I grew up a Reds fan back in the 60's and 70's. It was the greatest time to be a baseball fan, and a huge part of that was because of Pete Rose. It pretty much ruined baseball for me after that, because I never saw another player that played the game with the passion that Pete played with. Now it just seems like a bunch of overpaid guys that don't even care to be on the field.

As we got further away, the signal kept getting weaker but Dad kept it on …. even through the static, the roar of the crowd was noticeable… and didn’t stop…. We love Pete!

There was nothing like watching him play. I was a Dodger fan growing up but I was always a closet Rose fan. I don’t care about him betting on baseball, he belongs in the HOF and I pray he gets in before he dies.
