    This video was a big help! Thank you! Here's how I replaced the 3/16" line from tank to carb.... If your fuel line kit doesn't come with the wire tool, just push about 1/2 to 2/3 of the new fuel line into the 3/16" opening on the top of the tank. Then insert a tool or hook into the large (normal) tank opening, grab the new line, and pull it out the large opening. Take the fuel filter and push it onto the new line. Now push the new hose with filter back into the tank. Pull any excess new line out from the top of the tank so the filter sits on the bottom. Finally, connect the new line to the carb. Hope this helps :)

    Great tip! I resorted to using a smaller fuel line to insert the line in the tank. I'm going to do this instead.

    • @EdwinGonzalez-yd1fi
      @EdwinGonzalez-yd1fi 4 месяца назад +1

      When you insert the new tube, put enough in so you can pull it out where you put the gas in. then install the piece on to the tube and then go back to the top and pull out the excess tube ( until it'sa half to inch in)

  • @supportanddefend648

    This is easier if you remove the fuel tank and apply the lines then run them to the carburetor and reattach the fuel tank .

    Putting the return tube in was almost like trying to put a square peg into a round hole lol

      Yes it was like pushing on a piece of thread and it was the most difficult part.

    I just went ahead I got a little file and as soon as the Thin part started whitening on the file and touching the hole I just turned it a little to widen the hole so the line could fit. I can get a drill bit and make it a little wider but I wouldn't count on all the scrap plastic falling inside so definitely something around that why that could fit inside the hole and stretch the hole out just a little and it takes literally about a second to 2 seconds

    Hi bro how to change oil on tb 22 trimmer I can't find anything

    • @TheEclecticHandyman
      @TheEclecticHandyman  4 месяца назад

      Hello - if you mean a Troy-Bilt 22, it's a 2-stroke engine so there is no engine oil to change. The cylinder is lubricated via the 2-cycle oil mixed with gas. If for some reason your model is a 4-stroke, then there would be oil to change but the specs I see on the TB22 are that it's a 2-cycle engine. www.troybilt.com/en_US/string-trimmers/tb22-curved-shaft-string-trimmer/41CDZ25C766.html

    It helps to cut the fuel line on the top at an angle. Then it helps to put a little grease or Petroleum jelly on the ends.

    I replaced my line as well with that same kit but it leaks fuel on the tank side where the line goes in. Also a Craftsman trimmer.

  • @MikeP1541

    After you cut the angle on the return line, dip it inside oil…makes it A WHOLE LOT EASIER feeding it through that hole.

    I went out there two weed eat and I heard something rattling in the gas station and I saw that it was the fuel filter the tube that went in it had completely disintegrated I went to home Depot and all they had was a kit for all three lines is this the only way? Please help I'm 67-year-old handicapped female without a guy around. And the kit cost almost $30. Which I really can't afford.

    I went o my tractor supply today and got the fuel return line but one size 1/8 and it’s thick it’s no way getting it in the small hole I think I need the 3/16 smaller one so tomorrow I’ll try harbor fright and get the 3/16 one size down and Mandy could finally trim around my palm trees

      Yeah I address that at the 3:26 mark here: ruclips.net/video/vTnyzz37sNk/видео.htmlsi=lq_uAlXezX9REX0A&t=206 The line I was replacing was just a return line so it was not required to replace in my application. This repair has been working now for 4 years (still using that same weed trimmer) so getting the return line inserted enough worked well for my trimmer.
