Phil ! that is a great Idea, I had not thought of those pads. I use magic eraser pads in the house all the time and never even thought of it. Thank you for sharing another great tip, i appreciate you.😃
@@RVKevin Here is another one from experience. If it is really dirty with lots of mold, spray the underside with your cleaner of choice (I use simplegreen), util it is dripping everywhere. Roll it back up and let it sit for 30 minutes. Unroll, wipe and hose it off.
My rv has a metal cover when it's rolled up. I still bring it out once a month to check the inside. I also use soap and water. Yes I like seeing you work. Thanks Don
Your Metal cover should protect your awning better than mine does. I hope your awning is clean so that you do not have to do much work to do. This will give you more time to make those great Videos that you do ! 😎
I keep my RV in the driveway, and after each rain I unfurl the awning and let the sun dry it out. I live in sunny Southern California so no snow to deal with and plenty of sunshine to dry out the canopy after the occasional rain.😎
Cover the rolled up awning with plastic gutter when you are unable to keep the whole RV out of the elements. It’s a cheap fix and eliminates having to clean as often due to mold growth from sitting water.
What steps do you take to maintain and clean you RV or camper awning ?
We try to clean ours every few weeks, agree with you -- it takes little time and it's so worth it.
SolesTraveling, the small details keep our rigs running smoothly while we journey with our RV's. Safe travels to you.
Mr Clean Magic Eraser Mop has some "grit" to really hit the mold lines without causing any damage 🍸🍸

Mine also has a metal cover, but I think I have to check it out. Long time I didn’t unroll it. Thank you for the advice!

Charles, I miss those nice sunny days of California and to me, putting the awning out is a good sign that RV good times are about to begin !
