You can do it!
Started smoking at 17 years old. I'm 58 now. I've been smoke free for 3 months. I feel a lot better now. The cravings for nicotine are so strong but you can overcome. Don't let yourself be defeated. You are the master of your own person. Don't wait for the doctor to tell you that you have a serious life-threatening illness from smoking. That would be terrifying. Fear of getting sick should motivate us to quit for good.
I quit smoking cold turkey at age 31, after having smoked about 30-40 cigarettes daily for 17 years. It was tough, but today 30 years later, I can honestly say it was the best thing I have ever done in my life. I have also been able to avoid any sickness due to my smoking.
What ever you do, if you have quit smoking, DO NOT give in to temptation. Smoking is the absolute worst thing you can to do to your body. Not just your lungs, but everything. Just think this: why would you directly ingest poison into your body?
I can say that smoking is honestly the weirdest addiction I’ve ever experienced the buzz from nicotine only lasts a total of 10 mins. But the act of doing it feels great. Also the cravings are so strong for an effect that’s not even worth it.
Here's why I stopped (started in 1957 at 15) smoking in 1973. A program about tobacco and it's addiction was on a public TV station. It showed a glass shed about 15 X15X12. They filled it with smoke as thick as they could. The voice over said-----You would probably not go into that building and take a deep breath because your eyes would tell your brain there is dangerous chemicals and smoke in there. Continuing, the voice over said--when you draw on a tobacco products like cigarettes', pipe, cigar, etc. your eyes do not have the chance to see the dangerous smoke/chemicals going directly into your lungs. I said to my wife, that makes a lot of good sense I think I'll quit. I had a lighted Cigarette between my fingers, I finished it and it was my last. 48 years ago. I admit I craved a cigarette especially at work for about 3 to 5 days. After 5 to 10 days The craving went away and I was no longer desperate for one. After about a month or so it was---I did not smoke yesterday and I am not smoking today. After about 3 months I did not miss them at all. Are they addictive? Yes! Can you stop? Yes, I did! It's none of my business if you smoke. To me your smoking is like you fell off a cliff but your hanging on to the edge. I just tossed you a rope, whether you grab it or not is up to you.
I quit smoking, but I'm only on my 11th day of not smoking and Thank God I don't feel like smoking. Ever since quitting I feel an increase an energy and overall balance in my body. I don't get headaches anymore, I don't feel disoriented, etc. Never realized how badly cigerettes were effecting me until I quit.
I started smoking because of stress and was always thinking to quit once life becomes easy, well I understood one thing in life stress and difficulties never go away we got live with it so I quit now it’s been 10 days. I know some damages are not reversible but I’ll never smoke again. Thank god for giving me this wisdom
Smoking killed my dad during my freshmen year of college, he was 41 and looked healthy but he had a heart attack. We tried for years to get him to stop but he just couldnt give it up. If you have people who care about you please dont smoke, and if you already do just stop smoking nobody wins in this situation.

