They have one called DIY Glow Cozy that is fantastic for making ghosts. I've made 4 so far. I'm also going to use it to enhance the eyes of my next loaf cat.
If what they use to make the yarn glow in the dark is anything like the glow pigments I've used in resin projects, uv is definitely the way to go to get the most glow time out of the item. Idk if I'd ever make a whole project out of just that but I have had the idea to use it, or the glow yarn that red heart came out with a little while ago to knit up a hat out of black yarn and then embroider some stars and a moon onto it with the glow yarn or something. As for podcast recs, I'm more of a fiction podcast enjoyer, but my sister really loves the wine & crime podcast, and while true crime isn't my personal cup of tea from what I listened to of it it's pretty entertaining
Used this stuff to make a spider web cover-up/sweater and it looks really neat. I thought the glow was kind of mid but it still turned out nice I think; it was my first time making clothes, so im proud of it regardless. And I agree, there's a bit of drag when working the yarn that was a little frustrating. I used a 4.5mm I think? I can't remember. Anyway, I think it's the coating on the yarn that makes it glow that's causing the drag.
Happy belated birthday!! I just love when Lilly interrupts the video cause its adorable. Ive seen the glow in the dark yarn but because of its stiffness, I havent wanted to buy any.
Thank you!! Haha I’m glad you appreciate Lily’s interruptions. She is so sassy. It is definitely quite stiff. I’m sure just because of the glow in the dark chemicals?
This yarn has intrigued me! Thanks for checking it out for us! I was curious because I saw a lightning bug amigurumi made with it and it was really cute! Happy birthday! Sept 11 is my birthday too! 😳
I will say, I do have a UV lamp and I made a ghost out of the cotton yarn. I got it to last a good few hours after charging it for roughly 2-3 minutes under the lamp. It’s extremely bright for maybe 30-40 minutes and then just fades slowly over time.
@@chloehayman9654 yeah I can’t imagine making anything too big out of it. They have a cozy line now. I’m thinking of getting some to try and see if it works better. I also maybe suck it up and get a UV lamp while I’m at it 😅
Both items turned out so cute!! Nice improvisation with the mushroom lol that such a little amount of yarn tho for the price and quality of it and for podcast I don’t listen to them often but if you like music lore/back stories I guess you could say disgraceland is a pretty awesome one
I've had this yarn in worsted weight for a while now and haven't made anything yet. I also saw they make other colors of it now too. As for podcasts, Crime Junkie. They even do follow ups when there are updates.
