Nice one. Starting to get hyped up for the winter myself. The canals near me in Ireland are so weedy at the moment but they'll clear up a bit soon. Can't wait.
Yeah there’s a good few areas I fish that are choked with weed at the moment. Fingers crossed as the temp starts dropping it starts clearing up sharpish! Time to hunt the big girls then!! 👍🏻👊🏻

Where abouts were you fishing mate? I do a few deliveries around Manc and have always fancied a go at the canals. Got a Salford friendly permit but not fished any of the waters yet.
Hello pal, this was the town Center stretch of the bridgewater canal. As far as I’m aware it’s free to fish. Haven’t seen any signs or been asked for a permit the times I’ve fished there so you should be alright. Cheers for watching 👍🏻👊🏻

Hi i wonder if you can give me any perch fishing tips? I was a trout fly fishing man most of my life but its boring and expensive. Ive tried a few places but only once had a not to bad a day with some small perch and a few Jack's. Its been very sunny when ive been out. Is that where im going wrong. Im in Scotland but to far from the big Lochs and 3/4 hr from our only canal. Am i better waiting till it cools down? 😎

Hello pal. That’s a tsurinoya master. Great little rod made for trout. Just picked up a tsurinoya dexterity 2 and I’d say it would be better for canal soft plastic work as it’s a touch longer and a fast action 👍🏻👊🏻

I’ve been thinking about trying my favourite Keitech lures in white…pink being the current favourite.
I’m never sure if colour makes any difference if the fish are present and peckish.
Cheers mate! White is always a winner as is black. Pink also does well. Think the more coloured the water is the more it has to stand out. Darker usually is better. Seem to do well with lighter and natural colours in clearer water. I go bright in clear water esp when it’s cold if it’s slow going to get a reaction bite. Have noticed a change in the catch rate since I’ve started analysing the water and temps. Cheers for the continued support pal 👍🏻👊🏻

Often fish clear water so will buy white and natural next time I’m on eBay.
Small cranks I’ve always gone with natural. I had a mad session using pink creatures last year and not changed much since.
And never grow up btw, that’s the best thing about being a bloke - still finding joy in childish things 😀

A small river I’ve not fished this season yet, almost went somewhere else. Lots of cover so great for perch.

What line do you use for bfs
Hello pal, I usually use berkley x9 with a drennan supplex flouro leader. On the ul rod I’ve got tsurinoya braid, really good stuff and cheap 👍🏻👊🏻