December 18th has been 6 months since i quit. Its been a life changer. If your in the process of quitting stick with it. In the end the cravings will stop and before you know it your living a better and healthier life.
When I quit smoking at age 31, I sucked on Hall's mentho lyptus cough drops when I had the urge to smoke. They definitely helped. Today, I am 61 and have never smoked another cigarette since. Life is beautiful without the poison called cigarettes.
whenever I have the urgency to smoke, I just watch this vids and made me realize again not to smoke. Happy 1yr smoke free aniv. to me. Quit smokin guys and live healthy.
smoking from 2004 tried quitting few times and longest period was 6 months damn this is a headache I will try again hopefully who ever smokes or planning to smoke should stop anyhow it is nothing but trouble
As someone who has battled asthma for over a decade due to bad local air quality, I knew that smoking would exacerbate the problem. That, and the fact that my dad used to smoke gave me all the reasons I need to never light up. Dad eventually quit, but I’ve never touched tobacco and I don’t intend to.
This will be 9 years smoke free for me. I smoked 7 years and quit after I started having chest pains. The first thing I noticed when quitting was how much better I could smell, my chest pains went away also. Now I am doing well and oddly enough I get a craving still once in a blue moon but tell my mind to shut up and the urge passes
Same man. I am in my 7th hour of quitting because of chest pains. Now I don’t wanna look back to smoking weed or cigarette anymore. Hope I can do it 🙏🙏
Sadly, I watched this with a cigarette in my hand-used to be an athlete, former military member, health fanatic..it’s amazing how making a few bad choices has caused a battle with addiction to cigarettes. I used to get on my mother and sister, and then like an idiot, I did the same thing. My advice to myself and others (the people who never have smoked, it’s much easier for you to shake your finger at us, though I get it, I used to be there) is to try your best to replace the cigarette with another habit-you have to find something to take it’s place, and if anyone is depressed and smoking, it makes it that much more difficult, or just in a bad place in your life in general will allow smoking to be harder to kick. I think that’s what a lot of people overlook is the underlying reason why someone picks up a cigarette (or anything destructive for that matter) to begin with.
I am in the exact same boat as you. Used to be an elite athlete. absolute health fanatic. Used to pick on everyone who smoked around me... And here I am smoking a pack a day... I am now throwing it all away and not touching or getting close to a cigarette ever again in my life. I had the strength to conquer greater challenges!!
Logan Jericho it's also a get away from a stressful situation. Now when I'm getting stressed out I have to almost meditate where as smokers get time to go outside for a cigarette.
Smoking killed my mother. It gave her skin cancer, heart attack, and ultimately a pulmonary embolism. I had to put up with it for 24 years of my life. The whole no-smoking thing is a silver lining to my mom's death.
I started smoking in the army. Worst choice I've made. Forget all the health issues, cigarettes are fucking expensive. On a good note, I'm close to quitting. I'm down to just a couple smokes a day. Now and then I can even go a day or two before I break and need a smoke. It's hard as hell, but I know I can kick this addiction soon.
Anja Llama Thanks, it's always nice to hear support from people. Honestly, it was the birth of my son that made me buckle down and really commit to quitting. I don't wanna die at 50 when he still needs his dad's guidance. I know I still needs my 50 year old dad's guidance on things. Life's weird and tough for a young man. Can't abandon my son to that for smokes.
It took me a few atempts to stop smoking. I would go 2 or 3 days without and then relapsed. 7 weeks without a smoke now . Still have the cravings but dont wanna go back to be a smoker again.
Goncalo Martins My dad, who also quit smoking about 15 years ago, told me that the craving will never go away. You'll always want a smoke. Which makes the idea even more daunting. But congrats dude. Best of luck to you.
Freedom_Ninja heard that from other people that the cravings never go away..i just hope they get easier to cope as time goes . Thanks man. If i can do it you can too.
I am really proud of my self. I didn't know that i will be able yo do it after smoking for almost 15 yrs. But yes it is happening. Now the approach is totally different. I work out daily and eat healthy. It feels like i was in some trap before and now I feel soo free and positive. This phase of life is best. That feeling of doing something that you wanted badly is amazing. If your mind can conceive it, you can achieve it🚭❤ As the quote says " respect your body- that's where you live for the next 30 yrs 👌
Smoking is one of the worse things human can do I been of cigarette for 2months I stopped smoking weed years ago now cigarettes is over not easy but you have to keep going and watching this clips it helps alot
I've only smoked a pack and a half in my whole life. Decided to try it "Casually" to see what the fuss is about. The first head rush is what really gets you to keep trying it, but the tolerance just builds up and you smoke them just to feel "normal" I'm even really into fitness and will always be, and the only reason I won't continue is because it will negatively impact my fitness goals and other areas of life. However still vape nicotine occasionally and do it in moderation. Definitely quitting all together regardless.
No, I disagree, don't put ANYTHING into your lungs. The poison in vaping smoke is just as dangerous as regular cigarette smoke. It will affect other parts of your body aside from just your lungs.
Kitty. I am 75 years old and have never smoked a single "cancer stick." Smoking killed both of my parents before they were 60 years old. That was 50 years ago now. I am proud of you! Your life will be far better off for having made that decision.
I’m more than happy to discover this channel. I need to thank you for your time for this, particularly a fantastic watch!! I liked every little bit of it and I have subscribed you to look at new posts all the time.
How do you overcome the desire to smoke? It’s so hard. I’ve tried many times to quit but I always start again. I tell myself this is the last one but it never is.
If You Really Wanna Quit Then Stop It Right Now It is tough to quit but once you pass 2 week without any Cigg you’ll start Feeling Normal And No More Hard urge to light up
Today is the 5th day of quitting smoking. I smoked since 2010. But i fell refreshing and anxious same time. I know I shall overcome this anxiety n win .
