Absolutely fantastic. One nice thing about the T-Rex stuff is that it is all designed to be layer-able: the spacers and tolerances allow you to use their engine guard, skid plate, and forward controls all at the same time. Or any one of them. I kind of want to try dropping a muffpot in the front of that skid plate for a hot meal on the road. Hang it by the front lip, on the inside. Possibly too hot there, but it amused me to think about.
😱 This is definitely one of those “to each their own” projects. An Off Road Cruiser!?! 🤯To me it’s sacrilege, and just the idea of it is downright blasphemous!!🤣 So why not just trade the Rebel in for an Africa Twin and be done with it?!? Besides, the Honda CMX1100 Rebels engine is a toned down version of the Africa Twins engine, they are not the same! The Africa Twin puts out 100hp and 76 lb-ft of torque! The Rebel puts out a mere 84hp and 72 lb-ft of torque. I love my 2022 Honda CMX1100 Rebel the way it is, including the cosmetic and functional modifications that I have made, but that’s my preference! It’s all subjective, and I have to say that I admire your ingenuity and creativity! I can’t wait to see the finished product cruising the back woods and off road trails across America! Awesome video dude, thanks! 😎✌️👍
The fun is in the modding, especially when you get bored with a bike. Instead of scratching the itch of getting a new one, why not build something more interesting? I'm currently doing the same thing. Having way more fun in my garage + saving a ton of money modding my Rebel 1100 into a scrambler as well.
@@armchairbikerstv yeah, I took my fender off in prep for some knobbies and happened to ride on wet roads today... it was not fun lol. sucks because it looks great without a fender!
Great video, she’s almost ready for Unadilla on Aug 10.

@@EvanEdwards I think you just gave us an idea for a video, using my skid plate as a fry pan lol. Thanks for watching

@@josht717 this is exactly what happened to me, I was ready to sell it, now here I am lol
I think spray paint the grips, match the tank or flat black and put them on.
The skidplate looks great! I didn't expect it to be aluminum - that's a nice touch. Are you planning on fabbing raised brackets for the front fender?
@@josht717 yes that’s also one of the next things to come, off-road or even just wet roads with no front fender is worse than I thought lol
