- Hi. In this video I'm showing you how to replace fuel lines on strimmers / chainsaws / hedge trimmers / blowers / etc . anything with similar fuel pipes. I hope this video helps you out. Please like and subscribe. Thanks for watching
Great to see a normal bloke roughly showing how to do a job, Yes he was dropping things, and a bit clumsy like most of us but job done, thanks mate👍🏻
Very helpful thanks and the tip about cutting the pipe on an angle to help get it in was really useful. Thanks, Diolch.
As a fellow Welshman, the automated captions on this gave me a good giggle. Thanks for the video. Inherited an ancient strimmer and this has done the trick, old line had perished.
Great lesson, I am now going to do my srimmer.
Very good, my strimmer 30 years old, not used for 20 years and just done exactly this. Thank you
Great video man
Good video, just done my trimmer lines, all I done was remove the black grommet and fed pipes through,no leaks ,done it for years,
You can also use the silicon lubricant spray to ease your new lines through the rubber tank bung. Most of the problems with filters are due to the E10 petrol. The 10%Ethanol in the petrol dissolves the fuel lines and some of the filter cages which gum up the works. E5 petrol is better, but the ethanol can still dissolve the lines but slower. Very useful video thanks.
I'm a Scott and all I can say is cheers Calvin the brother Celt wot an easy vid to follow 👍👍👍👍
I love it. I haven't laughed so much since Laural & Hardy.
This, was outstanding. I’m so impractical such tutorials are a life saver.
What an absolute faff mind you. Thanks for this.
Thanks for the video. I got a hedge trimmer and when I emptied the fuel a thing fell out. It was the filter that has a weight to make it drain fuel at any angle.
The pipes were breaking down. I took the fuel tank off and the grommet that holds the pipes AND used a caliper to get the pipe size. Now to find pipe.
Good tip. Thanks.
Very useful, thank you. Just replaced the pipes on my strimmer.
Excellent video Calvin, it sure helped me out. I'm back up and running. Many thank for Ebbw Vale. Mike
Hi you remind of the great Tommy Cooper, he just couldn't do anything right, yet the people 😍 loved him. I must admit I enjoyed your presentation well done, at least you gave us a good laugh. Lived in North Wales for years colyn Bay. Worked on the a55. Great to hear that lovely Welsh accent again. Muchas gracias 😎 Liam kilkee clare ireland

Just sorted the lines on a broken strimmer I got given! Air filter is missing but I'm hoping I can rig that with a bit of sponge and cloth secured over where it should be instead!

Excellent video thank you . What brand of hand tools are you using?
Thankyou
My toro weed eater I changed carb out and worked fine for about 20 minutes then had soo much trouble starting and keep it running . Could ba bad gas or what ? Spark plug I dropped and may have damaged the gap ?
good video, the main problems with Strimmer's, Chainsaws ect made in china is the fuel lines, A Proper Gasoline fuel lines are what you need ,guy from a model shop told me this. how many people have used there strimmer one year without problem then the next year it wont start ? its 9/10 the fuel lines perished
I've got to change the fuel lines on my strimmer as I think one is split and causing it to suck in air. What fuel filters do you recommend.
Hi Hard worker. I use various types but I quite like this type. Try this link. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-pack-Fuel-Filter-Pick-Up-For-Husqvarna-50-51-55-61-268-272-XP-353-365-372-New/322562093938?hash=item4b1a32f372:g:8AoAAOSwSzRZShCp. Also the black and white ones and also the ones with like a steel cage around the filter. Heavier the better I think to flop about in the tank I reckon. Hope this info helps. Cheers Calvin
I used calibers like yours in 1962. Can you still read them?
👍
Christ that was painful!
Fuck em
I could really do with some help here , I,'ve watched this but it's not adding up.
Why not just prise the bung out, they are a push interference fit?
The outside diameter does not represent the correct size of line because it is the inside that assists to determines the amount of fuel you receive at the carburetor !
Sorry I mispelt Colwyn Bay. Liam kilkee clare ireland 🍀
Very useful much appreciated. The subtitles don't understand your accent - that was quite amusing :)
I can.t even subscribe or share for later for some reason.
I need an email by the looks of it, but there's not much chance of that as you.ll think I.m a scammer .but I have 3 weeks to clear my allotment of weeds