Never give up , stay strong ! Falling down and lighting a cigarette does not mean the battle is lost. I have abstained for 3 weeks, 9 months, and now I am determined to go all the way 😳 😁 Lets do this mdfkz.❤👊🏻❤
I understand but think about all the relaxing and stress that will be gone when you are in that casket at a "too young to die age". Stop now B 4 it's too late.😢😢
Why I stopped smoking a couple of weeks ago. Saw immediate progress in my health going back up. Vaping so far and smoking weed has shone to be waaaay healthier. It’s not really just the smoke in the cigarettes, it’s also the fact they put shit like radioactive pesticides when growing the tobacco.
I just recently lost an uncle due to esophagus and liver cancer due to years of smoking. Another uncle of mine has multiple stents in his chest, another one passed from copd, my grandmother passed from lung cancer at the age of 62 again from years of smoking. One of my exes mothers has copd, early stage emphysema and tumors in her lungs. My great aunt who’s in her 70s and lives alone is now on oxygen and is probably still smoking cigarettes.
I have been smoking since I was 13 and I now smoke heavily at 40. I choose NEVER to quit because I am super dependent on cigarettes and I cannot see my life without them. I struggle with vocal hoarseness but it doesn’t matter to me.
Chad ! Try smoking 6 cigarettes one after another. No break in between. You will feel sick ......REALLY sick. !! Then do it again.! Repeat a few times.. You will come to hate even the smell of cigarettes smoke.. It's drastic but it works.!!
Harshavardhan Pantula I hate my husband for smoking! Time and time again ive been telling him to stop and hes affecting me so much too! Its like if i will have grounds for divorce it is because hes smoking habit caused the demise of our marriage. I hate smoke and smokers!
It increases people's risk of cancer almost happened in 2019. Second hand smoke can increase cancer risk.Saw someone smoking next to the fridge. Asked them to move away from the fridge. I feel angry as I don't want to get another scare. I couldnt open the fridge. Detest the smell also.
Islam, can you tell me what was so pleasurable about smoking? I could never start because being around people smoking makes me sneeze, I get an acrid painful sense in my nose and throat, I cough uncontrollably. It is an extremely unpleasant and irritating experience, and I don't smoke! I am so phobic about smoking that I cannot speak (or obviously write) the cord that names those stupid white cylinders that people stuff in their mouths. It not only looks stupid but tellsd me that smokers do not care or do not know of the inherent dangers of smoking. CONGRATULATIONS ON QUITTING AS SOON AS YOU DID. BE PROUD OF YOURSELF.
Deanna Jackson may be reason that if you did smoke you would of caught cancer easier or anything else. Praise God it wasn’t your battle otherwise you wouldn’t be here now
Cannot deny that after a smoke break, they come back in a great mood, and I have never met a non-personality unintelligent type that smoked. It is a micro party. I almost smoked, but a runaway cherry almost burnt down my rust bucket truck. Gave the rest to friends, a whole box of Camel Crushes, or Marlboro Skylines, was over a decade ago.
The book "Easy way to quit smoking by alan carr" helped me to quit smoking , i smoked heavily for 10 years , its been a year i never touched a cigarette , it really feels amazing
A swedish snus, my #1 favourite snus is the only thing that removed 98% of my total smoke craving when i started using it often every day. It is a swedish snus by "Swedish Match" called "Nick & Johnny Crushed Ice" and is a strong snus. Today i have only smoked 1 cigarette. Finally after 10-25 cigarettes a day for around 16 years i now will be able to stop smoking. Edit* Now i have finally stopped smoking completely. Have no smokingcravings at all. And haven't touched a cig for 4 whole days now. That's 96 hours. I am so proud of myself and feel so much healthier and rarely cough anymore. And my hands and feet are getting warmer. They were always cold when i was a smoker. I finally did quit smoking tobacco at 18th of august 2019. Haven't smoked tobacco at all since then.
Been smoking 35 years now and none of this stuff was on the cigarette packs I smoked, just may cause lung cancer ty for this I have developed P.A.D. IM 58 and my femoral artery is full of calcium, and I have a blood clot in calf all from smoking, the doctor won`t even operate on me till I quit, thanks for this video, should be shown in grade schools. The only people who get P.A.D. are smokers and diabetics. Peripheral Artery Disease.
I told myself years ago that the only time i can really quit smoking is that when i get really inlove with someone and she will have me choose between her or smoking. Now, i found that girl that i really love. Unfortunately she is also a smoker. LOL
Ik this is an unpopular opinion unlike "JusT SmOkE WeED" but maybe try cigars you dont inhale alot of places allow it more than cigs and its in someways more acceptable than cigs since i switched to cigars ive had better responses than when i smoked cigs
I finished watching this video and lighted a fresh stick of cigi. I still believe everything is bad and everything is good, the right question is the level of use, or amount use. Stay free from abuse of anything whatsoever, not just smoking.
My mother got copd and passed away in 2018 from cigarettes. My father was diagnosed last year with lung and kidney cancer from cigarette smoking. Whatever you do... Just dont smoke.
I didn't think some of the symptoms existed from smoking. The cataracts, blood thickening, and high cholesterol. I'm actually surprised. And more surprising is people say that they get these symptoms because of inheritance (whether you do smoke or not) when it's actually the case because you giving your body higher chances of the symptoms from smoking.
Inheritance in like 98% of the times is your parrents having bad lifestyle choices and habits which you inherit and ruin your own life, sometimes their habbits can ruin your life without you ever adopting their habbits like second hand smoking when you are growing kid
I wanted to quit so much but the problem is I just can't quit by myself. being in the environment where most people smoke it's hard to quit easily,I'm still trying though.
I quit 10 days ago and my dad have a tabbaco plantation. So that means i see cigarettes in our home everywhere. Everybody smoke in my family but i‘m still strong and i‘ll never go back. You can do it too
you know some smoker is watching this and still thinking that he or she is too special to be infected with any of these being shown..but hey your days r numbered..just quit ones n for all

