In this video we are pike fishing on canals with lures in a town centre. Lure fishing using the Abu Garcia Beast lures we are in search of some canal Pike. It's been hard going lately and Tom hasn't caught a pike in a while, let's see if he can catch one!

That’s a weird assumption of a cold blooded predatory dinosaur. I think a more logical reason, as we know pike fatten up during colder weather, would be they are just not as hungry, as they are feeding on the fish that actually do go ‘lefargic’.

I really like the way that rucksack has compartments that have netting and strapping inside so everything can be held down not like in other bags where it's just an compartment that you throw everything in and it all gets mixed together, so I'm getting one for me self and one for yer mum😉🙏🏻

Tough fishing in England. I have lived in Milton Keynes and fished all around midlands, north and east side, cathing a fish is like a reward.
Went fishing yesterday all day in Lower Lough Erne in Fermanagh, caught over 20 pike, and my buddy same numbers too, biggest one around 12 pound, few brown trout as well. Biggest one I landed was 22 pound, bit have seen a 40 pounder caught in my home town. Cracking place to live in.

Idk what kinda fish you have, but I like catfishing in winter or cool moths or crappie fish, I throw a spoon or panther martin's in early spring.

When i used to fish leeds and liverpool canal id do a lot of pole fishing and wed also fish live and dead bait for pike ive had pike attack my keep net scary stuff

You're right we deffo need to get our dead bait game up!
Static fishing is clearly not what this channel is about. Lure fishing takes a degree of skill, unlike dead-baiting.
@@jackyelnats3543 yes ino I've watched there channel for a long time I was only pointing it out. But deadbait does take skill to its not as simple as putting a dead fish on a line u need to know how to fish in weed conditions, how to present ur bait on a pop up and how to fish a weed rig. Also how to keep deadbait on at long distance also on deadbait there alot more equipment like alarms, bobbins, bait, setting up ur bait runners so there no resistance but also so u detect drop backs and. I do both Lure and deadbait for over 26 years and I can honestly say deadbaiting isn't easy atall if ur just chucking in a float with a sprat on that's not always gonna get u best baits in some conditions there alot more to it to be successful. Hence why I've had multiple doubles and not blank in awhile

Its mad hard to catch in winter on lures, had maybe one pike in last 5 sessions on Westin shad teez. Tried everything from jig flies to Svartzonker. I noticed a good time for a session is when the temp suddenly goes up .

I have fished this area for years, there are some very good fish in certain places, but you needed to use larger lures like in the second part. Ive had em out to 22lb....happy hunting.