I’m 14 shouldn’t be doing it but when I smoke feels like my stomach get stabbed a tiny bit sometimes
Tom honourable mentions: Smoking’s bad, mkay?
I have quit smoking, but I can understand the kind of pleasure it gives and it's damn addictive
It does not give any pleasures. There is no no pleasure or enjoyment by smoking. It's a deception and illusion.
Watching this to fight the smoking urge 🗿
Same
When I quit smoking at age 31, I sucked on Hall's mentho lyptus cough drops when I had the urge to smoke. They definitely helped. Today, I am 61 and have never smoked another cigarette since. Life is beautiful without the poison called cigarettes.
@@lduranceau8046 yup I quit exactly one year ago 🫣. I’m not sure if I can keep it up but yeah … I’m so proud of you 🤍
I've smoked for 16 years and now I've stopped for 6 days.. It's hard but I'll get there. Stay strong to all quitters!
I smoked from age 13 and am now 71. Haven't smoked a cigarette for 15 days
whenever I have the urgency to smoke, I just watch this vids and made me realize again not to smoke. Happy 1yr smoke free aniv. to me. Quit smokin guys and live healthy.
Stress is killing me and I just smoke. I recently started smoking pipes so this video really make me quit.
smoking from 2004 tried quitting few times and longest period was 6 months damn this is a headache I will try again hopefully who ever smokes or planning to smoke should stop anyhow it is nothing but trouble
I will never go back to smoking. 5 weeks so far and I am determined to never smoke again. Watching these videos motivates me.
That is great.
NEVER EVER smoke again!
What a coincidence, ive just recently quit smoking, hopefully this video will provide some extra motivation 👍
Hope I can do it 🙏🙏
@@captaina8749 Yes you absolutely can! It will be much worth it. Good luck!
@@lillianp8900 thanks man 🙏 really appreciate it
Sadly, I watched this with a cigarette in my hand-used to be an athlete, former military member, health fanatic..it’s amazing how making a few bad choices has caused a battle with addiction to cigarettes.
You will be okay
Did you ever find that habit replace smoking? If not, your really just blowing smoke in our faces.

Still people enjoy smoking. I gave up four years ago and although I don't want to smoke again I understand why people enjoy it.
Edis K Rad because it’s an addiction
Logan Jericho it's also a get away from a stressful situation. Now when I'm getting stressed out I have to almost meditate where as smokers get time to go outside for a cigarette.
I was smoking while watching this
Curtis Cloud everyone needs something to enjoy :D
Fawgy just quit today! Don't fall into trap.
Smoking killed my mother. It gave her skin cancer, heart attack, and ultimately a pulmonary embolism. I had to put up with it for 24 years of my life. The whole no-smoking thing is a silver lining to my mom's death.
Hi really sorry about your mum God bless her soul and may she rest in peace
i'm an active smoker, and tbh, i'm looking something that can inspired me to quit smoking.
I'm glad you're quitting, fighting! 👏
If your mind can conceive it, you can achieve it🚭❤
As the quote says " respect your body- that's where you live for the next 30 yrs 👌
What about today?
I'm only a young teen and im NEVER smoking ONCE in my entire life! It's nasty and killed my great uncle!
I can proudly say I haven't smoked a single cigarette 😌🤞❣️

You're not alone
How do you overcome the desire to smoke? It’s so hard. I’ve tried many times to quit but I always start again. I tell myself this is the last one but it never is.
If You Really Wanna Quit Then Stop It Right Now It is tough to quit but once you pass 2 week without any Cigg you’ll start Feeling Normal And No More Hard urge to light up
Im truing to quit smoking, but its so hard on work breaks, smoking relieves the boredom
You can do it! You are stronger than a stupid stick! I believe in you!

Good luck with cancer then
Understood. Yet it actually stresses your body more.

Except, you didn't quit. You imposter.
Terrible what cigarettes do to humanity. You have had your share of suffering from smoking.
I quit smoking jan 30th 2021... Now am ful happy.. God's grace..

Truly Terrifying 😭. I wish smoking had never been discovered/created
I have been smoking since I was 13 and I now smoke heavily at 40. I choose NEVER to quit because I am super dependent on cigarettes and I cannot see my life without them. I struggle with vocal hoarseness but it doesn’t matter to me.
Chad ! Try smoking 6 cigarettes one after
another. No break in between. You will feel sick ......REALLY sick. !! Then do it again.!
Repeat a few times.. You will come to hate
even the smell of cigarettes smoke..
It's drastic but it works.!!
Happy to say that I’ve never smoked a day in life to date.

Also get the BreatheEasy Lung Exerciser to quickly tone breathing muscles and open airways. 👍🏼👍🏼
It increases people's risk of cancer almost happened in 2019. Second hand smoke can increase cancer risk.Saw someone smoking next to the fridge. Asked them to move away from the fridge. I feel angry as I don't want to get another scare. I couldnt open the fridge. Detest the smell also.
I’m a university student, when I was 19 I started smoking, but now as I’m 21, I stopped smoking, it wasn’t easy though, my lungs feel so fresh :)
This is why I'm glad I never smoked.
Deanna Jackson Me too, glad they upped the smoking and vaping age to 21
@@u2yes1dnoedcpsabrinakittyb2 smoking and drinking should be for age 40 and older. Less shortcomings should be a likely result

Oooooh, look at me, I've never smoked everybody, lol
I love the taste of milk chocolate . I had the DARE program at school , really helped me . I don't smoke , drink , or do any drugs .
This should be taught more at schools. Great video
👍👍🇬🇧 !
7 years smoke free!! AWESOME 😎
What about today?
MUFFIN SAVIOR I think cigars are probably worse health wise

I finished watching this video and lighted a fresh stick of cigi. I still believe everything is bad and everything is good, the right question is the level of use, or amount use. Stay free from abuse of anything whatsoever, not just smoking.
My mother got copd and passed away in 2018 from cigarettes. My father was diagnosed last year with lung and kidney cancer from cigarette smoking. Whatever you do... Just dont smoke.

Giving up smoking is slighlty tough at first, but its easy to stop
Only slightly? Really? Not for most smokers I have known it is not easy at all.
Smoking harmful to eyes is known by a few who feels.... You covered it in this video, Very Good information.....
You can do it too
I've never smoked once, but second hand smoke is literally gonna kill me, especially when I visit my sister and her boyfriend.
